Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

RACE 1 – VHRC / BLACK HORSE NATURALS PACE PACE (1650 MS)

MAJOR MAURIE – Hung in under pressure and contacted a marker peg prior to entering the sprint lane over the concluding stages.

SALSBOY – Pre and post race veterinary examinations due to the geldings age. No apparent abnormalities were detected.

POLLY PEACHUM – Held up for a clear run rounding the final turn and early stages of the home straight.

RACE 2 –APG - A HORSE FOR EVERYONE VICBRED SUPER SERIES (4YO MARES) (1ST HEAT) (2150 MS)

FEARLESS WRITER – Inconvenienced as the pace eased entering the back straight on the first occasion.

OUR ROKU – Trainer Charlene Gusman was fined $100 under AHRR 273 (3)(c) for presenting the mare to race without a throat lash fitted to the bridle. Gave ground over the concluding stages.

HEAVENS GIFT - Inconvenienced as the pace eased entering the back straight on the first occasion.

FOXY TWO GLOVES – Reared and contacted the outside fence prior to the score up. A pre race veterinary examination cleared the mare of any injury and was passed to race. The start was delayed 5 minutes as a result. Inconvenienced as the pace eased entering the back straight on the first occasion.

LOOK LIKE DIAMONDS – Driver David Miles was cautioned for the manner he shifted ground at the 1800m which inconvenienced trailing runners when he shifted out momentarily then returned to the peg line behind the leader The Answer.

MARLO MAREAU – Galloped as the start was effected and was placed out of the draw for future mobile start races.

RACE 3 – APG - A HORSE FOR EVERYONE VICBRED SUPER SERIES (4YO ENTIRES & GELDINGS) (1ST HEAT) (2150 MS)

STORMRYDER – Driver Ryan Sanderson was cautioned for half carting in the back straight on the final occasion inconveniencing Ata Rangi which was attempting to improve three wide. Inconvenienced over the concluding stages when trailing Maxnjax which raced roughly just prior to the finish.

MAXNJAX – Inconvenienced as Do It shifted out in an attempt to obtain a clear run. Noted that the back hopple carrying strap broke when inconvenienced.

ATA RANGI – Pulled hard middle stages. Inconvenienced when attempting to improve three wide as Stormryder occupied a half cart position in the back straight on the final occasion.

HANDLER – Raced roughly and gave ground at approximately the 400m.

THESTATESMAN – Pulled hard during the score up.

RACE 4 – APG - A HORSE FOR EVERYONE VICBRED SUPER SERIES (4YO ENTIRES & GELDINGS) (2ND HEAT) (2150 MS)

ALOT LIKE LOUIE – Trainer Laura Wilson was cautioned for presenting the gelding late in the parade ring. Inconvenienced at the 1500m as Miki To Success galloped.

OUR ROCKER - Trainer Emma Stewart was cautioned for presenting the gelding late in the parade ring. Inconvenienced at the 1500m as Miki To Success galloped.

MIKI TO SUCCESS – Galloped while leading at the 1500m.Placed on its last chance to race truly.

CEE CEE LOU – Hung in during the score up and a warning was issued against the geldings barrier manners. Pulled hard middle stages. Driver Kerryn Manning was cautioned for allowing her sulky wheel to contact the final marker peg when entering the sprint lane on the final occasion.

BLUE MIKI – Checked and galloped at approximately the 1600m due to interference suffer by runners as Miki To Success galloped.

DEE ROE – Pre and post race veterinary examinations after returning to racing after a veterinary stand down. Cleared of any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 5 – APG - A HORSE FOR EVERYONE VICBRED SUPER SERIES (4YO MARES) (2ND HEAT) (2150 MS)

LE BETTY – Pulled hard early and middle stages. Tired to be beaten 51m and a warning was issued.

SWEET IDEAL –Pulled hard and hung out during the early and middle stages.

RACE 6 – VHRC / DEL RE FOODS NATIONAL TROT (1650 MS)

AT THE DISTANCE – Galloped at the 400m.

THIRD EYE – Hung in and contacted a marker peg rounding the final turn.

CONSTANT – Galloped clear of interference at approximately the 1100m.

ANTONOV – Checked and raced roughly when trailing At The Distance which galloped at the 400m.

FAITH FULL – Galloped under pressure at the 300m.

ROMANTIC NINA – Galloped under pressure within the final 150m.

COUNTESS CHIRON – Pre and post rae veterinary examinations due to the mare racing on more than 200 previous occasions. No apparent abnormalities detected. Galloped as the start was effected and will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile start races.

RACE 7 – VHRC / BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS MAIDEN PACE (1650 MS)

MAC JAMES – Checked, contacted the sulky of Cool Story and raced roughly at the 250m.

COOL STORY – Shifted outwards approaching the entrance to the home straight, continued to hang out when directed in and away from Mac James, making contact with the off hind leg of Mac James resulting in that runner galloping. Considering the geldings recent racing manners, Cool Story was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

RACE 8 – VHRC / GBL PROPERTIES VICBRED VOUCHER 3YO MAIDEN TROT (2150 MS)

GOLDEN SKIES – Pre race warm up approved. Raced roughly and galloped shortly after the start and was placed out of the draw for future mobile start races.

CAVE GIRL – Hung in under pressure rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs.

SEBASTIANS WAITING – Pre race warm up approved.

ALDEBARAN DENBAY – Pulled hard during the score up and galloped. Out of position as the start was effected and was placed out of the draw for future mobile start races. Pulled hard throughout then tired to be beat 140m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

SHINELIKETHESUN – Galloped at the 700m and again at the 200m and was placed on its last chance to race truly. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly had suffered a laceration to the near fore pastern. Stood down 7 days on veterinary advice.

LITTLE MISS VALLEY – Tasmyn Potter accepted as a late driver change. Listed driver Brent Thomson unable to attend, stood down pending a medical clearance.
