STEWARDS REPORT FOR BENDIGO

Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted. 

RACE 1 – HUNTLY LIFESTYLE ESTATE BY LINCOLN PLACE MARES PACE (1650 MS)

MADAM REACTOR – Michelle Phillips accepted as a late driver notification.

CHOGI – Galloped during the early stages of the score before fulfilling its barrier position shortly before the start. Placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

ANGELSHAVTIME NZ – Driver Ewa Justice was cautioned for failing to maintain her barrier position prior to the start.

RACE 2 –DUAL CODE HALLOWEEN MEETING MARES PACE(2150 MS)

The start time of 6.30pm was incorrectly advertised in the racebook.

DIAMONDSNBLUE – Late scratching at 8.41am Vets Advice.

I SEE IRIS – Hung in under pressure after leading into the home straight.

FINAL BOW – Pre and post race veterinary examinations due to the mare racing on the previous evening at Shepparton. Cleared of any obvious abnormalities. Held up for a clear run rounding the home turn before obtaining a clear run between I See Iris which hung in and Kyloan Queen which shifted out under pressure on entering the home straight.

KYLOAN QUEEN – Pulled hard score up before showing gate speed. Pulled hard while racing outside the leader throughout. Shifted out under pressure on straightening into the home straight on the final occasion.

TOOBY GOLD – Nathan Jack accepted as a late driver notification.

 

RACE 3 – ALDEBARAN PARK TROT (1650 MS)

ALLWATFUNJINGLES - Nathan Jack accepted as a late driver notification.

THIRD EYE – Raced roughly while leading around the final turn before galloping under pressure clear of interference prior to entering the home straight.

NAKEDTRUTH – Pulled hard middle stages.

EVERYBODYLOVESME – Inconvenienced rounding the final turn as Third Eye galloped.

SISTA EVARISTA – Out of position at the start and will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile start races.

STAR DOWN UNDER – Driver Steven Lindberg was cautioned for commencing to shift out from his barrier position just prior to the start being effected.

RACE 4 – BENDIGO LOCKSMITHS 2YO MAIDEN TROT (2150 MS)

FARROKH – The start was delayed due to a sulky tyre requiring inflation.

FRITSCH – Galloped approaching the winning post on the first occasion and trailed the field throughout.

OLD DOMINION – Trainer Xavier O’Connor was cautioned for his late driver notification. Galloped clear of interference leaving the front straight on the first occasion. Given the geldings recent racing manners, Old Dominion was placed on its last chance to race truly.

TIARA GAIL - Nathan Jack accepted as a late driver notification. Raced roughly during the score up and galloped. Out of position at the start and will continue out of the mobile barrier draw. Trailed the field throughout.

NO MONEY NO HONEY – Held up for a clear run rounding the final turn.

MODERN HOPE – Paced during the early stages of the score up and then galloped. Out of position as the start was effected and will continue out of the mobile barrier draw. Trailed the field throughout. Driver Steve Cleave was fined $200 under Rule156(2)(a) after he applied the whip to his drive with more that a wrist only flicking motion rounding the final turn and early stages of the home straight.

RACE 5 – YANKEE ROCKSTAR @ LLOWALONG FARMS 2YO MAIDEN PACE (1650 MS)

CARRAMAR TITMUS – Stewards approved the removal of the offside rein burr prior to the start.

ZENARIO – Held up and unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.

RACE 6 – IMPACT-A FASTENERS & CONSTRUCTION SUPPLIES 2YO MAIDEN PACE (1650 MS)

COURTNEY CHARLI – Fractious before the start and required assistance from the Clerk of the Course. A warning was issued against the fillies barrier manners.

DESTINY KEPT - James Herbertson accepted as a late driver notification.

RAY DAN – Held up and unable to obtain a clear run until the final stages.

RACE 7 – BENDIGO SKI BOAT CENTRE PACE (1650 MS)

ROCK PHONE – Gave ground from approximately the 400m after leading. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Connections reported that the gelding may not have backed up from its most recent race after working hard during the early stages to lead.

RACE 8 – SIMONDS HOMES BENDIGO 3YO PACE (2160 MS)

DANGER PLAY – Driver Laura Wilson was cautioned for failing to maintain her barrier position prior to the start.

RACE 9 – WORLDS BEST HOOF OIL MARES TROT (2150 MS)

ABBIE – The start was delayed due to a gear adjustment.

THE VICARS GIRL – Hung in under pressure in the home straight over the concluding stages and a warning was issued.

JESSICAS STORY – Liam Older accepted as a late driver notification.

ONETWOSKIPPERFEW – Hung in during the early and middle stages. Hung in under pressure rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs. A warning was issued against the mares racing manners.

RACE 10 – SPRING H2O 3YO & OLDER FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN PACE (2150 MS)

THE AFRICAN QUEEN – Raced roughly shortly after the start and was placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

MYLA GIRL - Tired to be beaten 54m and a warning was issued for a poor performance.

VILLAGE SUSPECT – Inconvenienced and held up for a clear run rounding the final turn as Salsawithsierra gave ground.

SALSAWITHSIERRA – Pulled hard throughout while leading and gave ground over the latter stages.
