RACE 1 – CONGRATULATIONS TAB FOR CONQUERING THE EVEREST PACE – 1730 metres
SCARLETT MAY NZ– Pre-race blood. Broke stride in the score up, as a result caused a false start. Considering the mare’s recent record, it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts. Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race swab.
LETTYS REASON– Pre-race blood. Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
YANKEE IDEAL– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
JOETOMO– Broke stride in the score up on the first occasion. Considering the gelding’s recent record, it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
RACE 2 – COBBITTY EQUINE KING OF SWING STALLION TENDER WITH BHRC PACE – 2260 metres
KINGSTON SHANNON– Held up for clear racing room until the final 200 metres.
POPS LEGACY– Held up for clear racing room until shifting down to the sprint lane in the home straight on the final occasion where it became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
ROMERO– Obtained a run to the inside of ROSEBERG NZ who shifted out at the 500 metres.
DENNY ROCKS– Inconvenienced at the 1100 metres when MAGIC MATTEO broke stride.
ROSEBERG NZ– Pre-race blood. Entering the back straight on the final occasion had a tendency to hang out until allowing ROMERO to obtain a run to the inside at the 500 metres. A warning was issued. Trainer/driver S Grima stated that the gelding was a new addition to his stable and will look to change gear to correct its tractability.
MAJOR ENVY NZ– Inconvenienced at the 1100 metres when MAGIC MATTEO broke stride.
MAGIC MATTEO– Had a tendency to over race until breaking stride at the 1100 metres. A warning was issued.
CAMANCHI WARRIOR– Trainer N Turnbull was queried on the perceived improved performance of the horse. He stated that since resuming from a spell the horse has gradually improved fitness and race performance accumulating in a good run at Bathurst on the 14 October 2024. He further stated the horse was down in grade significantly and with the race being run to suit performed as expected. Post-race swab.
RACE 3 – MEDOWIE LODGE FOLLOW THE STARS STALLION TENDER WITH BHRC PACE – 1730 metres
HAPPY REG– Trainer/driver A Frisby was queried on the overall performance of the gelding after leading the event tired over the concluding stages to finish in ninth position beaten 20.3 metres. He could offer no reasonable explanation for the poor form and would monitor the gelding over the coming days and would advise Stewards if anything came to light. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
GISSELLE– Pre-race blood. Leaving the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. The filly will be stood down for one requalifying trial. Trainer/driver A Grives stated the filly felt uncomfortable in its gear throughout the event and would look to have the stable veterinarian examine the filly in the coming days and would advise Stewards of anything significant come of this examination.
LEXUS LOU– Checked and broke when leaving the 1400 metres when racing to the inside of GISSELLE.
WARRAWEE CRUZIN– Checked at the 1300 metres when shifting to the inside of LEXUS LOU.
SPECIAL SPIN– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
REBOUNDER– Driver J O’Shea was fined the sum of $400 under rule 156(2)(a) in that when applying his whip in the early stages of the home straight has done so with more than a wrist flicking action. Post-race swab.
RACE 4 – TUESDAY NIGHT POKER AT THE BATHURST RSL PACE – 1730 metres
HUNTER SHANNON– Pre-race blood.
EAGLE WATCH NZ– Driver C Hart was queried on the overall performance of the gelding when failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in sixth position beaten 19.9 metres. He stated trainer S Grima was of the thought that the gelding had not backed up from a hard run at Newcastle on 18 October2024 and with the fast tempo of the race being detrimental to the gelding’s overall performance.
PAS DE CHEVAL– Tired from the 700 metres to finish in tenth and last position beaten 104.2 metres. Driver I Ross stated the mare to be disappointing in a recent start at Bathurst on 18 October 2024 and although working well leading up into the event was disappointed in the overall performance of the mare. Trainer S Turnbull stated that the mare has had a number of hard runs in recent weeks and believes it may have taken a toll and would look to freshen the mare up in the coming weeks. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Given PAS DE CHEVAL overall mile rate she will be placed on her last chance to race truly.

RACE 5 – BOURKES HORSE RUGS PACE – 1730 metres
KEILOR BABY SHARK– Post-race swab.
VOLANDO DENARIO NZ– Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up causing a false start. The mare will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
TULHURST TIMMY– Driver A Hedges was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 350 metres has shifted her runner wide when insufficiently clear of TUKURUA and as a result that runner was inconvenienced.
ROAD TO RECOVERY– Pre-race blood. Driver J Turnbull was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier until the start.
TUKURUA– Leaving the 350 metres was inconvenienced when TULHURST TIMMY shifted wider when insufficiently clear.
RACE 6 – QUALITY CARS AT BATHURST TOYOTA PACE – 1730 metres
JOSEY MINT– Hung out throughout the score up, as a result a warning was issued.
ROYAL FOCUS– Pre-race blood.
TINNY MAHONEY– Utilised the sprint lane when it became available in the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race swab.
VALENTINI– Driver A Grives was issued a reprimand under rule 162(1)(h) in that although being slightly inconvenienced in the score up, she made sufficient effort to have her runner in position at the start.
RACE 7 – CHECKOUT LLOWALONG FARMS STALLIONS PACE – 1730 metres
EN PARIANT SUR– Held up for clear racing room until utilising the sprint lane in the home straight on the final occasion.
TULHURST JANET– Pre-race blood. Leaving the 400 metres sustained a contact to the inside sulky wheel resulting in a flat tyre when A LIL BIT OF LOVE had hung out.
SPAG BOLL– Inconvenienced at the 350 metres when trailing A LIL BIT OF LOVE who had hung out.
BELLAGANOOSH – Approaching the 1350 metres was checked and broke when the pace in the running line had eased.
OLLIE ONE SHOT– Approaching the 1350 metres when over racing has improved onto the back of STAY FOOLISH and as a result was inconvenienced.
LAYLA SHANNON– Leaving the 1350 metres was inconvenienced when trailing OLLIE ONE SHOT, as a result raced roughly for a short distance.
A LIL BIT OF LOVE– Broke stride in the early and middle stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Leaving the 1350 metres despite the efforts of its driver had a tendency to hang out contacting the sulky wheel of TULHURST JANET. A warning was issued. Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
STAY FOOLISH– Post-race swab.
RACE 8 – BREED YOUR MARE AT SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1730 metres
RACING RAY– Broke stride during the score up causing a false start. As it was the gelding’s second race start it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. RACING RAY will also be stood down for one requalifying trial.
OUR LAST GRIN– Approaching the 1300 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. The mare will be stood down for one requalifying trial. As a result of the ground lost while galloping tailed the field for the remainder of the event.
JUNGLE BEAUTY– Pre-race blood. Leaving the 300 metres when attempting to shift from the back of CAPTAIN JACK had a tendency to hang in and as a result has contacted the outside sulky wheel and raced rough for a short distance. As no one horse or driver could totally be blamed for this incident no further action was taken. Post-race swab.
CAPTAIN JACK– Leaving the 300 metres had a tendency to hang out slightly when gear was activated, as a result JUNGLE BEAUTY also hung in and contacted the outside sulky wheel. As no one horse or diver could totally be blamed for this incident no further action was taken.
LAUREN LINO– Tired over the concluding stages to finish in eighth position beaten 84.1 metres. The mare will be given its last chance to race truly.
