AN ACT of God appears to be the only factor capable of preventing Regal Attire from capturing his fourth consecutive Cup.

In devastating form, the Ryan Hryhorec-trained gelding is undefeated from four starts this season, including Cups during his last three outings.

Overcoming 30-metre handicaps in the Fred Jones and Strathalbyn Trotters' Cups, Regal Attire then shrugged off a 40-metre backmark to secure the Ladbrokes Trotters' Cup at Globe Derby a fortnight ago.

"He is in terrific condition and is racing accordingly," Hryhorec said. "I couldn't be happier with the way he is going and can't see any reason why that will stop."

Kept "ticking along nicely" since his previous outing, the son of Muscle Mass will once again begin from the 40-metre line in today's Gawler Cup.

Despite giving his closest rivals - his stablemate, Aldebaran Dexta, and My Used To Be - a 20-metre start, Regal Attire is a $1.30 favourite.

Co-trained by Jill Neilson and Katie Wilson, My Used To Be is the only other runner under double figures at $6.50.

Gaita Pullicino will take the reins behind Regal Attire, with Hryhorec to partner Aldebaran Dexta.

"It is never easy coming off 40 metres, but the Cup is over 2550, so he has plenty of time to catch the field," Hryhorec said.

"He came off the same mark against a similar field last time and did it easily enough, so there is no reason why he won't do it again."
