STEWARDS REPORT FOR BENDIGO

Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted.
RACE 1 – POSTER BOY @ LLOWALONG FARM PACE (1650 MS)
MY ULTIMATE SKEETA – pulled hard through middle stages. Held up rounding home turn final occasion and hung in, placing driver Chris Alford in some difficulty, contacted marker pegs as a result. Warning issued for collective behaviours.
COURAGEOUS SAINT - pre and post-race veterinary examinations in accordance with the HRV Animal Welfare policy having attained 200 or more lifetime starts. No obvious abnormalities detected either examination.
RACE 2 – VOLSTEAD @ LLOWALONG FARM MARES TROT (1650 MS)
THE NIGHT QUEEN – trainer David Murphy was fined the sum of $50 under 210 for the late driver change; Rebecca Bartley replaced Jackie Barker (unavailable). Mr Murphy was cautioned for not advising dual-runner tactics by the prescribed time.
STAROFTHWIND – tired to be beaten 67.5m into tenth and last placing; no action taken given the margins between the placings and the overall mile rate.
RACE 3 – HEIDI GEORGE MARES CLASSIC FINAL (1650 MS)
TOOBY GOLD – inconvenienced and tightened at approx. 1000m when IVANA BYTHESEASIDE (Neville Pangrazio) shifted inwards. Held up and no clear run rounding home turn final occasion and early part of the home straight before obtaining clear running at approx. 100m.
IVANA BYTHESEASIDE – driver Neville Pangrazio cautioned for directing the mare inward at approx. 1000m when not clear of TOOBY GOLD, resulting in that runner being tightened for racing room.
RACE 4 – KING OF THE NORTH @ LLOWALONG FARM FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN PACE (2150 MS)
BETATHANABOUGHTONE – raced fiercely through the early stages when being restrained into a position. Hung in in the back straight and heading into the final turn; warning issued for collective behaviours.
IM THE WILD ONE – inconvenienced when SOHO MARGARITA (Michael Stanley) eased the pace in the running line in the back straight on the first occasion; contacting the sulky of LOAN SAILOR (Jackie Barker) and racing roughly as a result.
REASON TO SCREAM – held up and no clear run rounding home turn final occasion.
LOAN SAILOR – sulky contacted by IM THE WILD ONE (David Murphy) in the back straight on the first occasion when SOHO MARGARITA (Michael Stanley) eased the pace in the running line. Raced fiercely on the peg line thereafter.
THE AFRICAN QUEEN – out of position when start effected; warning issued.
TREACHEROUS JEWEL – held up behind BETATHANABOUGHTONE rounding home turn final occasion; utilized sprint lane thereafter.
FORESIGHT – out of position when start effected; continued exclusion from future mobile barrier draws.
RACE 5 – SOHO TRIBECCA @ LLOWALONG FARM 2YO PACE (2150 MS)
HUXHAM CHUBB – pulled hard in running.
ALWAYS A SHOWGIRL – no clear running over the concluding stages.
MAGNETIC STORM – held up and unable to obtain clear running from approx. 250m until 75m.
IN AN IDEAL WORLD – pulled hard when positioned outside the leader.
RACE 6 – PASTOR STEPHEN @ LLOWALONG FARM 3YO MAIDEN TROT (2150 MS)
LOCHINVAR SON – pulled hard in running.
ZIPTIE - tired to be beaten 60.7m into sixth placing; warning issued. Post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
MAJESTIC PARTY BOY – galloped after start; exclusion from future mobile barrier draws. Trailed the field thereafter.
ILDEFENSO – hung out marginally after the start, inconveniencing HILLWINSOME (Ewa Justice) who was drawn to the outside of that runner.
HILLWINSOME – inconvenienced after the start by ILDEFENSO (Chris Lang Jnr) when that runner shifted out marginally, contacting the sulky wheel of ALDEBARAN SUSANNE who was drawn to the outside of HILLWINSOME and progressing forward at the time.
SAYDIE – fractious early part of score-up and out of a position as a consequence; continued exclusion from future mobile barrier draws.
RACE 7 – RAGING BULL @ LLOWALONG FARM 2YO 0-1 LTW PACE (2150 MS)
DESTINY KEPT – pulled hard score-up and then raced fiercely entering in the home straight with one lap to run.
RACE 8 – HELPISONTHEWAY @ LLOWALONG FARM 2YO 0-1 LTW TROT (1650 MS)
The start time of this event was amended to 9.27pm at the request of Sky Channel.
BOOT LEGGING – galloped in the score-up; continued exclusion from future mobile barrier draws.
MODERN HOPE – well out of position when start effected; continued exclusion from future mo bile barrier draws.
