Race 1 – PRYDE'S EASIFEED RACING CUBE TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP    2138M  [SS]

PHOEBE MAJESTIC NZ (Leonard Cain)– Reared at the start and lost ground.

IGNITE (Pete McMullen) – Stepped and led before surrendering the lead to LIZZIES SON leaving the 1450m. Obtained an inside run leaving the 550m when trailing LIZZIES SON, which was inclined to hang outwards.

LIZZIES SON (Don Brown) – Raced outside the leader before working forward to the lead leaving the 1450 metres. When leading, was inclined to hang outwards leaving the 550 metres, then trotted roughly, subsequently breaking gait near the 250 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections were advised the gelding will be stood down pending two (2) consecutive satisfactory trials. Lost an off-side hind shoe during the event.

MILLY AN EYRE NZ (Taleah McMullen)– Inconvenienced after the start when PHOEBE MAJESTIC NZ reared.

YSMIR (Shane Graham)– Trotted roughly leaving the 850 metres while racing in a one-out, one-back position. Inconvenienced leaving the 250 metres when LIZZIES SON broke gait.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (Nathan Dawson)– Commenced a three-wide run without cover from a midfield trailing position leaving the 750 metres.

ALADDIN SANE NZ (Grant Dixon)– Commenced a trailing three-wide run from a rearward position leaving the 750 metres.

CROOKWELL EYES (Gary Whitaker)– Commenced a trailing three-wide run from the rear of the field leaving the 750 metres.            

DAIMYO (Brendan Barnes) – Worked forward from the start, improving three wide before breaking gait clear of interference approaching the 1800 metres, losing valuable ground. Considering the gelding’s recent racing record, connections were advised DAIMYO has been placed on its last chance to race truly. Regained its gait and progressed forward to obtain the position outside the leader leaving the 1450 metres. Inclined to overrace during the middle stages while racing outside the leader. Inconvenienced leaving the 550 metres when racing to the outside of LIZZIES SON, which was inclined to hang outwards.    

Race 2 – LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI PACE    2138M  [MS]                                           

POST PAINTER NZ (Brendan Barnes) – The mare was inclined to hang outwards while racing outside the leader in the back straight on the final occasion and again when placed under pressure in the run to the finish. A warning was issued. Trainer G. Hewitt advised that, given this was the mare’s first race start for the stable, gear adjustments will be implemented prior to its next engagement to improve tractability. Stewards noted Trainer Hewitt’s comments.

Race 3 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACERS BAND HANDICAP    2138M  [SS]              

ARKIN WICKED (Adam Sanderson) – Galloped out at the start, losing considerable ground. A warning was issued.

MISTER REACTOR (Nathan Dawson) – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish in winning the event.

OUR MAJOR DAY (Dayl March) – Galloped out at the start and will remain out of the draw for future standing start events. The gelding then raced ungenerously through the middle stages while positioned on the marker line towards the rear of the field.            

ROCK SUPREME (Bryse McElhinney) – Began slowly after the start.   

Race 4 – BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE    1660M  [MS]                                              

GIRL POWER (Grant Dixon) – Positioned outside the leader throughout the event.

MAYWYN VALENTINO (Shane Graham) – Paced roughly on the turn into the back straight on the final occasion and lost ground while racing at the rear of the field. Broke gait leaving the 250 metres while racing wider on the track. Considering the gelding’s recent racing record, connections were advised that MAYWYN VALENTINO will be stood down pending one (1) satisfactory requalifying trial.

MYTHICAL DRAGON (Adam Sanderson) – Held up for clear running when utilizing the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Race 5 – SOMERSET FARMS PACE    2138M  [MS]                                        

IMANI (Trent Dawson) – Caught wide shortly after the start before being restrained to a midfield trailing position rounding the first turn.   

OUR DICKIE BART (Nathan Dawson) – Improved three wide from a rearward trailing position leaving the 1450 metres, obtaining the position outside the leader near the 1100 metres.   

Race 6 – STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE    1660M  [MS]                                                                            

EPIC ERNIE (Jonah Hutchinson) – Was held up and inconvenienced when positioned behind the tiring KALASA NZ leaving the 400 metres. 

KALASA NZ (Layne Dwyer) – After racing in a forward position, the gelding gave ground over the final 400 metres of the event to be beaten in excess of 39 metres, finishing eighth and last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a slow post-race recovery. Trainer R Sallis advised Stewards that the gelding will be sent for a spell. Stewards noted Trainer Sallis’ comments.

SEASIDE GLORY (Adam Sanderson) – Hang outwards in the latter stages of the score-up, causing inconvenience to HOT ROD HARRY drawn to its outside. A warning was issued.  

HOT ROD HARRY (Trent Dawson) – Inconvenienced in the latter stages of the score-up as a result of SEASIDE GLORY hanging outwards. Improved three wide from a rearward trailing position leaving the 1300 metres, obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres.      

Race 7 – KIDS EAT FREE - LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH PACE    1660M  [MS]

LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (Adam Sanderson) - Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to obtain the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres. Approaching the 1000 metres, the gelding maintained that position despite a brief challenge from JOHN SNOW NZ (Nathan Dawson) and continued to race outside the leader for the remainder of the event.

JOHN SNOW NZ (Nathan Dawson) – Caught three wide with cover in the early stages before progressing forward without cover through the middle stages. After failing to obtain the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres, the gelding was restrained to the rear of the field.

MULLUM DOC  (Angus Garrard) – Failed to take part in the preliminary circle and was out of position at the candy pole, however, was able to fill its allotted gate position by the start point. Connections were advised that MULLUM DOC has been placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

Race 8 – NUTRIEN EQUINE PACE    1660M  [MS]                                           

ITS ONE LIFE NZ (Leonard Cain) – Hung inwards near the 350 metres, resulting in its sulky wheel contacting and dislodging a marker peg. Subsequently held up rounding the home turn behind the weakening BLUE BLOODZ, before gaining clear running shortly after straightening.

LITTLE HOOFANANNY NZ (Grant Dixon) – Caught racing three wide in the early stages before progressing forward to obtain the position leading the one-wide line near the 1100 metres.         

BLUE BLOODZ (Angus Garrard) – Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to obtain the lead near the 1300 metres. Hung inwards noticeably while weakening rounding the final turn, causing its sulky wheel to contact and dislodge several marker pegs. A warning was issued.

SPORTS BOUNTY (Damon Watson) – Held up rounding the home turn before shifting wider to obtain clear running in the run to the finish.

Race 9 – RACING & SPORTS.COM PACE    1660M  [MS]                                            

BRACKEN WARRIOR (Trent Dawson) – Hung inwards near the 1400 metres, resulting in its sulky wheel contacting and dislodging a marker peg.    

SAN SABA (Narissa Elkins) – Hung inwards leaving the 1400 metres, resulting in its sulky wheel contacting and dislodging a marker peg. Gave ground over the final 400 metres to be beaten in excess of 40 metres, finishing ninth and last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.         

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS NZ (Shane Graham) - Broke gait early in the score-up before hanging inwards during the remainder of the score-up, for which a warning was issued. Hung inwards noticeably during the early stages of the event, resulting in a further warning being placed on the mare’s racing manners.

BUDDY PERFECT (Layne Dwyer)– Raced outside the leader throughout the event.

SO MANY MOMENTS (Chloe Butler)-  Was inconvenienced in the early stages of the score-up when OUR ULTIMATE LUKA jibbed leaving the pre-race circle.

OUR ULTIMATE LUKA (Jonah Hutchinson) – Jibbed when leaving the pre-race circle, inconveniencing SO MANY MOMENTS (Chloe Butler). A warning was issued.
