RACE 1 –TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1770 metres 

MYRUNA – Post-race swab. 

FLEUR BELLA – Hung inwards under pressure inside the final 100m. 

BARWEN STORM – Pre-race swab. Held up and failed to gain a clear run for the entire length of the home straight. 

TYABB WONDER – Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 1400m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of TYABB WONDER.

 

RACE 2 – MARTINS TRAVEL GROUP ALBURY PACE – 1770 metres 

SEEMESHINEYHEELS – Post-race swab. 

MAJOR MUCHA – Pre-race swab 

TESTARUDO – Held up over the latter stages of the event. Driver Blake Micallef was reminded of his obligations in applying the whip to the mare over the concluding stages of the event.

 

RACE 3 – DLG ALUMINIUM AND GLAZING PACE – 1770 metres 

ACHERON – ($5.50) Trainer/driver Brett Hogan was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 25m after racing three (3) back along the marker line. Mr Hogan advised ACHERON to be disappointing and could offer no tangible explanation for the performance. Mr Hogan advised he would consult with connections in regards to ACHERON racing future going forward. 

DIGYOURHEELSIN – ($6.50)Driver Blake Micallef was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 6th position beaten 12m after racing behind the leader throughout. Mr Micallef advised he was satisfied with the performance as DIGYOURHEELSIN is better suited when able to lead in races as the mare appears to be more one paced and is unable to sprint combined with the mare missing vital work over the past week with adverse weather conditions in the region.

CARMEN ON BLING – Pre race warm up.Driver Nic Horan was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 168(1)(a) for his lack of control in carelessly allowing the gelding to veer outwards upon entering the back straight on the first occasion when releasing the hopple shorteners.

IMPULSIVE GEORGE – ($5.00) Driver Jackson Painting was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th and last position beaten 31.4m. Mr Painting advised the gelding to be disappointing & attrubitted the performance to the gelding pulling hard throughout the event. Mr Painting added connections advised the gelding had an interrupted preparations the past week with adverse weather conditions in the region with IMPULSIVE GEORGE missing vital workouts. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

WOODLEA DIEGO NZ – ($13.00)Pre-race swab & Post-race swab. Driver John Scott was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 170(1)(a) for allowing his foot to drop below the foot rest when activating removable gear. Trainer Helen Scott was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the gelding compared to recent starts. Mrs Scott advised WOODLEA DIEGO NZ was having its first start under her care where the gelding had been working well leading up to the event which the stable was confident of a forward performance as WOODLEA DIEGO NZ was dropping in grade to recent starts. Mrs Scott added WOODLEA DIEGO NZ had been well performed when racing in Queensland when running much quicker mile rates compared to tonight’s event being recorded in 2.01.6. 


RACE 4 – DTD ENGINEERING LADYSHIP PACE – 1770 metres

General: Prior to the All Clear stewards reviewed the start in regards to INTHEBLINKOFANEYE Breaking gait and if SOPHIES SCOOTER which was following that runner if it was denied a fair start. After reviewing the available replays stewards were satisfied that INTHEBLINKOFANEYE had broken gait of its own accord simultaneously as the green light was effected& SOPHIES SCOOTER  was not checked until after the starttherefore INTHEBLINKOFANEYE & SOPHIES SCOOTER were both  afforded a fair start and the All Clear was declared. 

Stewards intend to speck with registered owner Mr Glen Teesdale in relation to comments he directed towards a Steward prior to the All Clear. This matter will be affixed to a time date to be advised.

ADIEU MIKENNIS – Pre-race swab. 

INTHEBLINKOFANEYE – Began badly as the start was effected checkingSOPHIES SCOOTERwhich was trailing. A warning was issued against INTHEBLINKOFANEYE barrier manners. 

SHES BEWITCHED – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event. Inconvenienced approaching the 150m whenMILLWOOD GRACE NZjostled and shifted outwards abruptly.

OUR STRATEGIC MISS – Held up and failed to gain a clear run. 

ISLAND BOUHINIA – Post-race swab 

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Driver Blake Micallef was issued a reprimand under 163(1)(a)(ii) for jostling with SHES BEWITCHED & the manner he shifted outwards approaching the 150m. Driver Blake Micallef was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the mare with more than a wrist flick action and with overt force.

SOPHIES SCOOTER – Checked shortly after the start was effected when INTHEBLINKOFANEYEbegan badly. Raced roughly at various stages of the event.

 

RACE 5 – ENJOY RETIREMENT JOHN LOWE PACE – 1770 metres 

ROCKNROLL TALLARA – ($26.00) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Codi Rauchenberger was queried into the tactics adopted upon the gelding in particular her decision to maintain the lead when challenged by JORGE STREET and the overall performance of the mare which finished in 8th and last position beaten 29.2m after leading. MsRauchenberger advised ROCKNROLL TALLARA performs best when able to lead in its races as the mare was dropping significantly in grade to recent starts as the mare was racing simular opposition to when it last won when leading at Cobram 11th April 2024. Ms Rauchenberger advised ROCKNROLL TALLARA provided to be extremely disappointing and was at a loss to explain the performance other than the mare to possibly to be displaying soreness in the hocks and it would be her intentions to have the mare examined by her veterinarian in the ensuring days. A post-race veterinary failed to reveal any abnormalities. Steward’s intent to follow up on the progress of ROCKNROLL TALLARA in the coming days. 

JORGE STREET – Post-race swab. 

HONEST HARRIETTE – Broke gait clear of interference rounding the first turn. A warning was issued against the racing manners of HONEST HARRIETTE. 

MISS EXCLUSIVE – Raced roughly entering the first turn. Raced roughly passing the 400m.

 

RACE 6 – APCO IGA NORTH ALBURY & WEST WODONGA PACE – 1770 metres 

MOREARTSTHANCLASS – Checked and taken back through the field passing the 600m when ISLAS JOY NZyielded ground rapidly. 

CRAFTY OLD FOX –Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.  

DIDNT I – Post-race swab. 

BETTOR A GIRL – Held up and failed to gain clear running.

ISLAS JOY NZ – ($21.00)Pre-race swab. Raced fiercely during the early & middle stages of the event before yielding ground rapidly from the 600m to finish in 9th and last position beaten 181.7m. ISLAS JOY NZ will now be stood down from racing until trailing to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 

MISSDEHEIR – ($5.50) Trainer/driver Jackson Painting was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 7th position beaten 19.9m. Mr Painting advised MISSDEHEIR pulled slightly during the middle stages of the event however provided to be disappointing. Mr Painting advised he would consult with connections to the racing future of MISSDEHEIR within his stable going forward.

 

RACE 7 – COROWA CHAFF MILL PACE – 1770 metres 

MYLA GIRL – Gave ground over the final 300m to finish in 8th position beaten 43.7m. 

TINTINS TREASURE – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab. 

EASTBRO DANI – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. Took no competitive part in the event thereafter. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of EASTBRO DANI. 

TASSIE SAFARI – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 8 – CARTWRIGHTS CIVIL AND CONTRACTING PACE – 1770 metres 

ULTIMATE ME NZ –Broke gait clear of interference on two (2) separate occasions approaching the 1500m & 700m. ULTIMATE ME NZ will now be stood down from racing untiltrailing to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. 

GOLDEN REASON – Post-race swab.

FRIENDS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having attaining the age of 12 years old. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Checked approaching the 1500m when ULTIMATE ME NZ broke gait. 

SHERMAN – Held up and failed to gain clear running. 

SPECIAL MEANING – Pre-race swab. 

OLLY ODD POTTS – Inconvenienced approaching the 1500m when ULTIMATE ME NZ broke gait. 

NIFTY JOLT – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Checked approaching the 1500m when ULTIMATE ME NZ broke gait.
