Race 1 - LADBROKES EASY FORM PACE 1660M
MY ULTIMATE VICTOR – Jibbed at the start and was slow to score up and was out of position at the start of the event. Connections were advised the Gelding will be out of the draw for future mobile starts. Leaving the 800-metre point of the event commenced to hang out when leading despite the efforts of the driver allowing Zoom Party who was trailing to improve along the peg line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings and connections were advised the Gelding will be required to complete one satisfactory requalifying trial prior to resuming racing.
ROCK OF DELIGHT - Momentarily tightened and contacted a marker peg entering the home turn when Rock Nien shifted in momentarily.
ROCK SUPREME – Inconvenienced when My Ultimate Victor commenced to hang out.
ROCK NIEN – Shifted in entering the home turn tightening Rock Supreme who was racing to the inside.
ROCKIN IN PARADISE – Raced wide through the middle stages without cover
General
Driver S.Graham was reprimanded under AHR Rule 162(1)(a) for shifting ground entering the home turn momentarily tightening a runner to the inside resulting in that horse contacting a marker peg.
Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE 1660M
The start of this race was delayed due to localised thunder storms in the vicinity of the track. As a result all races were put back one timeslot with race ten starting at 10:45 pm.
Due to the rain affected surface mud guards and splash sheets were applied from race 2 onwards.
The mobile was tested and found to have sufficient traction to proceed.
SMOKESHOW – Inclined to hang in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.
DIDSHEDOIT NZ – Surrendered the lead over the early stages of the event. When Borella worked forward to obtain the lead nearing the 1300 metre point.
BORELLA NZ worked forward three wide from the start of the event without cover to obtain the lead nearing the 1300 metre point.
BEV THE GOAT NZ Broke gait in the early stages of the score up resulting in the mare being out of position at the start of the event. Connections were advised the Mare will be placed out of the mobile draw for future mobile starts. Broke gait nearing the 400 metre point of the event, the mare will be placed on it’s last chance to race truly. A post race veterinary examination on the mare revealed a displaced soft palate.
JUDITH GWENDA NZ – Left a one out three back trailing position working forward without cover to obtain the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point of the event.
Race 3 - RACING & SPORTS.COM PACE 2138M
SHES BEWITCHED Raced three wide over the early stages of the event after being unsuccessful in obtaining a forward position was restrained to the rear, yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.
NASHVILLE BART Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1400 metre point. Obtained cover shortly after from Yankee C J NZ.
YANKEE C J NZ Raced wide over the early stages of the event with cover working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1300 metre point.
DEECEE ROCKIN Hung in over the latter stages of the score up.
Race 4 - THE LADBROKES ULTIMATE DRIVER CHAMPIONSHIP FEATURING NATHAN DAWSON NR70-99 VETERANS PACE 2138M
MIRACLE MOOSE NZ – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
TAIRLAW TOLL NZ Raced in the position outside of the leader without cover throughout, yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event finishing 10metres from the winner, Driver P.McMullen was satisfied with the horse in todays race however felt the inclement weather may have had an impact on todays performance.
CARDLESFROMHEAVEN – Raced wide over the early stages of the event before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.
Race 5 – A ROCKNROLL DANCE AT SOMERSET FARMS PACE 1660M
THREE MACHS – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
OCEAN LANE – Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.
JILLIBY PANDA – Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.
TACKAS LAST DANCE – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
THE HARRIS HAWK – Left a one out trailing position leaving the 1200 metre point of the event working forward without cover to lead over the remainder.
BATMAN BART – Left a one out trailing position with cover leaving the 1200 metre point of the event to race in the position outside of the leader over the remainder of the event.
Race 6 - TESKI CLEANING SERVICES UP TO NR70 PACE 1660M
MOMENTUM SWING – Contacted the barrier arm in the latter stages of the score up.
CALL ME KEITH NZ – Caught wide over the early stages of the event before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.
Trainer T.Ison was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 238 for failing to adhere to the direction to apply mudguards and splash sheets to all sulkys.
Race 7 – WOLF SIGNS TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP 2138M
The starting strands in this event were handheld due to the inclement weather.
INSTANT DELIGHT NZ – Inconvenienced when Gaz Man NZ boke gait leaving the home turn.
ITSALLANDOVER – Stepped and led the event before obtaining cover nearing the 1200 metre point, Inconvenienced when Gaz man NZ broke gait leaving the home turn.
ALADDIN SANE NZ – Broke gait for a short distance at the start and a warning was placed on the gelding.
CROOKWELL EYES – Placed back in the standing draw after two successful consecutive standing starts.
GET USED TO IT – Raced three wide without cover over the early stages of the event working forward to the lead nearing the 1200 metre point of the event, Obtained cover shortly after from Gaz Man NZ. Inconvenienced when Gaz Man NZ boke gait leaving the home turn.
GAZ MAN NZ – Raced three wide without cover over the early stages of the event working forward to obtain the lead nearing the 1100 metre point. Broke gait leaving the home turn inconveniencing trailing runners. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
HIDE AND SEEK – Broke gait leaving the 1400 metre point of the event and a warning was placed on the Gelding.
CALL ME TROUBLE NZ – Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 1000 metre point of the race. Broke gait leaving the 800 metre point and a warning was issued.
Race 8 – LEADING EDGE SECURITY PACE 1660M
OUR UNCLE LES utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.
THE BLUE WREN – Unsuccessfully challenged for the lead over the early stages of the event.
SAN SABA – Severely checked when the pace was abruptly steadied entering the first turn.
GOODTIME CRACKER – Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.
MACS A DUDE – Severely checked and raced roughly when contacting the sulky of Hioho NZ when the pace abruptly slackened entering the first turn.
HOIHO NZ - Severely checked and had the nearside sulky tyre flattened by Macs a Dude when the pace was abruptly slackened entering the first turn and was subsequently retired from the event.
General
Driver D. Watson was fined the sum of $300 under AHR Rule 162(1)(u) for abruptly reducing the speed entering the first turn when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead resulting in San Saba, Macs a Dude and Hoiho being severely checked and Hoiho obtaining a flat tyre and was retired from the event.
Trainer M. Crone was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 238 for failing to adhere to the direction to apply mudguards and splash sheets to all sulkys.
Race 9 – BOOK YOUR TABLE @ PACERS & CHASERS TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP 2138M
The starting strands in this event were handheld due to the inclement weather.
PANDA FOOEY – Stepped and led the event.
WHIRLWIND WILBUR Led the one wide line over the early stages of the event before obtaining cover from Tumult nearing the 1100 metre point.
MIRA SATURN – Caught wide over the early stages of the event before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.
TUMULT – Raced three wide without cover working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1100 metre point.
KIVICI - Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 700 metre point of the event.
Race 10 – PACE WITH MATES TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP 2138M
The starting strands in this event were handheld due to the inclement weather.
MY RUMOUR HAS IT NZ – Broke gait leaving the 1600 metre point of the event and then again leaving the 1200 metre point losing significant ground. Connections were advised the Mare will be placed on it’s last chance to race truly.
BENJI HALL Held up for clear running entering the home straight.
GOOD HEART Broke gait entering the first turn. Commenced to over race and pull hard, yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
