General
Jack Chapple (Betterthan Popsy) was fined $200 under AHR rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that he shifted Betterthan Popsy wider on the track at the 300 metres when not clear of Elegant Grooves which caused that mare to be checked by its driver. In assessing the matter of penalty, Stewards took into account the good driving record of Jack Chapple and the degree of inconvenience which was deemed low range.

Trista Dixon was disappointed with the geldings performance on 29 October and subsequently had bloods analysed which revealed no abnormalities. Trista Dixon further explained she was disappointed with the performance tonight and it would be her intention to have the gelding subject to an endoscopic examination, the results of which she would inform Stewards. On this undertaking, no further action was taken other than to note Trista Dixons intentions.
GLENEAGLE VEE CEE – obtained an inside run at the 500 metres when Chicago Bart shifted out when leading.
CHICAGO BART – shifted out when leading despite the efforts of its driver which allowed sufficient racing room for Gleneagle Vee Cee to progress through safely. Chicago Bart will be required to complete a satisfactory trial before racing again.
