Race 1 - STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE     2040M  MS

Malinjang (Angus Garrard) Gate speed to race outside the leader throughout up until inclined to shift-out when placed under pressure leaving the 600metres, sustaining a flat off-side tyre when the sulky wheel was contacted by the trailing runner ILLBEWATCHING (Pete McMullen) which had commenced to improve three-wide leaving that point of the event resulting in MALINJANG yielding ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Candykane (Leonard Cain) Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position when the start was effected. Connections were advised CANDYKANE would be placed out of the barrier draw in future mobile starts until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner. Trailed the field thereafter, taking no competitive part in the event.

Tralee Maxie (Layne Dwyer) Caught-wide in the early stages before being restrained into a rearward trailing position.

Substitooth (Nathan Rothwell) Caught four-wide initially after the start before working forward three-wide in the early stages however, after failing to obtain a more forward position in the event leaving the home straight on the first occasion, the gelding subsequently was restrained to a rearward trailing position. Yielded ground over the final 400metres of the event.  

Rock Hammer (Brendan Barnes) Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position when the start was effected. Connections were advised ROCK HAMMER would be placed out of the barrier draw in future mobile starts until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner. Trailed the field thereafter, taking no competitive part in the event.

La Sabina NZ (Alanah Richardson) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Illbewatching (Pete McMullen) Overraced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages of the event. Contacted and punctured the off-side sulky tyre of the preceding runner MALINJANG (Angus Garrard) leaving the 600metres when manoeuvring three-wide to improve position. No action was taken on driver Pete McMullen due to MALINJANG shifting-out when placed under pressure leaving that point in the event.

Hey Mister Taylor (Bryse McElhinney) Inconvenienced during the score-up as a result of CANDYKANE breaking gait during the score-up, placing HEY MISTER TAYLOR marginally out of position when the start was effected and no action was taken.

Race 2 – DRIVER OF THE NIGHT MATT ELKINS PACE     1780M  MS

Flo Ryda NZ (Paige Bevan) Shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish.

Maretti (Adam Richardson) Raced three-wide in the early stages before progressing forward to attain the position outside the leader passing the 1300metres. Inclined to hang-in on the turns in and out of the back straight on the final occasion when racing in the position outside the leader before yielding ground over the concluding stages of the event.     

Romero (Phoebe Betts) Broke in the early stages of the score-up, however filled its allotted gate position prior to the candy pole. Inclined to over-race and pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

Docta Feelgood (Alanah Richardson) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish to win the event.

Offyarocka Crocker (Layne Dwyer) Over-raced and pulled hard during the early stages of the event. Inclined to hang-in leaving the back straight on the first occasion when racing in a rearward trailing position.    

Race 3 - GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE     1780M  MS

Angelic She Aint (Nathan Dawson) Held up for clear running over the latter stages of the home straight in the run to the finish and was not fully tested to the line.  

Miss Bay King Cole (Adam Sanderson) Caught three-wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to attain the position outside the leader near the 1350metres, where raced for the remainder.

Ollie Ollie (Nathan Rothwell) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish to win the event.

Race 4 - LADBROKES BLACKBOOK PACE     1780M  MS

Hoiho NZ (Jonah Hutchinson) Over-raced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages of the event whilst racing in the position behind the leader before yielding ground over the final 400metres of the event.

Explanation Noted (Adam Sanderson) Shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish.

Rock It Baby (Darren McCall) Caught-wide in the early stages and after failing to obtain a more forward position in the event, the gelding was restrained to the rear of the field. Held-up rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the home straight before obtaining clear running via the sprint lane in the run to the finish, finishing strongly.  

Dollarbill (Angus Garrard) Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from a midfield trailing position leaving the 650metres.

Charlie Chuckles (Brendan Barnes) Raced three-wide in the early stages, working forward to obtain the position outside the leader leaving the 1200metres, where raced for the remainder.

Torque In Control (Adam Richardson) Held-up and checked behind the tiring HOIHO NZ leaving the 400metres before gaining clear running rounding the final turn, finishing strongly in the run to the finish.

Bokhari (Dale Larpent) Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from a rearward trailing position leaving the 650metres.  

Jay Tee Tyron NZ (John Stariha) Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from a rearward trailing position leaving the 650metres.

Race 5 – SULKY.APP - THE FUTURE OF FORM PACE     1780M  MS

Nuclear Bling (Jordan Topping) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Chanceless Century (Trent Moffat) Gate speed however, raced three-wide in the early stages, working forward to obtain the position outside the leader approaching the 1400metres where raced for the remainder up until yielding ground over the final 400metres of the event.

Ghost Train (Angus Garrard) Raced keenly whilst being restrained by driver shortly after the start was effected to a rearward trailing position. Overraced during the middle stages of the event prior to yielding ground over the concluding stages.  

One Chain Road (Pete McMullen) Held up for clear running over the latter stages of the home straight in the run to the finish and was not fully tested to the line.

Race 6 - DAN COSTELLO PHOTOGRAPHY 0 TO 3 WINS PACE     1780M  MS

Mermaid Beach NZ (Brendan Barnes)Restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages. Contacted and/or raced inside a number of marker pegs when racing in restricted room leaving the 250metres.       

Kiss On The Beach (Gary Litzow) Gate speed however, raced three-wide in the early stages, working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1400metres. Inclined to race ungenerously whilst racing in the position outside the leader until yielding ground over the final 400metres of the event.

General:

The first attempted score-up was aborted after Mathew Neilson, driver of Wannago had signalled to the starter during the score-up relating to a gear issue after the mare had become fractious in the early stages of the score-up. It was ascertained a gear malfunction to the mare’s headcheck was the cause of the false start which resulted in a 5(five) minute delay to the running of the event. The gear was inspected by Stewards post-race and found to be of good condition and no action was taken.

Race 7 - GET WELL DUDLEY WARBURTON 1 WIN PACE     1780M  MS

Deep Regret (John Stariha) Tired badly over the final 500metres of the event, to be beaten in excess of 69metres. Connections were advised the overall performance of DEEP REGRET was below the standard required and the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

For Our Delight (Nathan Dawson) Gate speed however, raced three-wide in the early stages, progressing forward to attain the position outside the leader passing the 1400metres initially until obtaining a trail from JOE CAVALIER (Angus Garrard) near the 1100metres before angling down to race in a three-back marker-line position shortly after for the remainder.

Joe Cavalier (Angus Garrard) Raced four-wide initially after the start however, paced roughly turning into the back straight on the first occasion before progressing forward three-wide to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1100metres where raced up until yielding ground over the final 300metres of the event.

Mistique (Trent Moffat) Failed to take part in the pre-race circle. Inclined to hang-out in the latter stages of the score-up and connections were advised MISTIQUE will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner. Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from the rear of the field leaving the 700metres.     

Long Time Coming (Adam Richardson) Hung-in and contacted and/or raced inside marker pegs on the turn into the back straight on the final occasion when racing in a rearward marker-line position and a warning was issued. Tired badly over the final 500metres of the event, to be beaten in excess of 90metres. Connections were advised the overall performance of LONG TIME COMING was below the standard required and the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Pennie Packer (Pete McMullen) Pulled hard during the score-up. Worked forward from the start from the filly’s second row draw, racing three-wide with cover initially in the early stages before angling into a midfield trailing position on the turn into the back straight on the first occasion. Over-raced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages of the event.  

Race 8 – MEMBERS DRAW WINNER ANTHONY DOBRA PACE     1780M  MS

Pom Pay (Graham Betts) Yielded ground over the final 500metres of the event.

Choc A Block (Phoebe Betts) Gate speed to race outside the leader throughout.

Singer Snap (Noel Parrish) Failed to take part in the pre-race circle. Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Matai Reactor (Jonah Hutchinson) Restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

She Owns The Day (Jordan Topping) Inconvenienced leaving the pre-race circle as a result of MAJOR MISCHIEF (Trent Moffat) which jibbed leaving the pre-race circle. Pulled hard during the score-up thereafter.  

Major Mischief (Trent Moffat) Jibbed after facing the starter leaving the pre-race circle resulting in the gelding being out of position when the start was effected. Connections were advised MAJOR MISCHIEF would be placed out of the barrier draw in future mobile starts until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner. Rejoined the field leaving the 1300metres however, tired over the final 600metres of the event, to be beaten in excess of 82metres – no action was taken due to the starting offence.

Race 9 – MAZDA ASPLEY MAIDEN PACE     1780M  MS

No Family Likemine (Pete McMullen) Hung-in during the score-up and a warning was issued. Hung-in noticeably in the back straight on the first occasion when leading the one-wide line and a warning was issued.

Sports Mode (Brendan Barnes) Hung-in and contacted a number of marker pegs leaving the 250metres when racing in a midfield marker-line position and a warning was issued. Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Ebony Belle (Nathan Dawson) Failed to take part in the pre-race circle.
