Race 1 - LADBROKES OWN SPRING UP TO NR70 HEAT 1 1660M
MYNAMESEVAN shifted out under pressure in the front straight in the run to the finish.
BARRETT hung in on the turn into the front straight in the run to the finish.
WESTERN ARTERRA checked and broke gait on the turn into the front straight in the run to the finish.
General: Stewards inquired into the reason that Western Arterra broke gait on the turn into the front straight in the run to the finish. After taking evidence from Jordon Topping (Western Arterra), Matt Elkins (Congo Line) and Nathan Dawson (Barrett) stewards could not be satisfied that any one particular driver or horse could be fully to blame for this incident. Western Arterra lost considerable ground as a consequence. Stewards consider that Matt Elkins (Congo Line) may have moved wider slightly in the front straight however the factor of Mynamesevan hanging out slightly and Barrett hanging in which may of contributed to this incident. The incident was noted accordingly.
Driver Alanah Richardson (Mynamesevan) was fined $400 for continuous whip use in the front straight in the run to the finish. (AHRR156(3).
Race 2 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY AL BARNES PACE 1660M
BEV THE GOAT NZ slow out of circle start.
Race 3 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE 1660M
EAGLESPRIDE raced roughly at approximately the 350 metres momentarily.
Race 4 - STANCE EQUITEC PACE 2138M
B MAC C NZ led the one (1) wide line before obtaining trial in the front straight just prior to the bell
FRANCO MACHO NZ caught wide early before working wide to lead the one (1) wide line at approximately 1600 metres.
KERBANG raced three (3) wide at the 1200 metres before leading the one (1) wide line with 1100 metres approximately remaining.
LONESTAR LAD over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event.
Race 5 – RACING & SPORTS.COM PACE 2138M
LA SABINA NZ raced wide and worked forward from approximately 1400 metres to lead the one (1) wide at approximately 110 metres.
LULU LUCIFER held up for a clear run late in the front straight in the run to the finish.
GELDOF shifted in and contacted marker pegs approaching the turn into the front straight for the run to the finish.
GLENEAGLE VEE CEE worked forward from the start wide on the track to lead the event in the back straight in the first lap.
ALLORNOTHINGLEVI shifted out under pressure in the front straight in the run to the finish. A warning was issued.
Race 6 - PSP FRIDAY FRENZY PACE 1660M
PERFECT FEELING hung out at the start and a warning was issued. Raced greenly over the final 150 metres approximately and trainer advised to take corrective to ensure a repetition doesn’t occur again.
HATTIES JEWEL tendered at shift out in the early stages of the front straight in the run to the finish.
MAJOR TRALEE inconvenienced in the back straight near the 800 metres when Highly Respected was checked.
WONDERWOMAN JUJON re-included in the draw after completing the requirements under the QRIC policy.
HIGHLY RESPECTED broke gait in the early stages of the score up.
General: Driver Hannah Anforth (Specialandiknowit) was fined $200 for being carless in the back straight for easing wider on the track when insufficiently clear of the extended front legs of Highly Respected resulting in the mare being checked and Major Tralee (Nathan Dawson) being inconvenienced. (AHRR 168(1)a)
Race 7 – PACE WITH MATES PACE 1660M
WILLROBY held up for a clear run in the run to the finish.
MORETTA three (3) wide with trail before working forward to lead the one (1) wide line at approximately 950 metres.
SPLASHNDASH caught wide early worked to lead the one (1) wide line at approximately 1100 metres. Held up for a clear run in the front straight in the run to the finish.
Race 8 - TESKI CLEANING SERVICES 1 WIN PACE 1660M
AARDIES MONEY NZ over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event before breaking gait and losing all competitive chance on the turn out of the back straight in the final lap. A last chance to race truly was placed on the filly.
THE BLINGSTER gave ground to be beaten 64.3 metres. The gelding will be required trial to the satisfaction of the stewards before racing again. Stewards took into account the previous racing history of The Blingster in determining penalty.
SOMEONES WATCHING inconvenienced on the turn out of the back straight in the final lap when Aardies Money NZ broke gait.
