Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

A wide-open qualifier to open the night where early mapping will be key if ZOOM PARTY (8) is going to get his chance to take a shot. Darting home on the passing last time on The Triangle, he will be probing the gaps here and if they arrive in time, he is up to the task.

SMOOTH OVERARM (1) lands all the favours off the inside gate as he looks to convert his Redcliffe form here on the big deck. Runner-up four runs back when 3m from the winner, he is a last start winner in easier company with the improved gate a big plus.

ROCKNPENNY (3) was locked away three back on the inside from gate 2 last time and making a late raid was under 2m from the winner. Settling handy, he can be close enough to feature.

RACING TIME (4) brings some handy form from the Central West of NSW, including a smart win at Eugowra three runs back. He has the gate to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ZOOM PARTY (8), SMOOTH OVERARM (1), ROCKNPENNY (3), RACING TIME (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ZOOM PARTY (8) to win

RACE TWO

Chasing a hat-trick in the Peak of The Creek Final, BETTERTHAN POPSY (2) was shuffled to three back on the inside and despite getting out in plenty of time, had to settle for the silver behind big winner, ATTACHMENT. From this gate, he can secure the trip to finish hard.

BOMBADIER JUJON (9) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when holding on for the bronze along the passing lane behind HIRANYA. Runner-up behind ARODA two starts back, he can follow through early to issue the closing challenge.

MOSSDALE TERRY (8) was unable to fend off the challengers last start when 3rd after starting deep into the red. At risk of being buried, he will be probing for open road.

SUNDAY MORNINGS (3) overcame the outside second line last start when powering up in the latter stages to arrive. From this gate, he can do the work to feature.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHAN POPSY (2), BOMBADIER JUJON (9), MOSSDALE TERRY (8), SUNDAY MORNINGS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHAN POPSY (2) to win

RACE THREE

Collared in the last strides here last week, CHYNCHILLA (2) had been sent forward soon after the start to take the front off AARDIE B MIKI but could not hold that filly off in the closing stages. Putting four on end leading into that, she can bounce back here to dictate.

TAY TAY (4) was under 3m from the winner RAKERO REBEL last start in the Queen of the Pacific at Melton, Winning the mares open here three starts back in smart fashion from outside the front line, she has the class to throw down the challenge.
ILLAVABUBBLES (10) was under 4m from TAY TAY here three starts back and has tackled strong open mares events at Menangle and Melton since. Despite a tough gate, she will be in the mix.

THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6) returns from a mixed Sydney campaign where she claimed a win and two placings in six starts. The gate stings her winning chances.

SELECTIONS: CHYNCHILLA (2), TAY TAY (4), ILLAVABUBBLES (10), THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CHYNCHILLA (2) to win

RACE FOUR

With one run back from a spell, DUKE OF SCOTLAND (8) was making good metres in that outing when chasing home ALWAYS SMOKIN in a sub 50 mile. Strong to the line at his last run last campaign when runner-up, he will need the gap in time, but once it opens, eh can dart through.

GLOVER (2) had the early speed to set the tempo here three starts back before being grabbed close to the line behind ARODA. Beaten by gate 6 last start behind HIRANYA, he can get handy from this gate to issue a challenge.

WATERMELON SUGAR (3) should appreciate a return to this company after facing much tougher opposition in recent starts. Under 10m away in FFA company last start, he is in the mix.

MYNAMESEVAN (1) tackled a 70Final last start when stepping up in grade and lifting after looking a spent force in the stretch, was able to hold on. He will be gripping on again.

SELECTIONS: DUKE OF SCOTLAND (8), GLOVER (2), WATERMELON SUGAR (3), MYNAMESEVAN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DUKE OF SCOTLAND (8) to win

RACE FIVE

BLACKSADANCE (3) savaged the line here last week in the sprint race for 2nd when resuming from a spell. A winner in front over this trip with a sub 54 close out two starts back, if he can bully his way to the front, he will take some stopping.

JIMARTEE (1) was out of the pack and trying to eat into the deficit here last week when just missing the money behind WASA HEAT SEEKER. At risk of being snookered, he will be searching for open space and fitter from the first up run last week, can look to issue a challenge.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (4) broke the 1.50 barrier at the mile last start when power running them from the front with a 4m margin. Missing last week, he may need to roll the sleeves here.

CURLY JAMES (8) looks set to be buried in the run and will need a big rub of the green to get open space in time to make his play. Runner-up in the Victoria Cup last start, he just needs luck.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (3), ALWAYS SMOKIN (4), JIMARTEE (1), CURLY JAMES (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

A scratching out of the DJA Final back in July, ROYAL DAN (3) has not been sighted under race conditions since. A heat winner of that series, he has been back to the trials at Menangle where he produced a nice piece of work. He can look to capitalise fresh.

TOP OF THE MOMENT (1) was buried last start and when the gap presented, sprouted wings in the stretch to arrive for a smart win. Striking trouble the start prior, he broke his duck from behind the start car here three starts back when darting through on the passing lane.

VICTREE HILL (8) powered home over the top of them here last week to claim a 7m margin. With the chance of a cheap run, he can be searching for the gaps to chime in over the latter stages.

FUNNY FACE (2) produced a nice return here last time out when hitting the line in good order for the bronze behind ZEALOUS SPUR. An improved gate will assist her chances of featuring.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL DAN (3), TOP OF THE MOMENT (1), VICTREE HILL (8), FUNNY FACE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL DAN (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

A newcomer to the Jason Grimson stable, COMPETE (4) will also be returning from a let up. Last sighted when down the line in the VICBRED 4YO final, he was runner-up in a heat of that series three starts back. Lightly raced, he can look to cash in here first up.

COMMODORE JUJON (9) eased to the poles from the wide gate in the Peak of The Creek Final here last week and then never went around a horse to grab 3rd. Making good metres to grab the bronze in the heat behind ATTACHMENT, he can be following through early to challenge late.

MAJIC MOMENT (2) has worked her way back into form, hitting the board at her past four in succession, which includes a pair of wins over the 2138m. With early hustle, she can feature.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (3) could not get warm last start behind ATTACHMENT after being faced with the outside second line An improved gate will assist here.

SELECTIONS: COMPETE (4), COMMODORE JUJON (9), MAJIC MOMENT (2), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPETE (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

Taken to Victoria for a shot at their Derby, THE JANITOR (3) found himself too far back in the run from an inside second line gate and against the tempo just could not get into it. A winner at his previous two appearances, he can press forward here to cash in.

IRON CLAD (8) held on for the bronze in the NSW Breeders Challenge Final last start when settled in the trail and finishing 3m astern of the winner. The inside second line makes this a tricky assignment, but if the gap arrives in time, he can take his shot.

ATTACHMENT (6) swept the Peak of The Creek with a big heat win from gate 7 and then took them all the way and pulled clear to a big win in the final. The gate stings, but he is in this.

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (9) was runner-up last start when looking to complete a hat-trick of victories. Saved for one run, he can be chasing a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: THE JANITOR (3), IRON CLAD (8), ATTACHMENT (6), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: THE JANITOR (3) to win

RACE NINE

Tackling the older mares last week, AARDIE B MIKI (1) pressed the button early, released CHYHNCHILLA, then gassed her in the stretch to claim a half-neck margin. Stopping the clock in 1.50.8, she is back to her own age here and from the gate will be too slippery.

SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (8) overcame the outside gate last start after easing to find position and then finishing strongly and post an 8m margin. Making an error the start prior but still producing a big performance, she can trail the speed and look to mounts some form of closing challenge.

SOAP OPERA (2) returns from a NSW campaign that culminated in a third in the Breeders Challenge Final from a tough gate. From this gate, she can look to grab some minor money.

MY LATIN LADY (3) made it back-to-back wins last time out when finishing strongly to score. Limiting the early burn will be key to her chances.

SELECTIONS: AARDIE B MIKI (1), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (8), SOAP OPERA (2), MY LATIN LADY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 8 / 2-3

RACE TEN

A winner in two of his past three appearances, MR MCLAREN (1) secures the prefect gate to add another win to the tally. Stopping the clock in a 1.51.8 PB last start at the mile, three back he took control over this middle trip and dictated with a sub 55 close out.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (2) can look to dart straight in behind and secure the soft trip behind the speed. Beaten by the outside second line last start when midfield, he was 8m from the winner ARODA two runs back. A softer trip can see him issue a closing shot.

DANGERZONE (5) eased across from gate 6 last start and was trying to chime in late, grabbing the bronze when 6m from ARODA. He can be thereabouts again here.

MYMATEPOG (4) tackled the Be Good Johnny Sprint last start when midfield behind WASA HEAT SEEKER. Positioning cheaply can see him fill a podium here.

SELECTIONS: MR MCLAREN (1), BETTERTHANAROCKET (2), DANGERZONE (5), MYMATEPOG (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MR MCLAREN (1) to win
