Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

RACE 1 – PETERSEN WESTBROOK CAMERON LAWYERS BENDIGO PACE (1650 MS)

MY BEAUTIFUL LIFE – Tired from approximately the 600m after showing gate speed to lead. Beaten 58.7m, given the winning margin of 26m to the winner Enola and mile rate recorded, no action taken.

BJ ROBERTSON NZ – Raced roughly shortly after the start was effected and will be given one last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Raced roughly rounding the final turn when no clear run was available. Improved in the sprint lane over the concluding stages.

SUZIE CRACKER – Raced roughly shortly after the start and was restrained when caught three wide rounding the first turn. Placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Raced erratically and shifted out leaving the back straight on the final occasion and a warning was issued against the fillies racing manners. Tired over the latter stages to be beaten 54m. No action taken due to the winning margin and mile rate recorded.

BETTING ATTACK – Out of position as the start was effected. Raced roughly and was erratic, shifting out significantly shortly after the start. Placed out of the draw for future mobile start races. Trailed the field thereafter and tired to be beaten 124.7m. Given the overall performance, the gelding was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

MAJOR BYE – Failed to come up into its barrier position during the score up and at the start. Placed out of the draw for future mobile start races.

RED SHORES -  Checked and taken back by My Beautiful Life as that filly tired in the back straight on the final occasion.

RACE 2 –HYGAIN BREEDERS CROWN (3YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS) (1ST HEAT) 2150 MS)

THE DARK THUNDER – Galloped under pressure at approximately the 150m. Given the geldings recent racing record, was placed on its last chance to race truly.

I AM HELLBOUND – Pre race warm up approved.

MYSTERY FRED – Pulled hard middle stages.

TENASEA WHISKEY – Pre race warm up approved. Galloped clear of interference leaving the front straight on the first occasion. Galloped again at the 450m and in the home straight on the final occasion. Given the geldings racing manners, was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

 

RACE 3 – HYGAIN BREEDERS CROWN (3YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS) (2ND HEAT) (2150 MS)

LILLYS TIGER – Raced roughly shortly after the start was effected and will be given one last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Continued to race roughly approaching the turn out of the front straight on the first occasion, paced momentarily and galloped.

CHARLESTON AVENUE – Pre race warm up approved.

ZARSKI – Galloped during the early stages of the score up

 

RACE 4 – BETAVET BREEDERS CROWN (2YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS) (1ST HEAT) (2150 MS)

HOWDY MATE – Galloped under pressure at approximately the 100m. After finishing in 4th place with a one metre margin to 5th placed Jays All That, Stewards reviewed the replays before all clear. Upon review, stewards were satisfied that Howdy Mate had returned to a trotting gait prior to the finish line. All clear was then given on the official judge’s numbers. Placed on its last chance to race truly given its recent racing record.

BROTHER MOUNTAIN – Fractious prior to the score up and required assistance from the Clerk of the Course and will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile start races.

RACE 5 – BETAVET BREEDERS CROWN (2YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS) (2ND HEAT) (2150 MS)

IM HAVINTOTROT – Pre race warm up approved.

STEPBYSTEP – Pre race warm up approved. Slow to begin.

REVERAND BOB – Commenced to race roughly approaching the 600m. Continued to race roughly before galloping under pressure at the 200m.

NOTANOTHA NAUGHTY – Shifted in and contacted the final two marker pegs prior to the home straight as driver Michael Bellman released the earplugs from the gelding. Driver Michael Bellman was issued with a caution for contacting marker pegs.

COOPER KAI – Galloped clear of interference at the 700m. Given the geldings recent racing record, Cooper Kai was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

RACE 6 – HYLAND BREEDERS CROWN (3YO TROTTING FILLIES) (1ST HEAT) (2150 MS)

KEAYANG KURKI – Pre race warm up approved.

MYHEARTBEATSTRUE – Hung in and contacted marker pegs approaching the 1200m. Held up for a clear run until approximately the 150m.

RACE 7 – HYLAND BREEDERS CROWN (3YO TROTTING FILLIES) (2ND HEAT) (2150 MS)

SKY FLAIR – Fractious during the score up shifted out and inconvenienced Bar Tab during the commencement of the score up. A warning was issued against the fillies barrier manners.

BAR TAB – Inconvenienced during the commencement of the score up. Galloped as the start was effected and was placed out of the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 8 – MIMOSA HOMES BREEDERS CROWN (2YO TROTTING FILLIES) (1ST HEAT) (2150 MS)

JILLIBY AURA – Pre race warm up approved.

KLYMENE – Trainer partnership P Lane and A Burke were cautioned for failing to notify the intended tactics having multiple runners engaged. Galloped during the score up and was out of position as the start was effected. Placed out of the draw for future mobile start races. Trailed the field throughout.

CHANTILLY LASS – Galloped during the score up and was out of position as the start was effected and was placed out of the draw for future mobile start races. Driver Jack Sullivan pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference. The particulars of the charge being that approaching the 1500m, Mr Sullivan allowed Chantilly Lass to shift in when insufficiently clear of Mevia (Peter Lane) resulting in contact to the front legs of the filly and Mevia was checked and galloped as a result. Mr Sullivans license to drive in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 03 Dec 2025. In assessing penalty, stewards took into consideration the HRV penalty guidelines, interference suffered, which was considered mid range, Mr Sullivans good driving record, driving frequency and guilty plea. Hung in under pressure rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs as the filly gave ground. Tired to be beaten 69m and a warning was issued against the performance.

MEVIA – Checked contacted the sulky of Chantilly Lass and galloped as a result at approximately the 1500m.

RACE 9 – MIMOSA HOMES BREEDERS CROWN (2YO TROTTING FILLIES) (2ND HEAT) (2150 MS)

ALDEBARAN ADA -  Pre race warm up approved.
