Stewards noted the intended tactics from trainers with multiple runners in the one race

Redcliffe – 30 June 2022

Steward today continued the inquiry regarding the finding of medications and treatment drips found by the Integrity Investigative Team in discarded rubbish at stable the of Trainer Allan Ellul. After taking some evidence the inquiry was adjourned to allow tests to be carried out on the pre-race samples taken from Allambie on the day. Such tests have subsequently found no prohibited substances. After considering the matter Stewards noted the circumstances and took no further action in the matter.

Race 1 - RADIO TAB 2YO TROTTERS HANDICAP       1628M

Hold My Hat Doug (Pete McMullen)– Broke gait near the 1300 m. A warning was issued.

Uwohali (Leonard Cain)– Broke gait after the start. A warning was issued.

Miss Memphis (Trent Dawson)– Galloped at the start. As previous warnings had been issued the filly will be drawn wide in future standing start events. Severely checked at the 600 m when Venus Love broke gait.

Venus Love (Chantal Turpin)– Broke gait near the 600. A warning was issued.

Nellie Joy (Angus Garrard)– Broke gait after the start. A warning was issued. Severely checked at the 600 m when Venus Love broke gait.

Race 2 – PSP TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP            2647M

INDEFENSIBLE (Angus Garrard)– Broke gait under pressure near the 100 m. A warning was issued.

RIGONDEAUX (Nathan Dawson)– Galloped at the start.  As previous warnings had been issued the gelding will be drawn wide in future standing start events.

EASY PICKINGS NZ (Brittany Graham)– Broke gait approaching the 2400 m and again near the 600 m. In view of the gelding’s previous record Easy Pickings NZ was stood until it trials satisfactorily on two (2) consecutive occasions.

KAR MANOR NZ (Riley Butt)– Galloped at the start. The gelding will continue to be drawn on the extreme outside in standing start events.

MATATOKI NZ (Mathew Neilson) –Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.

Kingdom Come NZ (Narissa McMullen) - Shifted in and contacted a marker post near the 2300 m and again near the 800 m.

Race 3 - KELATO ANIMAL HEALTH TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP            2138M

No Transactions (Joedy Whitaker)– Driver questioned regarding tactics and overall performance.

Dead Set Muscle (Brittany Graham)– Broke gait after the start. The mare will continue to be drawn on the extreme outside in standing start events.

Paddy Pants NZ (Riley Butt)– Galloped at the start. The gelding will be placed on its last chance in the draw. Raced wide in the middle stages before working forward to the position in the lead near the 800 m.

Shegotsass (Tim Gillespie)– Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.

Down Under Rors (John Cremin)– Galloped at the start. The gelding will be placed on its last chance in the draw.

General: Stewards questioned Joedy Whitaker regarding her decision to hold the lead when challenged by Just Call Me Molly in the back straight on the first and the overall performance of the gelding which yielded ground over the final 600 m. Ms Whitaker advised that as No Transactions had drawn the front row on this occasion she elected to hold the lead as it was considered a position that suits the gelding. In regards its overall performance Ms Whitaker confirmed her disappointment and advised it would be the intention to terminate its racing career. In view of this undertaking Stewards took no further action in the matter.

Race 4 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE            1660M

Tiz A sizzler (Brittany Graham)- Cast its near-fore shoe in running.

Delightful Dude NZ (Will Rixon)– Shifted out rounding the home turn at the 200 m.

Race 5 – COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE      1660M

Inzanight (Nathan Dawson)– Hung out when leading in the back straight on the final occasion. Gave ground over the final 400 m. The mare will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Im Loki (Brittany Graham)– Raced ungenerously during the event by hanging out on the turns and hanging in the straight. The gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly

A Rainbow Dancer (Pete McMullen) - Driver Pete McMullen fined $200 for using his whip in an unapproved manner by applying the whip in a continuous manner over the final 200 m of the event. (R.156(3)).

Race 6 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE           1660M

Cheer Leader (Grant Dixon)– Ducked out and raced ungenerously at the finish.

Saint Louis Beat (Ryan Veivers)– Broke gait in the early stages of the score up resulting in the gelding being out of position at the start. Due to a false start having declared no further action was taken. Broke gait near the 1400 m. The gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly

Whos To Blame (Hayden Barnes)– Hung out in the score and was out of position at the start. The gelding will be placed on its last chance in the draw. Hung out during the event. A warning was issued.

Dollar Bucks (Trent Dawson)– Broke gait and hung out in the early stages of the score before going over the outside running rail. As a consequence, a false start was declared. Acting on veterinary advice Dollar Bucks was scratched from the event. The gelding will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

Designer Bling (Narissa McMullen)– Broke gait leaving the 1300 m. The filly will be placed on its last chance to race truly

Race 7 – DESIGNLINE PACE   1660M

Mister Reactor (Kelli Dawson)– Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position in the lead.

Blue Bloodz (Angus Garrard) – Slow leaving the pre-race circle which resulted in the gelding being out of position at the candy pole.

Race 8 - WOLF SIGNS PACE   2138M

Leithen Burn NZ (Brendan Barnes)-Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Glenledi Commander NZ (Jordan Topping)– Overraced and pulled hard during the event.

Race 9 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT VETERANS PACE         2138M

Mohs Em Down NZ (Brendan Barnes) – Left a one-wide trailing position near the 1400 m and worked forward to the position outside of the leader.

Key Largo (Angus Garrard) – Raced wide over the final 800 m.

Misterfreeze (Chloe Butler) – Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position in the lead.

Race 10 -TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY UP TO NR70 PACE        1660M

Hy Voltage (Pete McMullen)– A false start was declared on the first occasion as the Starter was of the view that Infinity Beach was checked in the score up as a result of Hy Voltage hanging in. After subsequent consultation with Pete McMullen (Hy Voltage) and Bernie Hewitt (Infinity Beach) Hy Voltage was given the benefit of the doubt as to whether it was fully responsible for the incident.

Jingles Bromac NZ (Narissa McMullen) – Gave ground badly over the final 800 m. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory and declared the gelding ineligible until it shows by satisfactory trial it can perform to the desired standard.

What A Jolt (Chloe Butler)– Shifted in and contacted a marker post near the 1300 m.

The Grogfather (Grant Dixon)Driver Grant Dixon was fined $200 for using his whip in an approved manner over the final 200 m of the event. (R.156(2)).
