RACE 1 – STU VALENTINE 4 BLOODSTOCK INS PACE – 2260 metres

CHAP DADDY – Trainer B Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for late driver declaration of D Hewitt on the gelding. Pre race blood sample. Post race swab sample.

PALE FACE JO– Over raced throughout the event.

MISTA MOOSE – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

RACE 2 – RAGING BULL @ LLOWALONG FARMS LADYSHIP PACE – 1703 metres

BELLA BLING – Pre race blood sample. Post race swab sample.

RACE 3 – BALLINGER TRANSPORT PACE – 1730 metres

TREACHEROUS KISS – Post race swab sample.

BOMANI– Pre race blood sample.

RACE 4 – CENTRAL WEST PLUMBING & GASFITTING PACE – 2260 metres

SHES KOALA TEE– Hung in during the score up and again shortly after the start.

TURBO TOMMY– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

INFINITY BEACH- Trainer B Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for late driver declaration of J Buckman on the mare.

TOM THE CURIOUS – Trainer B Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for late driver declaration of J Hewitt on the gelding.Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

RACE 5 – LION NATHAN PACE – 1730 metres

JOETOMO– Driver M Crook was advised that she must modify her whip action to ensure she complies with the rules.

DARK TERROR– Pre race blood sample.

LOUIE THE PUNTER NZ- Post race swab sample.

ALTA DOWNS- Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

RACE 6 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1730 metres

HOLY CAMP DILLON- Pre race blood sample. Driver A Frisby was advised to exercise more care in that shortly after passing the winning post he failed to make sufficient effort from preventing his gelding shifting down the track and as result tightened the racing room of SCHOUTEN ISLAND and VOODOO LOU which were both checked.

VOODOO LOU- Trainer B Hewitt was fined $50 under rule 210 for late driver declaration of J Hewitt on the mare.

MIGHTY FLYING DEAL NZ – Post race swab sample.

ROCK FISHERMAN– Will now be re - included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 7 – CLUB MEMBERSHIPS DUE PACE – 2260 metres

UNREAL FEELING– Stewards questioned driver P Betts with regards to the performance of the gelding. Driver P Betts stated that the gelding failed to travel comfortably at any stage of the event and following the event in her opinion was sore behind. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind foot. Trainer N Hurst advised that the gelding will be now sent for a spell. In view of this advice, the gelding will be stood down for a period of 28 days. Furthermore in view of the performance a warning was issued.

STUDLEIGH SONNY– Pre race blood sample. Stewards questioned driver J Davis in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened over the final 500 metres to be beaten in excess of 40 metres. J Davis stated that the gelding normally travels well when racing outside the lead however in tonight’s event failed to travel comfortably at any stage. J Davis further added that the gelding may not have been suited racing over the longer distance on the bigger Bathurst track compared to recent starts racing over longer distances on smaller tracks. In view of the performance a warning was issued.

PRINCE PARKER– Stewards questioned M Turnbull in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened to be beaten in excess of 40 metres. M Turnbull stated that it was his intention to find a position along the marker pegs in the early stages of the event however when he was unable to find that position he was obliged to race with cover in the running line which in his opinion the gelding isn’t suited. M Turnbull further added that as a result of racing in the running line he was obliged to shift wider on the track to avoid tiring horses leaving the 500 metres however his gelding failed to finish the race off. A warning was issued.

FEELING HALL GOOD- Post race swab sample.

RACE 8 – TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN PACE – 1730 metres

ZACHARY SHANNON – Pre-race blood sample. Post race swab sample.

HALL CASH– Stewards questioned driver M Rue in regards to the driving tactics adopted on the filly in particular rounding the home turn in the early stages of the home straight. M Rue stated that the filly had a tendency to hang out throughout the event in particular on every corner and as a result proved difficult to drive. M Rue stated that approaching the home turn on the final occasion the filly was wanting to hang out and therefore he allowed the filly to shift out to keep its momentum going forward however in doing that he was unable to shift wider as POSH FELLA NZ shifted down the track resulting in them being placed awkwardly between ZACHARY SHANNON and POSH FELLA NZ. M Rue further added that he then attempted to shift the filly down the track in an endeavour to find the sprint lane however the filly was reluctant to shift down the track and as a result raced roughly and he was unable to shift the filly further down the track. Driver M Rue further added that the number two carrying strap broke during the running of race which was also detrimental to the filly’s racing manners. In view of the filly’s racing manners it was placed on its last chance to race truly.

STUDLEIGH STARLITE– Near the 1500 metres when improving to a position in the running line improved on to the back of TULHURST ROCKNROLL and as result contacted the sulky of that runner and was inconvenienced. Driver J Davis was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

TORQUE NO FEAR– Checked near the 1500 metres when STUDLEIGH STARLITE contacted the sulky of another runner.

POSH FELLA NZ– Had a tendency to shift in under pressure over the final 100 metres. Driver M Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion in the early and middle stages of the home straight. Driver M Turnbull as fined $200.
