RWWA STEWARDS’ SUMMARY REPORT
MEETING HELD AT BUNBURY ON SATURDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2025

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
Due to Driver C Wallrodt being indisposed, the following change was approved:
Race 3 – THE MERCENARY – C Voak
RACE 1 – MILLARD MARINE BUNBURY 3YO PACE (2100MS)
CIGAANDA (T Lynn) - Gave ground from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver T Lynn reported the filly raced in a flat manner.
RACE 2 – ARCHIE BEER 78 WEARING A BIG SMILE PACE (2100MS)
No racing incidents to report
RACE 3 – CHRISTMAS RAFFLE ON SALE NOW DRAWN 9TH DECEMBER PACE (2100MS)
SHES A DACTYL (A Markham) - Gave ground from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with its tongue over the bit. Trainer Mr P Duggan advised a gear change will be considered for future starts to rectify this issue.
RACE 4 – CAPTAIN AHAB STANDING AT MURRAY VETS PACE (2100MS)
MISS STEFANI (A Hiltunen) – Broke gait entering front straight on the final occasion. The mare will now be stood down from racing for 6 days and until the completion of a satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
CRETACEOUS (D Kerr) - Checked and broke gait entering the front straight on the final occasion.
BEYOND BLING (S McDonald) - Severely checked and raced roughly entering the front straight on the final occasion.
RACE 5 – WASBA BOB HUMPHRIES WESTBRED FILLIES AND MARES MEMORIAL PACE (2100MS)
OUR SANDY SHORE (D Egerton-Green) - When interviewed in relation to the mare breaking gait entering the home straight on the final occasion, Driver D Egerton-Green advised that the mare shifted inwards as ALTA ALLURE (J Suvaljko) hung outwards and consequently contacted its wheel and broke gait. After considering all the circumstances, Stewards took no further action.
ASHANTI PRINCESS (L Harper) - Commenced to pull hard entering the back straight on the first occasion with the lugging pole becoming detached, placing the driver at a disadvantage and was restrained to the rear of the field.
HONOUR THE EAGLE (T Wheeler) – Gave ground from the 500m. Stewards later contacted Trainer B Wheeler in relation the mare’s poor performance. Mr Wheeler advised the mare has come to the end of her preparation and will now go for a short spell and she may have not been suited to the heavy track conditions.
SWEET SASSYMOLASSY (H Charles) - Inconvenienced behind a tiring runner leaving the back straight on the final occasion.
RACE 6 – WILD WEST FAMILY NYE BOOK ONLINE NOW 3YO FILLIES PACE (2100MS)
THREE FLAMES - Late scratching at 5:45pm when Trainer M Scott advised that the filly could not be loaded onto the float for transport to the course.
SAIFAH PRINCESS (L Harper) - Fractious in score up, out of position at the start, broke gait shortly after and trailed the field thereafter. Now placed out of the draw for future mobile barrier events.
RACE 7 – BOOK COPY THAT IN NOVEMBER FOR A 25% DISCOUNT PACE (2100MS)
WAHNIE TOA (H Charles) - Out of position at the start. Will remain out of the draw for future mobile start events.
