General: Stewards opened an inquiry into an incident on the home turn involving KOONYMARA (Taleah McMullen), which was observed to be tightened for racing room and subsequently raced roughly. At the relevant stage, KOONYMARA was positioned between BOSTON ASSASSIN (Paige Bevan) to its outside with ROYAL PRINCESS (Shane Graham) ahead to its inside.Evidence established that the incident occurred as KOONYMARA was attempting to establish a run to the inside of BOSTON ASSASSIN. At the same time, ROYAL PRINCESS, which had been racing ungenerously, shifted outwards ahead of Koonymara, resulting in a loss of momentum for KOONYMARA and contributing to the tightening. After considering all available evidence, Stewards deemed the matter a racing incident, noting the combination of factors including the racing manners of ROYAL PRINCESS and the positioning of the runners.
