Form Analysis by Craig Rail

Race 1:

OVERVIEW: SWIZZLESTICK (12) made a mid-race move to park without cover and fought on strongly for second in a mile rate of 1.55.2 last outing. He is racing in good form and should go well again. KOMODO (9) should be getting fitter after his two starts back from a break and he possesses a powerful finishing burst so he warrants respect. STARZZZ DESTINY (13) progressed forward to find the lead and held off his rivals to win at Shepparton. He had no clear run when an unlucky sixth prior and he is worth an investment on his overall form. STAROFTHESHOW (4) had mixed results in three starts during his last preparation but he is a proven classic winning pacer and will take beating if he is somewhere near his peak.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely early leader), 3,5

SELECTIONS: SWIZZLESTICK (12), KOMODO (9), STARZZZ DESTINY (13), STAROFTHESHOW (4)

RATINGS: 9,12/ 4,13/ 8/ 3,5

SUGGESTED BET: SWIZZLESTICK (12) each way

Race 2:

OVERVIEW: SWEETNIKKILOU (6) was resuming since March when a brave second behind Classic Angelina after she pushed forward to find the death seat in a mile rate of 1.54.8. She is a very good filly and should have a prosperous campaign. DELIGHTFUL CHARM (5) will appreciate a significant drop back in class for this assignment and should go well. She was unplaced behind the classy mare Perfect In Peak in the Mares Final last outing and she was a Shepparton winner in May. YOU BEAUTY (9) sustained a long run from the back when she scored over Chirripo at Melton last outing. She is racing consistently and is worth thought again. SASSINESS (8) was able to win nicely after finding the lead last outing and is capable of taking the next step forward.

EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 1,3,6

SELECTIONS: SWEETNIKKILOU (6), DELIGHTFUL CHARM (5), YOU BEAUTY (9), SASSINESS (8)

RATINGS: 6/ 5/ 8,9/ 3,4/ 2

SUGGESTED BET: SWEETNIKKILOU (6) to win

Race 3:

OVERVIEW: EXALTED LADY (6) settled three back on the markers and finished off strongly for a game second at her first run since November. She should strip fitter from that outing and is capable of going one better. SKY LINDY (10) raced without cover throughout when second at Yarra Valley then broke stride at a vital stage last outing. She has ability when she is able to put it altogether and is worth another chance. SAYDIE (7) is a former Queensland trotter that performed well at a recent Melton trial effort and must be kept safe. AMALIA PEARL (2) hasn’t quite been to her best form at her two starts since a spell but she should be getting fitter and is capable of showing improvement from the good draw. I AM HARRO (1) and STARTEDASAWHISPER (3) are both worth thought under these conditions.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 2,4

SELECTIONS: EXALTED LADY (6), SKY LINDY (10), SAYDIE (7), AMALIA PEARL (2)

SUGGESTED BET: 6/ 7,10/ 2,3/ 1

Race 4:

OVERVIEW: MY BABYGIRL (9) finished third at Mildura on debut then was spelled. She looked very sharp at a recent Bendigo trial victory and should continue to improve with the benefit of racing. MAJORS CREEK (6) is a fast beginner and continues to race consistently against the maiden class. She led out then took cover when fourth behind Aim To Please last outing. BETATHANABOUGHTONE (4) found the line nicely at her latest Shepparton trial performance and should be competitive against this line up. KEAYANG SHADOWBOX (8) and CYCLONE BELLA (10) are both capable of showing improvement under these conditions.

EARLY SPEED: 6 (likely leader), 3

SELECTIONS: MY BABYGIRL (9), MAJORS CREEK (6), BETATHANABOUGHTONE (4), CYCLONE BELLA (10)

RATINGS: 6,9/ 4,10/ 5/ 3

SUGGESTED BET: MY BABYGIRL (9) to win

Race 5:

OVERVIEW: ESS KAY HOLLYWOOD (8) performed below expectations when he was resuming but he did endure a tough run and he performed well at the trials prior. He is a smart trotter when racing at his peak and is worth another chance. MAJESTIC TOOTH (9) will appreciate a significant drop back in class for this assignment and finished off well when fifth (4m) behind Kyvalley Picasso last outing so she is worth a ticket each way. SALSKI (5) is a smart mare when she is able to put it altogether and worked home nicely at her latest fourth so she is not without a chance. BLACK AND GOLD (2) and ROCKFORD PEACH (4) are both capable of showing up without surprising.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (possible leader), 3,4,7

SELECTIONS: ESS KAY HOLLYWOOD (8), MAJESTIC TOOTH (9), SALSKI (5), BLACK AND GOLD (2)

RATINGS: 8,9/ 5/ 2,4/ 1/ 3

SUGGESTED BET: ESS KAY HOLLYWOOD (8) each way

Race 6:

OVERVIEW: BEST DEAL (2) is an outstanding colt that remains undefeated from three starts. He is meeting a handy field but his winning margins have been 20m, 61m and 27m so he is capable of taking the next step forward. THE ANSWER (1) had no luck whatsoever at her first run since February and she won the Gold Chalice last season so she must be respected. WENDYS WISH (5) ran a brave race for third behind Surfingmakescents in the Mares Sprint Championship in a sizzling mile rate of 1.52.6 last outing. She is a tough competitor and has claims along with NIKI NAH NAH (7) and CEMETERY BAY (8).

EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 1,4

SELECTIONS: BEST DEAL (2), THE ANSWER (1), WENDYS WISH (5), CEMETERY BAY (8)

RATINGS: 2/ 1,5/ 7,8

SUGGESTED BET: Trifecta 2/ 1/ 5,7,8 (Cost $3)

Race 7:

OVERVIEW: LUV THE NITELIFE (7) is a beautifully bred first starter, which finished a close second behind stable mate Silver Pistol at her only trial effort. She is widely drawn but is sure to attract plenty of support. The Mark Thompson trained pacers GUARANTEED END (4) and DIEING FEAR (5) have both impressed at the trials and should be competitive under these conditions. IDEAL AFFAIR (6) ran a good race for second in a trial effort at Melton last week and is a place chance along with MY ULTIMATE SASSY (10) and GOLDEN SHOOZ (11).

EARLY SPEED: 7 (possible leader), 4,6

SELECTIONS: LUV THE NITELIFE (7), GUARANTEED END (4), DIEING FEAR (5), IDEAL AFFAIR (6)

RATINGS: 7/ 4,5/ 6/ 10,11

SUGGESTED BET: GUARANTEED END (4) each way

Race 8:

OVERVIEW: SUSAN IS HER NAME (12) is resuming since a win in the Super Series Final in September but she produced a massive performance to win over She’s Ruby Roo at a recent Melton trial victory. She is clearly the class runner of the field and will prove very hard to beat. KEAYANG GUCCI (11) is a very talented trotter but she is still learning. She finished off quickly for second at a Terang trial effort last week and must be considered as a strong place chance. CONSTANT (8) can sprint to the line quickly with the right trail forward and is a value place hope. BELLE NEIGE (4) should continue to improve with the benefit of experience and has claims along with MONTANA CHEVELLE (5) and IM BOBBY (9).

EARLY SPEED: 5 (possible leader), 6

SELECTIONS: SUSAN IS HER NAME (12), KEAYANG GUCCI (11), CONSTANT (8), BELLE NEIGE (4)

RATINGS: 12/ 11/ 4,5,8

SUGGESTED BET: SUSAN IS HER NAME (12) to win

Race 9:

OVERVIEW: CARLA PIXIE (4) is a former New Zealand trotter, which was runner up in all of her three starts at Addington and joins trainer Brent Lilley. She recorded slow time at her trial victory last week but she appeared to have plenty in reserve at the finish so she is worth following. KYVALLEY JAGGER (6) is resuming since finishing unplaced in the Nutrien Final at Melton in April. He finished second in a heat of that series so he is worth thought despite being first up without a trial performance. STEADY DREAM (5) has shown some ability at the trials but got it wrong at the start and galloped out of contention at her debut. She is worth another chance. ALDEBARAN ZENDAYA (2) and PLEASE LAYLA (1) finished second and third respectively at a Melton trial effort last week and are worth a place ticket.

EARLY SPEED: 4 (possible leader), 3

SELECTIONS: CARLA PIXIE (4), KYVALLEY JAGGER (6), STEADY DREAM (5), ALDEBARAN ZENDAYA (2)

RATINGS: 4/ 5,6/ 2/ 1,3

SUGGESTED BET: CARLA PIXIE (4) to win
