Leading trainer Ben Yole continued his domination of Tasmanian racing when he prepared five winners in Launceston on Friday night, where he presented a large team of his stable.

Well-travelled reinsman Corey Bell had his first drive since arriving in the state and joining the Yole stable in the opening race aboard $5 chance Brian Who.

The gelded son of Courage Under Fire settled one-out and two-back before being produced three-wide, turning for home to sprint home best to score by a half-head over Hez A Fake, who was flashing through along the inside late.

Bell rounded out his first Tasmanian meeting with a double when he scored on $18 hope The Dude, who took all the shortcuts later in the night.

Concession reinsman Mitch Ford moved within six wins of Conor Crook on the state drivers’ title after he drove a double late on the card.

Mitch partnered Dapper to his second win of the season before scoring a last stride win with Tee Jay Cee later in the night.

Yole also prepared Kenya to victory in the second race on the card, which saw the winning reinsman Nathan Ford suspended.

If that wasn’t enough for the Yole stable, they prepared six winners for the night with Good Feelings scoring at Geelong.

Rohan Hillier also had a good night at the office with a driving treble.

Hillier scored on the Kristy Butler-trained Alta Cassino, who led all the way to score at his second outing in the state before partnering, Seventhreeohseven from the Brett Jaffray stable to a first-up win.

His last leg of his treble came from Montana Storm, who he also trains.

The gelded son of Bettors Delight is building up an impressive record since arriving in Australia, with Friday’s victory taking his career record to seven wins from 17 starts.

Despite being placed behind open-class pacers Sunny Sanz and Be Major Threat at his last outing, as much as $4.20 was offered in the 65 to 74 event, and it was no surprise to see the promising four-year-old start as the $2.80 favourite.
