Due to Driver S Suvaljko electing to take a previous driving suspension from midnight 8th November 2024, the following driver changes were approved by the Stewards:
Race 1 – ALTA EGO – K Harper
Race 3 – SPOIL THE PARTY – E Suvaljko
Race 6 – YO ADRIAN – G Hall Jnr
RACE 1 – TABTOUCH PACE (1609MS)
A false start was declared at the first starting attempt when FIREPLAY (M Miller) broke gait in the latter stages of the score up checking PACIFIC EAGLE (C Playle).
FIREPLAY (M Miller) – Made contact with the mobile barrier arm in the early stages of the score up and then broke gait in the latter stages of the score up causing a false start. Taking into consideration the gelding had made contact with the mobile barrier arm prior to breaking gait, will be placed outside the draw for 2 mobile barrier events provided it does not re-offend.
BETTERTHAN SECRET (S McDonald) – Driver S McDonald was reprimanded under HR156(2)(a) for using his whip in more than a flicking motion.
RACE 2 – JONES BOYS GVM NEW ALPHA HYBRID UTE PACE (2100MS)
MADDY MADDY (S McDonald) – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. The mare will be excluded from the mobile barrier draw for 4 starts.
CHERRY ON THE CAKE (G Hall Jnr) – Checked and raced roughly for a short distance racing in the front straight in the final occasion.

LUHRSY (T Lynn) – Inconvenienced racing in the front straight on the final occasion.
General: Drivers G Hall Jnr (CHERRY ON THE CAKE) and A De Campo (MINOR CATASTROPHE) appeared before Stewards in relation to CHERRY ON THE CAKE being checked and racing roughly racing in the front straight on the final occasion. After considering the evidence tendered by the above mentioned drivers and viewing the lateral and head on vision, it was established MINOR CATASTROPHE, which was positioned to the inside of CHERRY ON THE CAKE, attempted to ease outwards when racing wheel to wheel with that runner shortly prior to MAJOR MANHATTAN (M Miller) improving to the outside of CHERRY ON THE CAKE. Shortly after, CHERRY ON THE CAKE and MINOR CATASTROPHE locked stays momentarily with MAJOR CATASTROPHE then improving in advance of CHERRY ON THE CAKE, shifting outwards resulting in CHERRY ON THE CAKE being checked and racing roughly for a short distance. Driver G Hall Jnr explained that he was not in a position to ease up the track when the initial pressure was applied when racing wheel to wheel with MAJOR MANHATTAN, however, shortly after when attempting to ease up the track, the mare was tiring and had a tendency to hang inwards under pressure and away from MAJOR MANHATTAN when that runner had improved quickly to his outside and therefore was not responding to his efforts. Stewards, after considering the evidence of Driver Hall Jnr and reviewing the patrol films on a number of occasions, took no further action other than to remind Driver A De Campo of his obligations, that in similar circumstances in future, when initiating a move outwards to ease another runner wider, he is to ensure he has a clear advantage and that the driver he is easing wider is in a position to shift up the track.
