Gawler Monday 8th July 2024

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – DF & E KEMP & SON PACE -  2070MS

DUFFY HOLLOW (N Brown) hung inwards and over raced at various stages of the race and a warning was issued.

RACE 2 –  LYNDOCH MOTORS PACE – 1609MS

No claims were lodged for any runner in this event.

No Report.

RACE 3 – TWO WELLS BAKERY PACE – 1609MS

FRAGMENTATION (T Brown) broke gait free of interference entering the back straight on the final occasion and a warning was issued.

OUR WANTSNNEEDS (M Borg) which was trailing the leader ARCTIC WIND (S Pascoe) broke gait after entering the back straight on the final occasion when inconvenienced by the tiring ARCTIC WIND, veered up the track contacting REACT TO BEAUTY resulting in Tiana McMahon being dislodged from the sulky.Reinsperson Tiana McMahon was examined by First Care medical team and passed fit to fulfill her driving commitments.

REACT TO BEAUTY (T McMahon) underwent a post race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were reported.

PLUTUS (M Smith) which was checked in the incident in the back straight was treated for cut to the off hind hock but no stand down period was required.

Reinsperson Kevin Weidenbach (GRENADE) was fined $100 under R156 (2)(a) for using his whip in more than a flicking motion.

RACE 4 – LADBROKES EMERGING STARS TROTTERS SERIES - 2070MS

The weather condition was changed to overcast.

THE NINTH WAVE (D Hill) which galloped shortly after start will continue to be excluded from the draw in mobile barrier races.

RACE 5 -1800-GOT-JUNK? PACE – 1609MS

The near side spreader on MOTHER OF PEARL (S Pascoe) broke leaving the back straight on the first occasion and trailed the field thereafter.

RACE 6 – CLUSE BROS TYREPOWER PACE – 1609MS

The offside sulky tyre of CELESTIAL TOPAZ (K Weidenbach) deflated in running approaching the front straight on the first occasion.

AUNTY BESSY (G Pullicino) paced roughly in the front straight in the run to the finish.

RACE 7 – PODIATRY CARE GAWLER TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2070SS

BARHOON (N Brown) galloped from the barrier and was placed on its last chance in the draw.

A warning was placed on WHITE STAR WHIZZ (M Smith) and ATOUT (D Hill) which galloped shortly after the start.

IMA DESTROYER (G Pullicino) which commenced poorly will continue to be drawn wide.

A final warning was placed on BJ LINDENNY (M Borg) which galloped in the back straight.

TROTTENEM OKAY (T Brown) galloped near the 500 metres and checked WHITE STAR WHIZZ (M Smith), TENLILFONZIES (D Smith) and BARHOON (N Brown).  A.final warning was issued.

The lugging pole on WHITE STAR WHIZZ became detached and the head check bit shifted through the gelding’s mouth.

RACE 8 – SA BOTRA PACE – 1609MS
