Race 1 - PACE WITH MATES 2YO TROTTERS HANDICAP      2138M

TETRICK Broke Broke gait entering the first turn, connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

ASPIRING VICTREE Broke gait leaving the 900-metre point of the event, connections were advised the Filly will have a warning placed against it. The Offside sulky tyre was flattened when Maroon Bells who was trailing struck the tyre when the Filly broke gait. The Filly was subsequently retired from the event.

OURPETABILT Swung sideways at the start of the event.

MAROON BELLS Briefly checked when Aspiring Victree broke gait forward of the filly.

Race 2 – THE LADBROKES ULTIMATE DRIVER CHAMPIONSHIP FEATURING YANNICK GINGRAS TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP            2138M

DORA LEE Broke after the start and a warning was placed on the Filly.

EN MASSE NZ Unsuccessfully challenged for the lead over the early stages of the event to race without cover throughout. Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

IM A GYPSY QUEEN Galloped out at the start and lost considerable ground, a warning was placed on the mare.

YSMIR Stepped and worked forward to the lead to lead throughout.

CONNIES PRESIDENT NZ Broke gait entering the first turn and will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Race 3 - TESKI CLEANING SERVICES TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP            2138M

MIRA SATURN Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

DOLLYS DUKE Stepped and led throughout.

KYVALLEY FINN Broke at the start and a warning was placed on the Gelding.

GOOD HEART Broke gait nearing the 1800 metre point of the event and will be required to complete one satisfactory requalifying trial prior to resuming racing.

TUMULT 

MAJESTIC SUNDAY NZ Galloped out at the start and will continue to be drawn to the outside for future standing starts.

KIVICI Trainer D. Russell was questioned in relation to the geldings seemingly improved performance in today’s event. Trainer D. Russell put forward it was the horses first start for the stable and the Gelding had been working well at home and as todays event was an easier class of race he expected a forward showing in todays event.  Stewards noted the change in circumstances for the Gelding.

Race 4 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE           1660M

FRANCS FOR COMING Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

PISCINA Underwent a pre race veterinary examination after sustaining a superficial graze to the off side hip in transit to the racecourse and was subsequently passed fit to race. Was slightly out of position at the start of the event and a warning was issued.

FULL OF CHARM Broke at the start of the event and will now be placed out of the mobile for future mobile starts. Broke gait nearing the 500 metre point of the event and will be placed on it’s last chance to race truly.

Race 5 – PRYDE'S EASIFEED EASILYTE PACE          1660M

Due to increased rain activity mud guards and splash sheets have been directed to be applied to all sulky’s.

WILLROBY Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

JAY TEE TYRON NZ Restrained at the start to the rearward trailing position.

Race 6 - IN MEMORY OF MICKEY PARR PACE           1660M

GOOD WORD THAT Commenced a three wide run nearing the 500-metre point, was checked and raced roughly for a short distance.

General

Stewards inquired into an incident nearing the 400 metre point of the event where Good Word That commenced to race roughly for a short distance. After taking evidence from drivers N. McMullen ( Good Word That) and J. Hutchinson (Our Ultimate Luca ) it was established that as driver J. Hutchinson commenced to shift wider to obtain clear running to improve, Good Word That was improving quickly to his outside resulting in that horse contacting the sulky wheel becoming unbalanced and racing roughly. Stewards considered all the evidence tendered by both drivers and the current track conditions and driver J. Hutchinson was charged under AHR Rule 168 (1)(a)(ii) and fined the sum of $200.

Race 7 - CATCH THE FIRE AT SOMERSET FARMS NR70-99 VETERANS PACE   2138M

The start of this event was delayed due to the ambulance officers having to tend to a race day track official.

TAIRLAW TOLL NZ Contacted the mobile barrier arm in the early stages of the score up and broke gait for a short distance.

BOOTS ELECTRIC NZ Raced wide over the early stages of the race working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1800 metre point.

Race 8 – I H CAPITAL PACE    1660M

APHRODITE Failed to circle in the pre-race preliminary circle.

BORELLA NZ Inclined to hang out when leading and a warning was issued.

THE MASKED CRUSADER NZ 

CORINDHAP CREEK Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.

CAPTAIN NEMO NZ Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.

LEITHEN BURN NZ Broke in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed out of the mobile draw for future mobile starts.

Race 9 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE           2138M

SMARTER THAN YOU Unable to secure clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

JACCKA COOPER NZ Led over the early stages of the event, obtaining a trail nearing the 1300 metre point of the event. Inclined to race roughly for a short distance leaving the hometurn.

ROCK NIEN Raced in the position outside of the leader over the early stages of the event working forward to the lead nearing the 1300 metre point.

GOODOLBOYSANDBEER Restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position.

BRETTS RED Raced wide without cover over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1300 metre point.

General

Driver B.Livingstone was reprimanded under AHR Rule 170(1)(a) for dropping his foot from the sulky rest leaving the hometurn.

Race 10 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE UP TO NR75 PACE      1660M

MADRIGAL NZ Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

VINDICATE NZ Briefly locked wheels with Always Thunder when that gelding hung in briefly entering the home turn.

BETTOR ROMANCE Inclined to hang out under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH NZ Inclined to shift out over the concluding stages of the event.

MONSIEUR DELACOUR Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

ALWAYS THUNDER Inclined to hang in briefly entering the home turn, locking wheels with Vindicate NZ who was racing to the inside.
