Hunter Valley horseman Clayton Harmey reached a milestone last week at Newcastle and today his driver Grace Panella is chasing her own.

Harmey trained his 1000th winner at Newcastle last Friday when Mitsi Gaynor was successful and today at the same venue, Panella is looking for her 100th winner.

Panella has five drives across the program, four of which are for Harmey.

The 20-year-old will start the meeting on 99 career winners.

It has been a big year for Panella currently sitting on a personal best 64 wins for the season so far.

Panella also represented NSW in the Australian Drivers’ Championship at Globe Derby, South Australia, in September as well as competing in the Mates4Harness Young Stars Invitational race at Menangle’s Breeders Challenge feature meeting last Saturday week.
