A warning was placed against the mare’s pre-race behaviour.
GRACES STAR (C Peterson) - Gave ground from the 800m to be beaten approximately 199m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare was slow to recover and was showing signs of muscle tightness. The mare will now be stood down for a period of 7 days and until a veterinary clearance is provided before racing or trialling again.
DOWN TENNESSEE (A Suvaljko) - Broke gait after the start was effected. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.

ADDA LOMBO (T Stone) - Broke gait broke gait when entering the front straight on the final occasion.
General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ADDA LOMBO (T Stone) breaking gait when entering the front straight on the final occasion. Mr T Stone stated that there was pressure from the three wide line which caused contact to the mare’s off- fore causing it to break gait. Driver L Kennelly (REDDY TO FLY) put forward that the gelding hung in despite his efforts to correct his drive and further advised that it was racing with a hood for the first time which may have contributed to it hanging inwards. Mr L Kennelly also advised that Trainer H Reeves will now consider making gear changes for future starts to rectify its racing manner. After considering all evidence and viewing the patrol footage a warning was placed against REDDY TO FLY’s racing manners and Mr L Kennelly was reminded of his obligation to make every effort to prevent horse from hanging when under pressure in future.
RACE 6 – HARRY CAPARARO MEMORIAL PRELUDE 2 PACE (1832MS)
