Race 1 - SELECTIVE MOTORS ALBION PACE (SKY 2)            1660M

Gracenava Failed to circle in the pre-race circle. Inclined to hang out leaving the home turn.

Bettys Gold Class Held up for clear running over the early stages of the home straight.

Cheddar Made Beta NZ Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Race 2 – LADBROKES ODDS SURGE UP TO NR70 PACE       2138M

San Marea Surrendered the lead over the early stages of the event.

Teddy Feels Good Commenced to tire over the concluding stages of the event, severely checked by Back to Betoota leaving the home turn.

Luvbite Unsuccessfully challenged for the lead over the early stages of the event to race in the position outside of the leader throughout. Commenced to over race when racing without cover throughout.

Bobby Waterhouse NZ Worked forward three wide over the early stages of the event to lead throughout.

American Made NZ Yielded ground leaving the 400 metre point of the event finishing in excess of 88 metres from the winner a, post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings and connections were advised the gelding will be placed on it’s last chance to race competitively.

Subtle Delight Completed the race with an offside flat tyre.

Ideal Pace Commenced to yield ground quickly leaving the 800 metre point of the event finishing in excess of 129 metres from the winner a post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Connection were advised the Horse will be required to complete one satisfactory requalifying trial prior to resuming racing.

General

Driver P. Bevan was reprimanded under AHR Rule 43 (2) for failing to arrive on course or notify stewards by the by the prescribed time. Stewards took into consideration the evidence tendered by the driver and the circumstances of the incident.

Stewards inquired into an incident leaving the hometurn where Teddy Feels Good was severely checked when yielding ground. After taking evidence from drivers A.Garrard (Back to Betoota) and D.Hewitt (Teddy Feels Good) it was established that as Mr Garrard commenced to shift wider to improve when not suitably clear of Teddy Feels Good resulting in that horse being severely checked when yielding ground to the outside. Stewards issued a charge under AHR Rule 163 (1)(a)(iii) Mr Garrard subsequently pled guilty to the charge. When considering penalty stewards considered the circumstances of the incident, the degree of interference suffered, the guilty plea and the exemplary record which includes in excess of 3300 drives since a previous penalty under this rule. The license of Mr Garrard was suspended for a period of 7 days commencing midnight 19/04/24 and will expire on midnight 26/04/24.

Race 3 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND BAND 5 PACE           1660M

Classic Mix Up Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Much Bettor NZ Caught wide over the early stages of the event and was restrained to a rearward trailing position.

Saint Veran Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Three Rivers NZ Left a one out trailing position working forward three wide without cover leaving the 1000 metre point.

Race 4 - PSP FRIDAY FRENZY PACE  1660M

A Perfect Dance Restrained at the start.

Jaccka Wally NZ Raced three wide over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point of the event.

Mach Quillan NZ Raced wide over the early stages of the event with cover working forward nearing the 1000 metre point of the event was unsuccessful in obtaining a forward position and was obliged to irace wide for the remainder commencing to yield ground leaving the 600 metre point finishing in excess of 130 metres from the winner. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Connections were advised the Gelding will be required to complete two satisfactory consecutive requalifying trials prior to resuming racing.

Race 5 – LEADING EDGE SECURITY PACE     2138M

Getaloadathisbro Caught wide over the early stages of the event and was restrained to a rearward trailing position.

Tobefairtoyou Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Braeview Fella Caught wide over the early stages restraining to a rearward trailing position.

Amused Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.

Race 6 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLI DAWSON PACE    1660M

Quik ChangeGave ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Captain Of Speed Inconvenienced when Junior Ryan hung in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

Junior Ryan Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event inconveniencing a runner to the inside. A warning was placed on the Gelding.

Rock Nien Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward over the early stages of the event to the position outside of the leader.

Race 7 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO PACE 1660M

Lieutenant Lou Raced roughly and broke gait leaving the home turn. Connections were advised the Gelding will be required to complete one satisfactory requalifying trial prior to resuming racing.

Little Surfer GirlPlaced back in the mobile draw after two consecutive successful mobile starts.

Maywyns Mighty Mac Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position. Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.

Race 8 – WORLD FIRST @ THE CREEK COMING SOON PACE            1660M

Lets Get Shorty Caught wide over the early stages of the event and was restrained to a rearward trailing position.

Typhoon Torque Hung in leaving the 800 metre point of the event contacting a marker peg.

Race 9 – PELICAN WATERS RESORT 1 WIN PACE     1660M

Convinced Dropped a nearside knee boot in running.

Spring Into Action Hung in rounding the hometurn contacting a number of marker pegs. A warning was placed on the Gelding.

Tuffy Broke shortly after the start free of interference. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed out of the draw for future mobile starts.
