Supplementary Redcliffe Race 1, March 25, 2024

Stewards today received a report from Brad Tamer, QRIC Manager – Compliance & Assurance, regarding the wagering information from Race 1, Redcliffe March 25, 2024. An inquiry into the circumstances of the race, in particular the pace set in front by Paige Bevan, driver of Kyronta, was adjourned on the day in order for Stewards to request betting information on the race.

The information received today by Stewards noted that ‘Betting interest in the race was tepid and when considered in isolation is not indicative of a race where a favourite was off.

Based on the data sets examined it is doubtful that a correlation between Paige Bevan’s drive on Kyronta and wagering endured.’

After considering the betting report, along with the evidence presented on the day by Ms Bevan as well as consideration of the racing characteristics of Kyronta, Stewards determined that no further action needed to be taken apart from noting the circumstances.
