Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

Hitting the board in five of eight for the season to date, IGNITE (4) should maybe have more than the one win in those five hits. Runner-up to MAJESTIC BREEZE two starts back, he was sent forward last start but could not get near the winner. He can get forward to capitalise this time.

CASCATA (8) got it all wrong last start and was banished to the trials for the indiscretion. Eight weeks between runs heading into that contest, she has been to the trials three times to earn the return. The effort two starts back was solid after working and this is within reach.

NO REMORSE (7) chased home for the silver last start behind VOLTAIN, making some metres in the closing stages. A safe start will assist his claims.

ITZ TRIXTON TIME (5) has finished midfield from the same handicap in recent starts, without looking threatening. Positioning cheaply, he might just grab some minor money in this.

SELECTIONS: IGNITE (4), CASCATA (8), NO REMORSE (7), ITZ TRIXTON TIME (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IGNITE (4) to win

RACE TWO

The drop back from Saturday night company to this grade can be the catalyst for SWEET ADDITION (7) to recapture some winning form. Beaten 3m behind DAISY DIANA in a mare’s contest last start, the effort two back was solid behind ZAHRA LOU. She can defy the gate.

FRANCO MACHO (3) has been runner-up at the past two appearances, the latest when trying to take them all the way over this same trip. Setting the tempo, he was best of the rest as JUST A COOL DUDE descended and pulled clear to an 11m margin. He can throw it down again.

JEAKAMIAS (4) finished over the top of them two starts back from a second line gate to post a 5m margin. Holding on for 3rd last start in a qualifier behind HUXTON, he can feature again here.

KRAFTY CANDY (1) steps up in grade but has the mapping favours here and can be tucked away ready to offer after an economical trip.

SELECTIONS: SWEET ADDITION (7), FRANCO MACHO (3), JEAKAMIAS (4), KRAFTY CANDY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET ADDITION (7) to win

RACE THREE

Starting from inside the second line last time out, MIKI MOO (9) was buried away and then against tempo was always facing a task with IMA BOOTY SHAKER dictating from the front. Resuming from 12 months off the scene with a Newcastle victory three back, she can capitalise here.

DUKE OF ARGYLL (7) still has a bit to learn and comes into this following a last start error that saw him banished to the trials. Forced to tick off two trials, they were against some stronger opponents and if he can put it together, it would be no surprise to see him take the prize here.

LUCKY LUDA (8) will take further benefit from her latest outing which was her second run back from a spell. Chasing home some handy ones in both runs, a soft trip here can see her chime in.

WILPEKA (5) won on debut at Redcliffe when working forward in the middle stages to the breeze before pulling clear to a 17m margin. This is the next step, but she cannot be underestimated.

SELECTIONS: MIKI MOO (9), DUKE OF ARGYLL (7), LUCKY LUDA (8), WILPEKA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MIKI MOO (9) to win

RACE FOUR

Two for two since arriving in the Sunshine State, PRINCESS ARNA (7) will need to take another step from the outside gate here. Slapped with the ODM embargo following a last start error when causing a false start, she scored effortlessly in smart time on the retake. Anything near the 1.53.7 first up win will have her complete the threepeat.

MULLUM DOC (1) has hit the board in five of eight for the season, the latest when sent to the front over this trip from gate 4. Trying to fend off the challengers in the stretch, bronze was the best he could achieve as B MAC C arrived. The gate is a huge asset to his chances.

GRACENAVA (2) has hit some form with two wins from the past three starts. Finding running line cover from gate 6 last start, she arrived in the last strides over 2138 and can feature again.

AMILLIONCHANCES (8) scored three starts back when presenting from the 1x1 trail and getting past the field to post a 4m margin. Just a half-neck away at his next outing, he will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: PRINCESS ARNA (7), MULLUM DOC (1), GRACENAVA (2), AMILLIONCHANCES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PRINCESS ARNA (7) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky race to decipher where the gate should SIGNOR JUJON (2) to hold a running line position. Sent to the breeze last start at Redcliffe, he was just behind the placings after the tough trip. Still looking to make a top three for the first time this year, he is worth a chance.

LETS GO BAILEY (10) started from this same gate last start at 2138 and made a late rally to grab the bronze and be under 2m from the winner GRACENAVA. Not suited at Redcliffe the start prior when asked to work in the run, some cover and tempo can see him issue a challenge here.

MAJOR LINCOLN (9) faced a second line gate when chasing home PRINCESS ARNA here two starts back in a UDC heat. 8m from the winner at Redcliffe last time, he is a podium player in this.

GIDUP CAPTAIN (3) has placed in three of his past five, the latest when starting in red figures from gate 4 at Redcliffe. 5m from the winner ROLLONX, he can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: SIGNOR JUJON (2), LETS GO BAILEY (10), MAJOR LINCOLN (9), GIDUP CAPTAIN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LETS GO BAILEY (10) win/place

RACE SIX

WESTERN BILL (4) found suitable conditions here last week and after being exposed early, secured the 1x1 trail before making the closing play a winning one with a 5m margin. Strong to the line at Redcliffe the start prior, he can find position early and chase a repeat.

ROCKTIME (7) is given no favours from the car park, but he comes into this with two wins and a 2nd from his past three starts. Dictating from the front at Redcliffe last time, he was luckless when 4m from the winner after being buried off the inside second line two back. He can challenge.

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (8) will be requiring some luck at some stage to find open space and make a closing raid. Buried last time from this same gate, he will be searching for the openings.

BORSELLINO (3) was not suited when asked to work in the early stages last time out and faded late to finish rearward behind CAPTAINS PICK. Limiting the early burn can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN BILL (4), ROCKTIME (7), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (8), BORSELLINO (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  WESTERN BILL (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Resuming from a spell to kick off his 5YO term, the talented CHARGE AHEAD (6) finds a suitable midweek assignment as the starting point. Last seen when forced to work when tackling the Stockade at Menangle, he contested all the 4YO features on offer last season and after a steady preparatory trial behind THE JANITOR can strike fresh.

MOONSHINER (4) gives away plenty of experience to his rivals but has the gate to look to press forward. Making an error here last week and finishing at the rear, the start prior was a tidy effort when under 6m from the talented FINAL DEADLINE. He has the gate to throw down a challenge.

COMMODORE JUJON (4) was faced with gate 6 at Redcliffe last start and sent to the post as fav was game in defeat after sitting parked and finishing under 2m from the winner. He is never far away.

AMAMI (9) was sent forward in the middle stages from a second line gate at 2138 last time out and was game to the wire. Following through early, he is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: CHARGE AHEAD (6), MOONSHINER (4), COMMODORE JUJON (4), AMAMI (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARGE AHEAD (6) to win
