Starters: K Reeves (Starter/Gear), W Best (Driver/Brands)
Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
Stewards approved the following Driver change:
Race 1 YAWOMA –Due to Ms A Viddovich’s concession claim being reduced from 5 points to 3 points after driving her 100th winner at Gloucester Park on Friday 28 November 2025, she was replaced by Driver L Kennelly.
RACE 1 – TABTOUCH PACE (1609MS)
SHOOBEES DOUBLE (M Young) - Inconvenienced entering the front straight on the final occasion when LUNA GODDESS (K Harper) gave ground.
RACE 2 – SKY RACING PACE (2100MS)
SHES A DACTYL (A Hiltunen) - Due to the beaten margin of approximately 139m a post-race veterinary examination was conducted which revealed that the mare had an elevated heart rate which was indicative of it having choked down in running. Trainer Mr P Duggan advised that the tongue tie had broken in running and consequently believed the mare may have choked down in the later stages of the event.
RACE 3 – SWAN DRAUGHT PACE (2100MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 4 – ELDERS REAL ESTATE PACE (2100MS)
Driver L Elliott (THERE AND THEN) was interviewed in relation to the mare racing roughly in the score up and he advised that despite his efforts the mare pulled hard in the score up and contacted the barrier arm causing it to race roughly for a short distance. A warning was issued against the mare’s starting manners.
RACE 5 – CAPTAIN AHAB – POWERFUL & ATHLETIC STALLION PACE (2100MS)
All clear was delayed by Stewards to review the head on vision of the final stages in relation to AKABAH (R Warwick) utilising the sprint lane over the concluding stages. After viewing the official patrol vision and interviewing Driver Mr R Warwick Stewards found that AKABAH had not raced inside marker pegs entering the sprint lane and no further action was taken.
ALTA GABBANA (S McDonald) - Galloped at the start. Raced roughly in the back straight for a short distance. Trainer Mr H Reeves was advised that the filly will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.
AKABAH (R Warwick) - Hung out on the first turn and inconvenienced several runners. A warning was issued against the gelding’s racing manners.
WESMEDAD (T Wheeler) - Inconvenienced leaving the front straight on the first occasion.
BOOM IT UP (M Young) - Inconvenienced leaving the front straight on the first occasion.
MACHTAYLOR (S Steele) - Inconvenienced leaving the front straight on the first occasion.
RACE 6 – SKT PRETRAINING AND BREAKING SERVICES PACE (2100MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 7 – RETRAVISION PACE (2100MS)
All clear was delayed at the request of the Driver of the second placed CAPPY THE FIREY (A Markham) in relation to an incident in the front straight on the final occasion. Mr A Markham subsequently lodged a protest against the first placed I AM SIAM (S Suvaljko) alleging that Driver S Suvaljko shifted into the sprint lane and tightened his drive over the final stages. After taking evidence from both drivers, reviewing the official footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards dismissed the protest on the basis that Mr S Suvaljko had not allowed his drive to enter the sprint lane and cause interference to the extent to warrant any amendment to the placings.
WAHINE TOA (H Charles) - Out of position at the start. The mare will now be placed right outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.
