Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted.
RACE 1 – J & A MAZZETTI PAINTING TROT FINAL (2150 MS)
OFF YOUR FACESKI – Surrendered the lead to PIESRIDINGSHOTGUN approaching the 1900 metre mark. Was held up for clear running entering the home straight before shifting down and utilising the sprint lane. Driver Ewa Justice was cautioned for shifting ground.
PIESRIDINGSHOTGUN – Began well and progressed forward from the start, before obtaining the lead approaching the 1900 metre mark. Had to be steadied approaching the 150 metre mark when OFF YOUR FACESKI shifted down into the sprint lane to obtain clear running.
BLACK AND GOLD – Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
MONTANA CHEVELLE – Raced three wide without cover from the 1200 metre mark before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 800 metre mark.
NIGHT SKY – After being caught wide in the early stages, was restrained to the rear of the field.
RACE 2 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS) SILVER PACE (2150 MS)
NUGGET ROGERS – Broke gait free of interference in the early stages of the score-up. A warning was placed against the gelding. Surrendered the lead to SOHO THE REAL DEAL approaching the 1800 metre mark. Commenced to tire leaving the 600 metre mark to be beaten 126.5 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Driver Michael Bellman reported that he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance, noting it was out of character, and was unable to offer a reason for the poor performance. The gelding was subsequently stood down from racing until the completion of one (1) satisfactory trial.
MAJOR CRUNCH – Had to be steadied approaching the 600 metre mark when NUGGET ROGERS commenced to give ground.
MIKI SING – Raced three wide without cover from the start, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1600 metre mark, before obtaining cover approaching the 1500 metre mark. Was held up for clear running entering the home straight before utilising the sprint lane.
PICK UP ELVIS – Raced three wide with cover from the start, before continuing three wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark, then progressed forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1500 metre mark.
RUFF NUT – Had to be steadied approaching the 600 metre mark when NUGGET ROGERS commenced to give ground. Shifted down the track to utilise the sprint lane approaching the 150 metre mark, which placed TO THE NINES in restricted racing room. Driver Aaron Dunn was cautioned for tightening.
TO THE NINES – Had to be steadied approaching the 600 metre mark when NUGGET ROGERS commenced to give ground. Then was placed in restricted racing room approaching the 150 metre mark when RUFF NUTT shifted down the track and, as a result, was not fully tested to the finish.
SOHO THE REAL DEAL – Began well and progressed forward from the start, before obtaining the lead approaching the 1800 metre mark.
RACE 3 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO FILLIES) SILVER PACE (2150 MS)
IDEAL MOTH – Was held up for clear running entering the home straight before utilising the sprint lane.
FLOJOS BEST – Raced three wide without cover from the start before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1500 metre mark, before obtaining cover approaching the 1300 metre mark. Broke gait free of interference when placed under pressure approaching the 100 metre mark. A last chance to race truly was against the filly.
HUXHAM CHUBB – Had to be steadied approaching the 100 metre mark when FLOJOS BEST broke gait free of interference.
SEA SALT – The off-side sulky wheel was contacted by CARRY ON CORNISH which was over-racing approaching the 1500 metre mark.
MYRTLE MAY – Was held up for clear running entering the home straight before utilising the sprint lane.
ALWAYS A SHOWGIRL – Raced fiercely in the early stages when obtaining cover. Then raced three wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1400 metre mark, and continued to over-race throughout.
CARRY ON CORNISH – Was out of position when the start was effected. Driver Craig Demmler was cautioned for failing to maintain his position in the score-up. Over-raced throughout the early stages, before contacting the offside sulky wheel of SEA SALT approaching the 1500 metre mark, and had to be steadied, before subsequently breaking gait.
BRINGSUSJOY – After being caught wide in the early stages, was restrained to the rear of the field. Was held up for clear running entering the home straight before utilising the sprint lane.
RACE 4 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (2YO COLTS & GELDINGS) SILVER PACE (2150)
CARDIGAN DAN – Trainer Emma Stewart was fined the sum of $50 under AHRR 238 for failing to declare the intended driving tactics for her stable runners engaged in the race.
USYK – Trainer Russell Jack was fined the sum of $50 under AHRR 238 for failing to declare the intended driving tactics for his stable runners engaged in the race. Was placed in restricted racing room approaching the 2000 metre mark and had to be steadied as MAJOR BLITZ shifted down the track. Raced three wide with cover from the 1600 metre mark, then three wide without cover from the 1500 metre mark, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1200 metre mark. Obtained cover approaching the 1100 metre mark.
MAJOR BLITZ – Shifted down the track approaching the 2000 metre mark and placed USKY in restricted racing room. Driver Allan McDonough was cautioned for tightening. Raced three wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1500 metre mark. Obtained cover approaching the 1200 metre mark.
RUGGARDS GEE TEE – Raced three wide without cover from the start, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1700 metre mark. Hung in and raced roughly when obtaining cover approaching the 1500 metre mark. A warning was placed against the gelding.
SRIRACHA – Commenced to tire leaving the 300 metre mark to be beaten 66.0 metres.
DEMBE – Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
SHORELINE DREAM – Over-raced in the early stages of the race.
SCOOTER LOU – Raced three wide with cover from the start before being restrained into a position in the running line approaching the 1800 metre mark. Commenced a forward move four wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark, then continued three wide without cover from the 1300 metre mark, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1100 metre mark.
RACE 5 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (2YO FILLIES) SILVER PACE (2150 MS)
BAY LA VILLE – Raced three wide without cover from the start, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1800 metre mark, before obtaining cover approaching the 1300 metre mark.
EYESEALITTLE – Hung in approaching the 1200 metre and contacted marker pegs. A warning was placed against the filly.
GINGER ELLA – Over-raced throughout the race.
HILLTOP STAR – Driver Ryan Sanderson was fined $100.00 AHHR 156 (3) A driver shall not use a whip or rein in an unapproved manner.
KAIKO JET – Raced three wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1300 metre mark.
RACE 6 – OXLEY FEED MILL VETERAN DRIVERS TROT (RATINGS EXEMPT) (2150 MS)
JESSICAS STORY – Over-raced in the early stages of the race.
THE CHOOK – Surrendered the lead to THIRD EYE approaching the 1800 metre mark.
SHAQ THE ANVIL – Broke gait when free off interference approaching the 500 metre mark. A warning was placed against the gelding.
THIRD EYE – Began well and progressed forward from the start, before obtaining the lead approaching the 1800 metre mark. Broke gait free of interference when placed under pressure approaching the 150 metre mark. A warning was placed against the mare.
BUSLIN BRODY – Raced three wide without cover from the start, before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1700 metre mark. Driver Ginger Gleeson was fined $200.00 AHHR (2)(a) A driver shall only apply the whip and/or the rein in a wrist only flicking motion whilst holding a rein in each hand with the tip of the whip pointed forward in an action which does not engage the shoulder.
COUNTESS CHIRON – Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
TE AMO – Raced three wide without cover from the 1500 metre mark, before progressing forward and breaking gait free of interference approaching the 1450 metre mark, before trailing the field thereafter.
RACE 7 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES 2YO BRONZE PACE (2150 MS)
SUMTHIN ELSE – Surrendered the lead to ROMEO approaching the 1500 metre mark, then over-raced once obtaining cover. Hung in leaving the 900 metre mark and contacted marker pegs. Commenced to tire leaving the 500 metre mark to be beaten 106.0 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had abnormal lung sounds. The filly was subsequently stood down from racing pending a clear veterinary certificate.
HELLAVA DEAL – Raced roughly and broke gait free of interference approaching the 600 metre mark. A last chance to race truly was placed against the filly.
AMADA VILLMA – Commenced to tire leaving the 500 metre mark to be beaten 104.8 metres. The filly was subsequently stood down from racing until the completion of one (1) satisfactory trial.
TOP THRILL – Hung in throughout the score-up, was out of position when the start was initiated, then raced roughly after the start. As a result, TOP THRILL will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start races. Commenced to tire leaving the 800 metre mark to be beaten 124.0 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. The filly was subsequently stood down from racing until the completion of one (1) satisfactory trial.
ROMEO – Raced three wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark before progressing forward to obtain the lead approaching the 1500 metre mark.
COVERED IN GOLD – Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
COOPER CHUBB – Commenced to tire leaving the 500 metre mark to be beaten 81.2 metres. A last chance to race competitively was placed against the colt.
RACE 8 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS) BRONZE PACE (2150 MS)
DENVER MAN – Over-raced throughout the race once obtaining cover in the early stages of the race.
ROLLINGINTHEDEEP – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 300 metre mark and inconvenienced several trailing runners. The gelding was subsequently stood down from racing until the completion of one (1) satisfactory trial.
ROCKNROLL ROCKET – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 2000 metre mark and raced roughly at various stages of the race. The gelding was subsequently stood down from racing until the completion of one (1) satisfactory trial.
TED BEAR – Had to be steadied approaching the 300 metre mark when ROLLINGINTHEDEEP broke gait free of interference.
MY MATE ACE – Had to be steadied and broke gait approaching the 300 metre mark when ROLLINGINTHEDEEP broke gait free of interference.
I AM ON THERUN – Was held up for clear running entering the home straight before utilising the sprint lane.
MAJOR BYE – Had to be steadied and raced roughly approaching the 300 metre mark when ROLLINGINTHEDEEP broke gait free of interference.
SPEEDY HEALEY – Was out of position when the start was initiated. As a result, SPEEDY HEALEY will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start races. Raced three wide without cover from the 1600 metre mark before progressing forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1300 metre mark.
RACE 9 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO FILLIES) BRONZE PACE (2150 MS)
KEAYANG LEXI – Raced roughly approaching the 1600 metre mark.
EVILEYE – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1900 metre mark. A last chance to race truly was placed against the filly. Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
SEASIDE LADY – Commenced to tire leaving the 400 metre mark to be beaten 69.6 metres. A warning was placed against the filly.
