RACE 1 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE WESTERN REGION 2YO FILLLIES FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1730 metres
WINDY HILL LUCY– Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.
WINDY HILL WHISKEY– Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.
AVA LEANNE– Pre-race blood sample.
AUNTIE LOU– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
JEWEL ANGEL– Out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the the filly, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1300 metres. Raced roughly passing the 400 metres.
SHES A WARRAWEE– Driver Jackson Painting was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to have the filly in position at the start. Improved three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres. Stewards questioned driver Jackson Painting with regards to the performance of the filly which weakened over the concluding stages to finish in seventh placing beaten 8 metres. Mr Painting advised Stewards that the filly was somewhat disappointing this evening however this was the first time the filly had travelled away from home and had now been up for a long time. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Painting, Stewards determined to note his comments.
RACE 2 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE WESTERN REGION 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1730 metres
MISTERFOURTHOUSAND– Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
THALASSOPHOBIA– Pre-race blood sample.
DUN SPRUKIN– Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
DORRISTOPAYTHEBILL– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event and over raced when working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.
DOUGS FLAME– Improved three wide from the 1300 metres until working forward to the lead passing the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sample.
DASHING– Pre-race blood sample. Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.
RACE 3 – TAB INTER DOMINION PACING CHAMPIONSHIP – (SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND HEAT 4) – 1730 metres
BLACKSADANCE– Hung out under pressure.
DON LOU– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.
STAR MAJOR– Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide from the 900 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
JILLIBY NITRO– Improved three wide with cover from the 900 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
NERANO NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 4 – TAB INTER DOMINION PACING CHAMPIONSHIP – (SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND HEAT 5) – 1730 metres

EXOTIC BUSHRANGER– Driver Michael Stanley advised Stewards that his near side sulky tyre deflated passing the 1000 metres.
MAX DELIGHT– Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres.
NYACK– Improved three wide from the 800 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
MACH DAN– Pre-race blood sample.
DONEGAL LUTHER NZ– Improved three wide from the 800 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
CANTFINDABETTORMAN NZ– Improved three wide from the 900 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 600 metres. Stewards questioned driver Chris Alford with regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened over the concluding stages to finish in seventh placing beaten 13 metres. Mr Alford advised Stewards the gelding was travelling well and when he felt the tempo of the event had slackened sufficiently through the middle stages which allowed him to improve three wide to the position outside the leader, however upon straightening he felt the gelding failed to let down over the concluding stages. Mr Alchin expressed to Stewards that the gelding may not have backed up from its most recent run at Newcastle and he may look to drive the gelding with a sit during the last round of heats at Menangle. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Alford, Stewards determined to note his comments.
KANENA PROVLIMA– Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
RACE 5 – TAB INTER DOMINION PACING CHAMPIONSHIP – (SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND HEAT 6) – 1730 metres
PERFECT STRIDE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Held up over the latter stages of the home straight. Driver Ryan Sanderson advised Stewards that he lost his whip upon entry to the first turn. Driver Ryan Sanderson pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the rein to the gelding in the early stages of home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Sanderson, he was fined $200.

MY MOONLITE DREAM NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Driver Seaton Grima pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the mare in the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Grima, he was fined $200.
MASTER CATCH– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1300 metres.
MAGICIAN– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event until working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1050 metres. Driver James Rattray pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the early stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Rattray, he was fined $200.
MINSTREL NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Driver Deni Roberts reported to Stewards that the near side hopple shortener pin released prior to the start of the event and when she attempted to release the off side pin passing the 1300 metres the gelding became unbalanced and broke stride. After considering the explanation provided by Miss Roberts, Stewards determined to take no further action. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

WHEREYABINBOPPIN– Held up in the home straight and not fully tested. Driver Taylah Osmond reported to Stewards that the gelding broke a hopple connecting strap during the running of the event.
RACE 6 – TAB INTER DOMINION TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP – (SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND HEAT 3) – 1730 metres
LONDON TO A BRICK– Pre-race blood sample. Galloped out, inconveniencing CONSTANTINOPLE. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
KEYANG CHUCKY– Pre-race blood sample. Hung in and broke upon entry to the first turn. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
QUEEN ELIDA NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
SPEEDY LOVER– Broke stride free of any interference passing the 300 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
PLYMOUT CHUBB– Pre-race blood sample.
CONSTANTINOPLE– Inconvenienced after the start when LONDON TO A BRICK galloped out.
