Former Harness Racing Australia (HRA) Executive Members Mr Bob Lette (Queensland) and Mr Grant Goodall (South Australia) have been awarded the Harness Racing Australia (HRA) Distinguished National Service Award for their outstanding service and contributions to the Australian harness racing industry.

The Distinguished National Service Award recognises important achievement, substantive effort, enterprise, endeavour, creativity and professional excellence on a national basis over a long period of time.
Currently a Director of Racing Queensland Limited (RQL), Mr Lette is a former Chairman of both the Albion Park Harness Racing Club (APHRC) and Harness Racing Queensland (HRQ).  His contribution nationally included roles as an Accredited State Representative of HRA and the Inter Dominion Harness Racing Council (IDHRC) from 2003 until 2010, including five years on the HRA Executive as Deputy Chairman.
Mr Goodall stepped down in August this year after serving on the HRA Executive since 2009. He also served almost 8 years as Chairman of Harness Racing South Australia (HRSA), during which time he was also HRSA’s Accredited State Representative to the national body.
HRA Chairman Mr Want said the Executive and Members were delighted to recognise both Mr Lette and Mr Goodall for their lasting contribution to the national harness racing industry.
“These Awards are a well deserved acknowledgement by everyone in the industry for the exceptional effort and service of these two gentlemen," Mr Want said.
