RACE 1 –LADBROKES PACE -2180 METRES
STAR ROCKER underwent a post-race veterinary examination after tiring to be beaten in excess of 75 metres. No abnormalities were detected and the gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
DON HESTON underwent a post-race veterinary examination after tiring to be beaten in excess of 193 metres. No abnormalities were detected and the gelding has been stood down for a period of 14 days and until the completion of two satisfactory trials.
RACE 2 – CAPE VIEW NURSERY PACE – 2180 - METRES
All clear on this event was held to allow driver B Davis (BOLD CENTURIAN) to view the official replays of the field racing around the final turn. After viewing the films in the company of senior driver G Rattray, Mr Davis declined the opportunity to protest and all clear was given on the Judges numbers.
It was established that racing off the back straight the final time that BOLD CENTURIAN was inclined to hang in and when corrected by Mr Davis had moved wider on the track and allowed LALIBELA NZ which was racing behind the leader to shift off the rail and progress to a run inside BOLD CENTURIAN.
BETTOR BLAST NZ broke shortly after the start and took no competitive part in the event. The filly will continue to be out of the mobile draw.
After being caught wide early BOLD CENTURIAN worked around the field three wide to race outside the leader.
The sulky seat on THE GARDENER became loose and moved back during the event placing driver G Rattray at a disadvantage resulting in Mr Rattrays foot slipping from the footrests in the back straight the final time.
THE GARDENER was checked and broke when BOLD CENTURIAN moved wider on the home turn.
MODERN MCDEE underwent a post-race veterinary examination after tiring to be beaten in excess of 82 metres. No abnormalities were detected and the gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
GOING GREAT GUNS underwent a post-race veterinary examination after tiring to be beaten in excess of 54 metres. No abnormalities were detected and the gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
The undercarriage on the sulky of WHISKEY AND RYE broke during the event resulting in the gelding being unable to be fully tested and being beaten in excess of 109 metres.
After beginning satisfactorily THE GARDENER has been reinstated in the mobile draw.
RACE 3 – SIMONS CARPET ONE STAKES – 2180 METRES
VELOCITY STRIDE galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
BEE SEVENTEEN galloped out and will continue to be out of the draw in future standing start events.
JACKS N JAZZ NZ galloped out and will continue to be out of the draw in future standing start events.
TO THE LOOKOUT galloped free of interference racing around the first turn and has been placed on its last chance to race truly.
VAN NIEKERK NZ gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 31 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
RACE 4 – GREAT NORTHERN STAKES–2500 METRES
HENRY HU NZ galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
TEARAWAY DIAMOND was slow to begin then trailed the field to be beaten in excess of 48 metres.
PUNTARNO STRIDE NZ worked around the field three wide early to race outside the leader.
RACE 5 – JACKSONS SECURITY STAKES–2180 METRES
KARALTA DAZZLER galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
KEEP PLAYING galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
SLINGSHOT galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
HEZA RUMMAGE NZ galloped out and has been placed out of the draw in future standing start events.
OZZIE MAJOR broke shortly after the start and will continue to be out of the draw in standing start events.
THE SITUATION NZ galloped out and will continue to be out of the draw in standing start events.
ONE OFF NZ galloped out and will continue to be out of the draw in standing start events.
JOHN RICHARD broke shortly after the start and will continue to be out of the draw in standing start events.
KEEP PLAYING broke a hopple connector strap shortly after the start and was retired from the event. The gear used was examined and found to be in good condition.
SLINGSHOT broke free of interference and has been stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial.
RADAR STRIDE and JOHN RICHARD locked wheels momentarily around the final time.
Driver D Ford was fined the sum of $50 under AHRR52(5) for failing to return to the All Clear Steward.
Driver M Ford was fined the sum of $50 under AHRR52(5) for failing to return to the All Clear Steward.
RACE 6 –NATONE CRICKET CLUB STAKES–1892 METRES
ULTIMATE ME NZ broke shortly after the start and has been placed out of the draw in future standing start events.
QUEENOFDANCE NZ raced roughly after the start and pulled hard during the event.
MACH ANGELO raced roughly after the start.
REDS GOOD TO GO swung sideways after the start and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
STAR RULER NZ was fractious and delayed the start before galloping away and taking no competitive part in the event. The gelding has been placed out of the draw in future standing start events.
A warning was issued to ULTIMATE ME NZ which hung in and contacted marker pegs.
RACE 7 – LIFE MEMBERS PACE–2180 METRES
MY ULTIMATE JIMBO broke shortly after the start and has been placed out of the draw in future mobile events.
MIDNIGHT IN MEMPHIS broke racing around the first turn and has been placed on its last chance to race truly.
JO DINA pulled hard during the event.
WRITTEN IN SILK shifted out under pressure in the home straight. Driver T Ford was fined the sum of $100 under AHRR162(1)(www)(c). Particulars were that she allowed her horse to shift ground in the home straight which enabled MIDNIGHT IN MEMPHIS to gain an inside run.
Driver D Ford was fined the sum of $100 under AHRR156(3). Particulars were that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the home straight.
RACE 8 – ANITA DOW MP PACE–2180 METRES
MY ULTIMATE MAJOR was out of position at the start. Driver M Ford was reprimanded under AHRR162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position until the start.
GUYS BETTOR BET broke racing to the first turn and has been placed out of the draw in future mobile events.
MAYWYN MACDUFF underwent a post-race veterinary examination after tiring to be beaten in excess of 50 metres. No abnormalities were detected and the gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Driver T Ford was fined the sum of $100 after pleading guilty to a charge under AHRR156(3). Particulars were that in Trial 3 at the CPPC Trial meeting on 14/11/22 when driving ASHLEYS BLUE CHIP Miss Ford used her whip on two occasions after the finish line
