VIC - HRV Stewards Industry Notice - Post-Race Requirement

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards remind all licensees of their obligations to ensure that, they and any horse they are responsible for, must remain on-course for at least 30 minutes after the completion of a race in which they competed in. Should any person and/or horse leave inside of the prescribed time, the responsible person/s may be subject to penalty.

Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 43A states the following:

Licensed Persons Reporting Before Leaving Course 

43A.   (1)      A driver, trainer or person in charge of a horse engaged in a race and the horse shall remain on the racecourse for at least 30 minutes after the race unless permission to leave is granted by the Stewards.

           (2)      A person who fails to comply with sub-rule (1) is guilty of an offence.
