OVERVIEW: LOCHINVAR SON (6) is a progressive 3yo that is still learning his craft and was doing his best work late last start. Gets his chance to break his maiden status. MAJESTIC PARTY BOY (5) was brave in defeat last start when chasing hard and finishing runner up. Can threaten again. SKY LINDY (3) has been showing speed but failing to hold off the challengers in recent starts. Can give a sight again. HILLWINSOME (4) is never far away from the placings and has claims again whilst GREAT HORIZON (1) strips fitter along with ALABAMA MAY (7) and are first four hopes.

Race 2:
OVERVIEW: TENASEA WHISKEY (1) terrific run at his race debut and beaten by a smart type. Sure, to have benefited from that race experience and can run a bold race again here. FARROKH (3) both starts have been encouraging and he hasn’t been far away. Does show gate speed and back to the sprint trip here. One of the main chances. THE ITALIAN DREAM (5) had her admirers at her race debut and made-up ground from well back. Sure to be improved by that run and must be respected. BOOT LEGGING (10) should appreciate getting back to the mobile and does have ability. Not out of it. OLD DOMINION (6) shows talent and improving with racing. Can’t be dismissed. TIARA GIRL (11) did things wrong last start but wasn’t disgraced at her first two starts. First four hope. The first starters KYVALLEY JOYRIDE (8) is a well bred colt from the Brent Lilley stable and from his nice trailing draw should be in this for a long way. TRIXIE (2) nicely bred filly that will be well prepared for her race debut and will improve from the race experience. FRIKSHYN (9) has won a recent trial in good fashion. Watch with great interest. KISS AT MIDNIGHT (7) debutante in the astute in the Tyrone Abela stable and is showing good progress at the trials.

Race 3:
OVERVIEW: IKIGAI (7) has been racing well against good company and despite the wide draw is of the main chances. LINK IN BIO (6) talented filly that has early speed and can race handy. Looks well placed here and looks a major chance. NO TELLING HEATHER (3) underrated filly with good ability and if she can settle handy, she’s right in the mix. KEAYANG GYPSY (8) lightly raced filly that continues to show improvement and is amongst the chances. CENTURION DREAM (5) will find this easier than recent starts and can’t be dismissed. THIRD EYE (4) DALEY WATERS (9) MAGIC LAW (1) WITH APLOMB (2) have all shown ability and capable of getting into the placings and first fours with suitable trips.

Race 4:
OVERVIEW: THUNDA STRUCK (2) lightly raced 3yo taking on some older and more experienced trotters in this but does have the gate speed to be well placed. Does have the ability to be in this finish. GEE CEE CALDER (11) has never raced better and is airborne. Despite facing a second row draw he should still prove hard to hold out. NAKEDTRUTH (3) speedy trotter that will be prominent throughout and is amongst the main chances. HADTOBEHARRY (8) he gets a nice trailing draw and won’t be far away. FOUROUTOFFIVE (5) he looked a good thing beaten last start and despite meeting tougher opposition, he can’t be dismissed. KYVALLEYHONEYBUNNY (6) has been doing her best work late in recent starts and can’t be ignored. Both QUAKE PROOF (4) and IM BOBBY (7) are talented trotters and are always capable of causing an upset.

OVERVIEW: JUST BELIEVE (5) champion trotter that never looks like buckling under the relentless pressure and challengers that keep coming his way. That’s why he’s a champion! The one to beat. ARCEE PHOENIX (2) was terrific last start and nearly his best run this campaign despite finishing unplaced. He can make his presence felt. MUFASA METRO (3) has been crying out for a good draw being a fast beginner and he does get it here. Past two starts have been excellent, and he should be at peak fitness. Must be respected. HARRY STAMPER (1) drawn to get a good trip from the pole position and will get every chance. Sure to run well. QUEEN ELIDA (4) outstanding mare that wasn’t far away last start and will be stalking to strike late. Chance.

Race 6:
OVERVIEW: KEAYANG ZAHARA (8) has achieved the ‘Perfect 10’ in her short career to date and is seeking to entrench her name on the honour board of Victorian Trotters Derby winners. A special filly that holds no fear against the boys. The one to beat. VALTINO (4) underrated colt that was excellent last start and if he can trot smoothly throughout, he can make it very interesting at the finish. He's a knockout chance. VIOLET STANDFORD (3) is another very highly talented filly that wasn’t disgraced in her heat and made-up good ground late from a poor draw. Better draw here and will be in this for a long way. MISTER BLINDSIDE (9) he was very brave last start chasing hard and despite racing keenly he never gave up or made a mistake. Second row draw might help him to settle and if he can just relax in the run, he can’t be ruled out. He’s got the ability, but he needs to find a way to settle in the run to have a winning chance. Both PINNIE (2) and KYVALLEY MICHAEL (11) are place and first four chances.

OVERVIEW: PERFIDIOUS SUE (5) she was back to her brilliant best last start against inferior company but was impressive winning. Sure to go forward here and will give a great sight throughout. MAORIS MAC (7) has chased home a star filly at her past four starts and is racing very well. A major threat. Both DICHOTOMY (9) and PICKET WIRE (8) have second row draws but will find this a suitable race having competed against strong opposition in recent times. Both are definite winning hopes. RAPID RETURN (10) delivered a knockout by winning the Group One Vicbred final last start and taking some big scalps. Will be trying to do the same here! CONSTANT (2) I DREAM OF MILLIE (6) KYVALLEY AMANDA (11) are place and first four chances.

Race 8:
OVERVIEW: VYTIS (1) has performed very well in his short racing career despite having won only the one race to date. Despite having his first race stand attempt here, he’s a mighty chance. COMMODUS (3) is a very smart trotter that’s been very professional to date and was the winner of the Vicbred 2yo Group One Final two starts ago. Hard to hold out. GATESYS GEM (11) has been outstanding to date and clearly can be winning this. If she can manoeuvre through the traffic, she will be very hard to beat. ENCHAUFFOUR (4) top run when first up for the new stable. Fitter and can be right in it. Both CARLA PIXIE (10) and KEAYANG KURKI (7) have loads of ability and racing with great zest. Both must be respected as winning chances in a great race.
