Race 2 –LEADING EDGE SECURITY PACE 1660M
OHOKAREDROBINJUJON Hung in and broke gait nearing the 900-metre point of the event and will be required to complete one satisfactory requalifying trial prior to resuming racing.
PISCINA Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.
IDEAL TIGER NZ Briefly checked nearing the 900-metre point when OHOKAREDROBINJUJON broke gait.
TWILIGHT TANGO Raced three wide over the early stages working forward to obtain the lead nearing the 1200 metre point.
DAISY DIANA NZ Fractious in the pre-race preliminary circle and required the assistance of the clerk. The Filly will continue to be drawn to the outside for future mobile starts. Raced three wide through the middle stages without cover working forward to obtain the lead over the latter stages of the event leaving the 1000 metre point.

Driver T.Callaghan was reprimanded under AHR 135(2) for failing to be present on the track by the required time prior to the start of the event.
Driver L.Cain was reprimanded under AHR 135(2) for failing to be present on the track by the required time prior to the start of the event.
Race 3 –NUTRIEN EQUINE PACE 1660M
THE REAL ROCKETMAN NZ The near side sulky tyre was struck entering the home straight which may have placed the Gelding at somewhat of a disadvantage over the latter stages of the event.
TORO LOCO Raced three wide without cover over the early and middle stages of the event after being unsuccessful in obtaining a forward position was restrained to a rearward trailing position over the remainder of the event.
BRIAN CHRISTOPHER NZ Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
General
Driver N.Dawson was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 168(1)(a) for striking the nearside sulky tyre of THE REAL ROCKETMAN NZ when searching for clear running upon entering the home straight.
Driver L. Dwyer was reprimanded under AHR Rule 163 (1)(c) for striking the final marker peg upon entering the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
Race 4 – 2025 SOMERSET FARMS THE DARRELL ALEXANDER TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND 1 HEAT 1 2647M
IZARRA Broke after the start and galloped for some distance. Connections were advised a warning was placed on the Mare.
CALL ME TROUBLE NZ Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
VAN SANK Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
Race 5 –PSP FRIDAY FRENZY PACE 2138M
LOCHINVAR JEWELLS Broke gait over the early stages of the score up resulting in the Mare being out of position at the start. Connections were advised the Mare will now be placed out of the draw for future mobile starts.
POCKET BOOK NZ Raced three wide over the early stages of the event before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.
LA MISTRESS Inconvenienced nearing the 600-metre point by the tiring SMARTER THAN YOU.
SMARTER THAN YOU Commenced to yield ground quickly nearing the 700 metre point of the event inconveniencing trailing runners. The Gelding finished the event in excess of 86 metres from the winner and a post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.
MARDIBRINGSAPARTY Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 1100metre point.

Driver G.Dwyer was reprimanded under AHR Rule 162(1)(d) for failing to be in the pre race preliminary circle by the required time which resulted in the start of the race being delayed.
Race 6 –2025 SOMERSET FARMS THE DARRELL ALEXANDER TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND 1 HEAT 2 2647M
TE RAPA NZ Broke gait shortly after the start and a warning was placed on the Gelding. Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.
GRACIAS NZ Broke gait entering the first turn then again nearing the 1500 metre point. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
IMPACT STRIDE Led the event over the early stages before surrendering the lead nearing the 1800 metre point to GET USED TO IT.
MCGEE Broke gait entering the first turn and galloping for a significant distance. Connections were advised the Gelding will have a warning placed on it.
BANFF Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
MAJESTIC PARTY BOY Slow into stride over the early stages of the event. The Gelding was inclined to race roughly leaving the home turn.
SHEZA CHANCE Paced out at the start of the event for a significant distance before being able to be restrained back into the correct gait losing significant ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. A warning was placed on the Mare.
GET USED TO IT Worked forward to the lead nearing the 1800 metre point.
Race 7 –GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE 1660M
Approaching the 900-metre point of the event Moonshiner NZ who was racing in the position outside of the leader raced roughly for a short distance and fell resulting in the trailing runners suffering significant interference with several falling as a result. The remainder of the race was subsequently abandoned and declared a no race. Due to the distance already covered by runners and the location of the incident the race was not rerun.
MOONSHINER NZ– Fell and underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left side of the face and a potential skull fracture. Driver T.Callaghan was examined by the QAS officers and was cleared of any significant injury however has been directed to provide a medical clearance prior to resuming race drives. Trainer C.Turpin was advised a veterinary clearance and the results of a skull x-ray will need to be provided before the Gelding resumes racing.
PERFECTLY QUIRKY– Fell dislodged the driver A.Sanderson. A post race veterinary examination of the Filly Revealed no significant findings.
COPPERFIELD – Fell and dislodged the driver P.Bevan. A post race veterinary examination of the Gelding revealed lacerations to the mouth and left side of the face and a significant shoulder laceration. Driver P.Bevan was subsequently transported to Hospital for further assessment and treatment and will be stood down from driving engagements until a medical clearance has been provided. Trainer I.Gurney was advised a veterinary clearance will need to be provided prior to the Gelding resuming racing.
IDEAL ASSASSIN– Fell and Dislodged driver B.Barnes , A post race veterinary examination of the Mare revealed no significant findings. Driver B.Barnes was examined by on course paramedics and cleared of any injury.
Race 8 –LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI PACE 1660M
LANAI Raced three wide without cover over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1100 metre point. Inconvenienced briefly by the Galloping ITZBUDDHA NZ leaving the home turn.
ITZBUDDHA NZ Led throughout, Broke gait leaving the home turn free of interference. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
