Form Analysis by Craig Rail
Race 1:
OVERVIEW: BETTORSWEETVICTORY (8) has been placed in four of her past five starts and is ready to break through for a win. She showed good gate speed to lead, took cover and finished well via the sprint lane when second behind Deuce Coupe in a stronger race last week. FLEXI BET (2) pushed forward to find the lead and won comfortably at Cobram last outing. She is a good chance of finding the lead again and will take catching. MURIEL (1) was able to defeat Tophut Johny (won since) via the sprint lane three starts ago and is drawn to trail the leader again so she is worth an investment. FOUR STARZZZ RUBY (6) led throughout to win comfortably at Echuca last week and has claims along with STAR CONNECTION (9).
EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 1,5,6
SELECTIONS: BETTORSWEETVICTORY (8), FLEXI BET (2), MURIEL (1), FOUR STARZZZ RUBY (6)
RATINGS: 2,8/ 1/ 6/ 9/ 7,10
SUGGESTED BET: BETTORSWEETVICTORY (8) each way
Race 2:
OVERVIEW: WALLIS (7) has been promising a win for some time and strikes a suitable assignment now. He met a much stronger field when a close up fourth after trailing the leader at Melton last outing. ATTRACTED (9) has shown promise at his two starts to date and was runner up in handy time at Cobram last time out so he must be considered as a winning chance. RASENGAN (10) raced without cover for the trip and battled on well for second at Maryborough last outing. It was a career best run last outing so he is worth an investment. MADGE EGAN (2) finished off solidly for a close second at Echuca last outing and is worth thought from her good draw.
EARLY SPEED: 3 (possible leader), 2,7
SELECTIONS: WALLIS (7), ATTRACTED (9), RASENGAN (10), MADGE EGAN (2)
RATINGS: 7/ 9/ 2,10/ 3,4,8

Race 3:
OVERVIEW: ALDEBARAN DEMI (6) has returned from a spell in peak form and is ready to break through for a win. She worked hard and finished third behind TICTOK (9) then worked home well behind Aldebaran Brooke in a strong race at Melton last outing. TICTOK (9) is a tough mare that has been placed in six of her past seven starts (3 wins) and scored comfortably after working forward to find the lead last outing. She is likely to be driven aggressively again and should prove hard to beat. QUAKE PROOF (8) has been freshened since his latest eighth at Melton and he finished off nicely at a Bendigo trial effort last week against strong opposition so he is worth a ticket each way. COUNTESS CHIRON (1) is a fast beginner and finished second after trailing the leader at Melton last week so she is a place chance again.
EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely early leader), 4,6
SELECTIONS: ALDEBARAN DEMI (6), TICTOK (9), QUAKE PROOF (8), COUNTESS CHIRON (1)
RATINGS: 6,9/ 8/ 1/ 7
SUGGESTED BET: ALDEBARAN DEMI (6) to win
Race 4:
OVERVIEW: NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (5) continues to race consistently having been placed at her past six starts and deserves to break through for a win. She led out, took cover and missed out narrowly behind Machane Said at Maryborough last outing. NOSWEETSFORYOU (7) is a strong mare that should be reaching her peak form after having two starts back from a break and she will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment. She endured a hard run when fourth behind Snow Hunter in a mile rate of 1.55.9 at Terang last outing. OZZIE JOYBELL (3) progressed forward to find the lead and scored in a career best mile rate of 1.56.0 at Melton last outing. She should be competitive again under these conditions. PARISIAN ART (1) impressed in winning a maiden at her debut, where she raced without cover throughout. This race is much harder but she is worth thought again.
EARLY SPEED: 5 (possible leader), 1,3,4,
SELECTIONS: NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (5), NOSWEETSFORYOU (7), OZZIE JOYBELL (3), PARISIAN ART (1)
RATINGS: 5/ 3,7/ 1/ 4/ 2,6
SUGGESTED BET: NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (5) each way
Race 5:
OVERVIEW: FULLOFFIGHT (6) broke at the start and was a clear last early before settling on the markers and working home stylishly for an eye-catching fourth at Melton last week. He has had a lot of chances since coming from New Zealand but his last run was encouraging. ANYWHEREHUGOIGO (7) was resuming since October when seventh at Cobram last week. He won at his debut then competed in a strong heat of the Breeders Challenge in New South Wales during his first campaign of racing so he has ability and is worth an investment. MAGICAFTERMIDNIGHT (4) commenced from the outside of the second line and circled around the field from last to park without cover when a creditable fifth at Terang. She should be fitter from that run and is better drawn so she is worth an investment. SPORTS CHARM (1) and HURRICANE HUGO (2) are both capable of figuring in the finish from their good draw.
EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 1,4
SELECTIONS: FULLOFFIGHT (6), ANYWHEREHUGOIGO (7), MAGICAFTERMIDNIGHT (4), SPORTS CHARM (1)
RATINGS: 6/ 4,7/ 1/ 2/ 3/ 5
SUGGESTED BET: FULLOFFIGHT (6) each way
Race 6:
OVERVIEW: VELVETNLACE (1) was a maiden from 36 starts prior to her past four attempts, where she has won three! She led throughout and won clearly when starting from the pole position three starts ago so she must be given a winning chance again. MAJESTIC GA GA (5) settled midfield on the outside and finished off best when she scored over Lots of Change at Melton last outing. She is meeting a field of similar quality here so she is worth thought again. STICK WITH ME (4) finished off well from a rearward position when second behind Dossier at Kilmore last outing. She has performed consistently since returning from a spell and deserves to break through for a win. DAISY BOUCHEA (3) used the pole position to her advantage when she led throughout to score at Terang two starts ago. She struck trouble last outing and is worth thought again.
EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 3,5
SELECTIONS: VELVETNLACE (1), MAJESTIC GA GA (5), STICK WITH ME (4), DAISY BOUCHEA (3)
RATINGS: 1/ 5/ 3,4/ 2/ 6
SUGGESTED BET: VELVETNCLACE (1) to win
Race 7:
OVERVIEW: WILD IDEAL (5) showed promise with a strong second at her debut then followed with unplaced efforts in a heat and the Final of the Homegrown Classic series. She will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and should go close. TAP TO PAY (2) trailed the leader and tried hard when third behind Starzinhereyes at Echuca last outing. She drops back into a Maiden event now and she is ideally drawn so she must be considered as a winning chance. FUEGO CRUZADO (3) is resuming since a debut fourth in April and hasn’t been to the trials recently. She did win a trial at Maryborough in May so she does have ability and must be kept safe. SKADI (1) gained a nice trail and battled into third at Mildura last outing. She is drawn to receive every chance so she must be considered as a place chance again.
EARLY SPEED: 5 (likely leader), 1,2
SELECTIONS: WILD IDEAL (5), TAP TO PAY (2), FUEGO CRUZADO (3), SKADI (1)
RATINGS: 5/ 2,3/ 1/ 6/ 4
SUGGESTED BET: WILD IDEAL (5) to win
