RACE 1

LANAI (6) looks the horse significantly dropping in class from some of his better form. His first run this time in he finished last behind Leap To Fame in an open class race. 

 

ITZMINEONTHELINE (9) things didn’t go his way last time out when well back in a quickly run race. 

 

BETTOR ROMANCE (8) this mare is racing in career best form. Had a few things go her way last time out but they did run fast time. 

 

MIDNIGHT CALM (4) did all the work two back and wasn’t beaten too far there. Went quickly in front last start and was beaten by a horse that had a soft run throughout. 

 

SELECTIONS: LANAI (6), ITZMINEONTHELINE (9), BETTOR ROMANCE (8), MIDNIGHT CALM (4)

RACE 2 

PACIFICO DREAM (8) with the claim of Jack Chapple gets back into band 5 company. He hit the line strongly last start after being dragged back in the field by a tiring runner. 

 

DANCE ADDITION (1) was a winner two runs ago when able to lead all the way. She will likely look to repeat the dose in this race. 

 

ZENXENA (7) ran to the front and briefly looked the winner before she was nabbed on the line by Obi One. Looks to get a soft run throughout here. 

 

ALWAYS THUNDER (2) got too far back last start from a wide gate. He brings strong form from NSW into this race and can figure from the better gate.

RACE 3

JEWEL MELODY (5) nothing has gone right for this mare in her QLD campaign so far. She is the clear standout class runner of the field and looks the likely winner. 

 

MY CRACKLING ROSIE (4) was able to sit outside the leader last start and stuck on well for second there. 

 

BETTING JEWEL (7) impressed last start when making strong late ground into a midfield finish. 

 

CHYNCHILLA (9) left the rails last start before dropping out and finishing second last. They did go fast time but she will need to lift.

RACE 4 

MACH ASSASSIN (1) has some gate speed and may get his opportunity to lead them up in this race. Racing well enough.

 

COPPERFIELD (5) is the class runner of the field. He trialled sharply in fast time. He may need to do some work at some stage. 

 

LAURIE DEE (8) lead last start and was well beaten. Seems to be best driven sit sprint which he will get the opportunity to be in this.

 

FLO RYDA (7) is racing well and can secure a soft run in this race.

RACE 5

MIKIBEQUICK (9) disappointed last start after securing a soft run throughout. Once into the clear he gave ground there. This looks slightly easier and he can bounce back. 

 

PRESS STATEMENT (2) has good gate speed. He’s quite well graded in this race. 

 

MUCH BETTOR (8) has been racing at his best in recent starts. Unlucky two back before a good third last start. 

 

MOMENTUM SWING (7) may secure a good run just behind the speed. Ran well first up for the new stable last start.

RACE 6 

EPIC ORION (1) has some gate speed and dictates the early map. Racing in good form. 

 

ENGLISH DANCE (4) has had a few runs back from a spell. Raced in stinger company, with a claim back into this race looks well graded. 

 

TOMMY BLIGH (2) was suited by a strong tempo in the early stages. He was able to pull wide and race to the lead. 

 

SII SEMPRE TILLY (7) generally races well when driven on the pegs. She gets that opportunity in this race.

RACE 7

SIR JUJON (1) held up last start once clear hit the line well. Has gate speed and likely dictates the early map. 

 

WESTERN ACTION (8) won well at odds last start from back in the field. This looks easier. 

 

DREAM MELODY (2) was able to lead last start and scored impressively. 

 

FILLY THIRTEEN (6) draws awkwardly in this race. She is a horse that possesses very good gate speed and faces a tricky decision in the early stages.

RACE 8

SHEREACTS (1) raced in tougher company last time out. Did all the work two back and battled on well for second there. 

 

BLACKJACK BART (6) the draw makes things tricky for this consistent gelding. He generally does his best work racing up on the speed. 

 

WEONA SIR VIVOR (5) well backed last start. Never got into the race there. This looks slightly tougher. 

 

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (9) aims for a hat-trick in this race having scored in his last two runs from differing positions in races showing his versatility.

RACE 9

RIVER ROCK (2) luckless last start when pushed wide off the track. Appeared to still hit the line reasonably well and draws to do no work. 

 

SPORTS BOUNTY (1) impressed last start when second behind Western Action. Can secure a soft run. 

 

MEGA STAR (8) recent form looks good for a race of this nature. Draws to get a good run through in the early stages. 

 

SPELLMAKERS CHARM (9) made no real impression late last start off a soft run.

RACE 10

RACANA (3) speedy filly that was able to zip off the gate and lead all the way two runs ago at Albion Park. Brendan Barnes jumps aboard and she looks hard to beat. 

 

TRAVELNFEELIN (4) impressed when breaking the maiden sitting outside the leader. 

 

THIS PUNTER ROCKS (5) has impressed in both a recent trial and race start. He has an awkward draw but appears to have the ability to overcome that. 

 

GRUBSCREW (2) returned from a spell with two placings. Has the draw advantage.
