Race 1 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO TROTTERS HANDICAP  2138M

Lain NZ – Commenced to buck after the start. A warning was issued.

Moissanite – Broke gait after the start. A warning was issued. Galloped on multiple of occasions during the event. The gelding was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.

Tetrick – Swung sideways before galloping at the start. A warning was issued. Broke gait near the 1800m and again near the 800m. A warning was issued.

Its All Right Now – Broke gait near the 400m. A warning was issued.

Race 2 - TESKI CLEANING SERVICES TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP  2138M

Snowvandova – Hung in and broke gait approaching the first turn after the start and continued to hang in for the remainder of the event. A warning was issued.

Ahundredplus – Broke gait near the 1900m. A warning was issued.

Benji Hall – Raced ungenerously at stages during the event.

Good Heart – Broke gait after the start. A warning was issued.

Race 3 - LEADING EDGE SECURITY MAIDEN PACE   1660M

Sweet Lad Jujon – Raced roughly near the 400m. Checked when Talker Jae Walker broke gait.

Racana NZ – Locked stays with Gleneagle Ruler approaching the finish.

Gleneagle Ruler – Locked stays with Racana NZ approaching the finish.

Victree Charlie - Checked and then broke when Talker Jae Walker broke gait leaving the 400m.

Talker Jae Walker – Hung in and broke gait leaving the 400m.The colt will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

John Snow NZ – Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1000m.

So Many Moments- Checked when Talker Jae Walker broke gait leaving the 400m.

Race 4 - WOLF SIGNS UP TO NR70 PACE  2138M

Full Brother – Broke gait in the early stages of the score up.

Race 5  -  RACING & SPORTS.COM PACE  1660M

Magicol Ideal NZ – Hung out after the start. Hung out in the back straight on the final occasion. Driver fined careless causing  a tightening.

Delilah Rose – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages. Lost momentum when racing at the rear of the field leaving the 1000m due to the tempo of the race.

Novanta Rising – Was caught wide in the early stages and after an unsuccessful challenge for the position outside of the leader was obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event.

Scruffy NZ – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

Aurora Joy – Forced inside the line of the marker posts near the 400m when tightened for room by Magicol Ideal NZ. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

General: John Stariha (Magicol Ideal NZ) was fined $200 for being careless in allowing Magicol Ideal NZ which had shifted up the track in the back straight to move back down causing a tightening to Aurora Joy NZ resulting in that mare being forced to shift inside the line of the marker posts near the 400m. (AHR. 168(1)(a)).

Race 6 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND UP TO NR90 PACE   1660M

Bronski Delight – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Mr McLaren NZ – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

Race 7  - LADBROKES RACING CLUB NR70-99 VETERANS PACE            2138M

Kickatinalongpony – Driver fined unapproved whip use.

Last Time Joe – Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward initially to the position outside of the leader. Retired from the event by the driver near the 1200m. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found the gelding to be suffering atrial fibrillation. The gelding was stood down for a period of 14 days plus an ECG & Veterinary report and satisfactory trial.

Tairlaw Toll NZ – Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Dadndave NZ – Back from it allocated position at the start.

General: Nathan Rothwell (Kickatinalongpony) was fined $200 for using the whip in an unapproved manner over the final 200m. (AHR 156(2)(a)).

Race 8 - PRYDE'S EASIFEED THREE PACE    1660M

Lulu Mae – Broke gait in the early stages of the score up.

Imxtraspecial– Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward initially to the position outside of the leader. 

Go Colour My World NZ – Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1000m.

Always Promise Me – Held up for a clear run to the finish.

Ideal Desire – Held up for clear running to the finish and when endeavouring to obtain clear running near the 1000m became unbalance and race roughly for a short distance.

Botticelli – Hung our in the back straight on the final occasion. Contacted sulky of Sweetnspicy and broke gait near the 500m

Judith Gwenda NZ – Checked at the 400m when Botticelli galloped.

General: Drivers Nathan Dawson (Botticelli) and Matthew Neilson (Sweetnspicy) were questioned regarding the reason for Botticelli galloping when racing on the outside of Sweetnspicy near the 500m. It was established that Botticelli hung out prior to the incident and was being moved down the track to a position behind Lul Mae at the same time Matthew Neilson was moving Sweetnspicy out to that position. Stewards deemed the incident caused by the combination of the movement of both horses and noted the circumstances.

Race 9 - CATCH THE FIRE AT SOMERSET FARMS PACE  1660M

Sweet On Lexy – Held up for clear running at a vital stage rounding the home turn. Contacted a marker post near the 300m when racing in restricted room.

Bold Medley Jujon NZ – Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Laurie Dee – Having not started in a race since November 2023 and in accordance with QRIC guidelines, the gelding was examined before and after the race by the veterinarian which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
