Race 1 - OAKWOOD CAPITAL GOLDSTRIKE SERIES HEAT 1 2200M
Man Of Action NZ– Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.
Mustang Dude – Stood flat footed before galloping at the start. A warning was issued.
Hesluvable – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued. Hung in when under pressure on the home turn resulting in contact with a marker post.
Party Changer - In the straight near the 800m locked sulky stays locking with Trouper Jujon.
Trouper Jujon – Inclined to lay in in the straight near the 800m resulting in sulky stays locking with Party Charger.
Could It Be Me – Broke gait after the start. A warning was issued.
Chanceless Century – Checked after the start by Mustang Dude.
Rocco Variety – Broke gait after the start. The gelding will be drawn on the extreme outside in future standing start events.
Race 2 – EASTER SUNDAY FUNDAY MARCH 31 PACE 1850M
Takidah – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.
Tungsten Terror – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner. Broke gait on two (2) occasions during the event before being retired from the race. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. The gelding was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
Batman Bart – Left a one-wide trailing position in the early stages and after an unsuccessful challenge for the position outside of the leader raced wide for the remainder of the event.
Office Bad Boy– After satisfying QRIC requirements the horse will be placed back in the draw in mobile events.
Race 3 - OAKWOOD CAPITAL GOLDSTRIKE SERIES HEAT 2 2200M
Shadys Cullect - Checked at the start.
One Last Roll – Tightened at the start. Tightened and contacted marker posts on the first turn.
Mongolian Conqueror NZ – Shifted in at the start tightening One Last Roll and Shadys Cullect. A warning was issued. Driver fined tightening One Last Roll on the first turn.
Aunty Frances– Galloped at the start. In view of the mare’s previous record Aunty Frances will be excluded from the draw in standing start events.
Strutty – Inconvenienced after the start.
Cheddar Made beta NZ – Galloped at the start. The gelding will be placed on its last chance in the draw.
Woodlea Diego NZ– Gave ground after leading the one-wide for the majority of the event.
Gracenava-– Galloped after the start. A warning was issued.
General: Danielle Veivers (Mongolian Conqueror NZ) was fined $300 for shifting in approaching the turn after the start causing One Last Role (Pete McMullen) to being tightened for room resulting in that gelding shifting inside the line on the marker posts. (AHR.163(1)(d)).
Race 4 - GOLDBET INSTANT WITHDRAWALS PACE 1850M
Left To Rocknroll – Driver questioned regarding driving of his in final lap.
Notta Louczar – Hung in during the score up. Inclined to hang out during the event.
Western Showgirl – Hung out when leading.
Pago Pago – Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.
General: Stewards questioned Ricky Gordon (Left To Rocknroll) regarding the reason stablemate Chakana was able to obtain a run to the inside of Left To Rocknroll in the back straight on the final occasion. Mr Gordon was of the opinion the shifting of Left To Rocknroll was caused by gelding hanging out at that stage due to being under pressure. After considering the matter Ricky Gordon was given the benefit of the doubt regarding his driving of the horse at that stage.
Race 5 – OAKWOOD CAPITAL GOLDSTRIKE SERIES HEAT 3 2200M
Junior Ryan – Galloped at the start taking no competitive part in the race. A warning was issued.
Mister Quirk – Swung sideways at the start. A warning was issued.
Vikander – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued. Broke gait in the back straight on the first occasion and continued to gallop for an excessive distance. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly. It was noted that the mini bit came adrift during the event.
Keayang Tara – Checked at the start when Eliss Street shifted in. Shortly after became unbalanced and broke gait.
Ellis Street – Swung sideways at the start. A warning was issued. Broke approaching the turn into the front straight near the 800 m. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly. Held up for a clear run to the finish.
Majordoit – Checked at the start. Cast its near side front shoe during the event,
Mach Brilliance – Checked after the start.
Delightful Rainbow – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.
Race 6 - GOLDBET NEW REWARDS PACE 1850M
Teachers Pet – Shifted in and contacted a marker post near the 800 m.
Copy Writer – Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring Funnily Enough over the final 500 m.
Melton Insulted
Mister Diamond – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.
Rancho Man – Inclined to hang out and pull hard during the score up.
Funnily Enough – Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader. Gave ground over the final 600 m.
Rubini – Contacted a marker post on the home turn when racing in restricted room.
Race 7 – OAKWOOD CAPITAL GOLDSTRIKE SERIES HEAT 4 2200M
Racing Time – Galloped at the start taking no competitive part in the race. A warning was issued.
Sir Brigadoon – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.
Mydadsaid – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued. Hung in and contacted a marker post near the 200 m.
Goelitz – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.
Johnson Step NZ– Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.
Rosberg NZ– Checked after the start by Racing Time. Hung in badly throughout being unable to handle the track. A warning was issued. Shifted in and contacted marker posts during the event. A warning was issued.
Bosch NZ - Checked after the start.
Mighty Flying Deal NZ– Swung sideways at the start.
Race 8 - GOLDBET SAME RACE MULTI PACE 1850M
Write About Angus NZ – Driver fined whip use.
Artistic Saint - Gave ground after racing outside of the leader to be beaten in excess of 125 metres. The gelding was found to be suffering from the Thumps. Artistic Saint was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
Slip Of Colada - Gave ground after racing outside of the leader to be beaten in excess of 130 metres. Stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfactory and declared ineligible until it trials satisfactorily.
Subtle Chay - Gave ground after racing outside of the leader to be beaten in excess of 95 metres. Stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfactory and declared ineligible until it trials satisfactorily.
General: Neil Murray (Write About Chelsea) was fined $200 for using his whip in approved manner by applying the whip with more than a flicking action over the final 100 m.
