Race 1 - BURWOOD STUD MAIDEN PACE      1660M

SHARP AS CAMM BE Raced without cover over the early stages of the event out side of the leader before obtaining cover from Smarter than you nearing the 1000 metre point.

JADEZ Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

AMBERS ALLSTAR Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

BRITTS MATE NZ Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position. Inclined to hang in at various points throughout the run.  

FUNTIMES Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.

FLY BURRA Broke gait shortly after the start and will now be drawn to the outside for future mobile starts.

SMARTER THAN YOU  Raced three wide over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point of the event.

Race 2 - TESKI CLEANING SERVICES PACE   1660M

STUDLEIGH DARCEY Hung in entering the first turn contacting a marker peg a warning was issued.

THREE CHORD RIFF Hung in leaving the home turn when under pressure contacting a marker peg a warning was issued. Completed the event with a dropped offside knee boot.

THE CROM 

GHOST TRAIN Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader, obtained cover from Tracer Bullet nearing the 1000 metre point.

TEST OF FIRE Withstood a short challenge for the lead nearing the 1000 metre point from Tracer Bullet to lead throughout. Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.

BRAEVIEW FELLA Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

TRACER BULLET  Raced three wide through the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point. Was unsuccessful in a short challenge for the lead.       

Race 3 - KIDS EAT FREE - LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH PACE            2138M

BADLANDER The gelding underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after bumping the near side eye in the float on the way to the races no significant abnormalities were detected and the Gelding was permitted to start in the event.

CRIME TIME Restrained to a rearward trailing position at the start.

ROCK IT BABY Raced three wide without cover through the middle stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point.

BETTYS GOLD CLASS Hung in contacting a marker peg nearing the 1200 metre point. Gave ground over the concluding stages of the event.

JESSEJAMES SHANNON Raced wide through the early and middle stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1500 metre point.

CORNISH SMUGGLER Commenced to yield ground quickly leaving the 400 metre point of the event finishing a significant distance from the winner a post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Connections were advised the Gelding will be required to complete two satisfactory requalifying trials prior to resuming racing.

ILLBEWATCHING Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

Race 4 - STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE            2138M

POCKET BOOK NZ Inclined to over race when racing in a position with cover.

DASHNDOT Failed to maintain position at the start.

MISTER DELWIN Restrained at the start of the event, Commenced a three wide run with cover leaving the 800 metre point.

HOIHO NZ Restrained at the start of the event, Commenced a three wide run with cover leaving the 800 metre point.  

MISSED CONSEQUENCES Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 900 metre point of the event.

General

Driver L.Cain was reprimanded under AHR Rule 162(1)(J) for failing to maintain position prior to the start of the event.

Driver B. McEhinney was reprimanded under AHR Rule 162(1)(J) for failing to maintain position prior to the start of the event.

Race 5 – A ROCKNROLL DANCE AT SOMERSET FARMS PACE            1660M

THE BLUE WREN Surrendered the lead over the early stages of the race.

BETTING BARON Worked forward from the start to lead throughout.

MISS HATTIE Inconvenienced leaving the 500 metre point when Floorless was shifted wider but failed to improve.

SOMEONES WATCHING  Pulled hard in the score up and worked forward from the start to race in the position outside of the leader without cover.      

General

Driver A.Smith was reprimanded under AHR Rule 162(1)(ww) for shifting wider leaving the 500 metre point of the event and failing to improve his position, Inconveniencing trailing runners.

Driver C. Butler was fined the sum of $400 under AHR Rule 156(2) for utilizing her whip in an unapproved manner.

Race 6 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE            1660M

BUDDY PERFECT Broke in the early stages of the score up, Led throughout.

ALLORNOTHINGLEVI Raced roughly in the score up over the latter stages. Inclined to hang out under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

OLLIE OLLIE Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

THERESACHANCE Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

PRINCE JOY Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

General

Stewards questioned trainer G.Dwyer in relation to the seemingly improved performance of the Colt Buddy Perfect in todays event. G. Dwyer stated that they had only had the Colt a short time in the stable and it is the first start for the stable and the Colt had been working well at home and they expected a forward showing in todays event. Stewards noted the explanation tendered by the stable.

Race 7 – LADBROKES FAST WITHDRAWALS PACE  1660M

REASON TO SHINE Left a one out trailing position working forward three wide without cover working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point.

ROCK NIEN Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.

LUXURY LAD Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.

IDEAL ASSASSIN Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.
