A wide-open qualifier to open the night where early mapping will be key if ZOOM PARTY (8) is going to get his chance to take a shot. Darting home on the passing last time on The Triangle, he will be probing the gaps here and if they arrive in time, he is up to the task.

RACE TWO
Chasing a hat-trick in the Peak of The Creek Final, BETTERTHAN POPSY (2) was shuffled to three back on the inside and despite getting out in plenty of time, had to settle for the silver behind big winner, ATTACHMENT. From this gate, he can secure the trip to finish hard.

RACE THREE
Collared in the last strides here last week, CHYNCHILLA (2) had been sent forward soon after the start to take the front off AARDIE B MIKI but could not hold that filly off in the closing stages. Putting four on end leading into that, she can bounce back here to dictate.
TAY TAY (4) was under 3m from the winner RAKERO REBEL last start in the Queen of the Pacific at Melton, Winning the mares open here three starts back in smart fashion from outside the front line, she has the class to throw down the challenge.

SELECTIONS: CHYNCHILLA (2), TAY TAY (4), ILLAVABUBBLES (10), THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CHYNCHILLA (2) to win
RACE FOUR
With one run back from a spell, DUKE OF SCOTLAND (8) was making good metres in that outing when chasing home ALWAYS SMOKIN in a sub 50 mile. Strong to the line at his last run last campaign when runner-up, he will need the gap in time, but once it opens, eh can dart through.

WATERMELON SUGAR (3) should appreciate a return to this company after facing much tougher opposition in recent starts. Under 10m away in FFA company last start, he is in the mix.
MYNAMESEVAN (1) tackled a 70Final last start when stepping up in grade and lifting after looking a spent force in the stretch, was able to hold on. He will be gripping on again.
SELECTIONS: DUKE OF SCOTLAND (8), GLOVER (2), WATERMELON SUGAR (3), MYNAMESEVAN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DUKE OF SCOTLAND (8) to win
RACE FIVE
BLACKSADANCE (3) savaged the line here last week in the sprint race for 2nd when resuming from a spell. A winner in front over this trip with a sub 54 close out two starts back, if he can bully his way to the front, he will take some stopping.
JIMARTEE (1) was out of the pack and trying to eat into the deficit here last week when just missing the money behind WASA HEAT SEEKER. At risk of being snookered, he will be searching for open space and fitter from the first up run last week, can look to issue a challenge.
ALWAYS SMOKIN (4) broke the 1.50 barrier at the mile last start when power running them from the front with a 4m margin. Missing last week, he may need to roll the sleeves here.
CURLY JAMES (8) looks set to be buried in the run and will need a big rub of the green to get open space in time to make his play. Runner-up in the Victoria Cup last start, he just needs luck.
SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (3), ALWAYS SMOKIN (4), JIMARTEE (1), CURLY JAMES (8)

RACE SIX
A scratching out of the DJA Final back in July, ROYAL DAN (3) has not been sighted under race conditions since. A heat winner of that series, he has been back to the trials at Menangle where he produced a nice piece of work. He can look to capitalise fresh.

Taken to Victoria for a shot at their Derby, THE JANITOR (3) found himself too far back in the run from an inside second line gate and against the tempo just could not get into it. A winner at his previous two appearances, he can press forward here to cash in.
IRON CLAD (8) held on for the bronze in the NSW Breeders Challenge Final last start when settled in the trail and finishing 3m astern of the winner. The inside second line makes this a tricky assignment, but if the gap arrives in time, he can take his shot.
ATTACHMENT (6) swept the Peak of The Creek with a big heat win from gate 7 and then took them all the way and pulled clear to a big win in the final. The gate stings, but he is in this.
GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (9) was runner-up last start when looking to complete a hat-trick of victories. Saved for one run, he can be chasing a podium finish.

RACE NINE
Tackling the older mares last week, AARDIE B MIKI (1) pressed the button early, released CHYHNCHILLA, then gassed her in the stretch to claim a half-neck margin. Stopping the clock in 1.50.8, she is back to her own age here and from the gate will be too slippery.
SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (8) overcame the outside gate last start after easing to find position and then finishing strongly and post an 8m margin. Making an error the start prior but still producing a big performance, she can trail the speed and look to mounts some form of closing challenge.
SOAP OPERA (2) returns from a NSW campaign that culminated in a third in the Breeders Challenge Final from a tough gate. From this gate, she can look to grab some minor money.
MY LATIN LADY (3) made it back-to-back wins last time out when finishing strongly to score. Limiting the early burn will be key to her chances.

DANGERZONE (5) eased across from gate 6 last start and was trying to chime in late, grabbing the bronze when 6m from ARODA. He can be thereabouts again here.
MYMATEPOG (4) tackled the Be Good Johnny Sprint last start when midfield behind WASA HEAT SEEKER. Positioning cheaply can see him fill a podium here.
