Mr Pitt explained that when settling in a rearward position racing to the winning post with a lap remaining he was reluctant to improve three wide given his assessment of Allshookup, which in his opinion is more suited when driven for one run. Mr Pitt explained that when running to improve to the three wide Monsieur Delacour and Captain Confetti NZ he was placed in a pocket and was taken back to the rear of the field and was then able to shift wider on the entry to the home straight at which point Allshookup let down well.
