Race 1 - STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE            1780M

Jilliby Jackpot (Angus Garrard) held up on the final turn behind the tiring Press Statement.

Stompem NZ (Paige Bevan) held up on the final turn behind the tiring Press Statement.

General

Following a lighting failure Stewards inspected the track lighting and deemed the current lighting suitable for racing.

Race 2 – LADBROKES RACING CLUB PACE  2040M

Achromatic (Nathan Dawson) caught wide in the early stages before working forward to obtain the position without cover.

Taylors Four (Ben Battle) caught wide for the first 600 metres before progressing forward to obtain a forward position.

Last Call (Mathew Neilson) caught wide for the first 600 metres before progressing forward to obtain a forward position.

Brian Christopher NZ (Jordan Topping) slightly back from its allotted barrier position at the start. Jordan Topping was reminded of the requirements under rule 162 (1)(h) to fully maintain position at the start.

General

A lighting failure was rectified for the majority of the track with the exception of a small patch at the 100 metres. After consulting with competing drivers, Stewards deemed the lighting suitable for racing.

Race 3 - MAZDA ASPLEY PACE          1780M

Fullofit (Dan Russell) slow to muster speed at the start and continued to hang in throughout the race and finished distanced from the remainder of the field. Stewards deemed the performance of the mare below the standard required for licenced meetings and subsequently barred Fullofit from racing until a satisfactory trial is performed.

Teachers Pet (Nathan Dawson) raced ungenerously at various stages of the race and was inclined to hang in and a warning was issued. 

Maywyns La Nina (Shane Graham) checked in the run to the finish when Malinjang shifted out. Promoted from 3rd to 2nd on protest.

Malinjang (Angus Garrard) shifted out significantly in the run to the finish. Lost second placing on protest. A warning was issued and connections were advised to take corrective measures.

General

A lighting failure was rectified for the majority of the track with the exception of a small patch at the 100 metres. After consulting with competing drivers, Stewards deemed the lighting suitable for racing.

The all clear on this race was delayed to allow driver Shane Graham to view the final stages of the event whereby his mare Maywns La Niña was checked. After perusal of the footage Shane Graham lodged a protest against the second placegetter Malinjang alleging interference in the run to the finish. After deliberation with the driver of Malinjang (Angus Garrard) and Shane Graham, Stewards ruled that the interference suffered to Maywyns La Nina by Malinjang shifting out was greater than the beaten margin of 2 metres between second and third and the protest was subsequently upheld and the judges placings were amended to 3 6 8 7 2.

Race 4 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE            1780M

Kiss On The Beach (Brendan Barnes) broke during the score up and was out of position at the start. The mare will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Race 5 – HYGAIN FEEDS PACE           2040M

Lara Bay (Phil Chappenden) led in the early and middle stages however commenced to yield ground at the winning post with a lap remaining and finished a distant last. Stewards directed the mare to undergo a veterinary inspection which revealed Lara Bay had bled from both nostrils. In accordance with AHR rule 101, Lara Bay was barred from racing for a period of three months at the conclusion of which a veterinary clearance will be required from connections. The mare will be required to trial satisfactorily on return to racing at the conclusion of this embargo.

Rock It Baby (Darren McCall) back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts. Checked in the back straight on the last occasion when taken back through the field by the tiring Lara Bay.

Torque In Control (Adam Richardson) severely checked in the back straight on the last occasion when taken back through the field by the tiring Lara Bay.

Charlie Chuckles (Brendan Barnes) broke at the start and will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Race 6 - AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS PACE        1780M

Downtown Manhattan (Ricky Gordon) galloped in the early stages of the score up but was in position at the start.

General

Aaron Smith (Floorless) was fined $200 under AHR rule 156 (2) (a) for engaging the shoulder and elbow when applying the whip in the run to the finish.

Race 7 - ELDERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PACE  2040M

Dollarbill (Angus Garrard) broke during the score up but regained its gait and was in position at start. Pulled hard outside the leader and failed to settle at any time during the race and yielded ground in the concluding stages to finish in seventh position beaten 34.1 metres. Stewards directed a veterinary inspection be carried out on the gelding which revealed Dollarbill had suffered Diaphragmatic flutter (thumps) during the race. Connections were advised the gelding will be stood down from racing until a satisfactory trial can be performed.

General

John Stariha was fined $200 under AHR rule 88(2) for the scratching of Magicol Ideal NZ for unacceptable reasons.

Race 8 – SULKY.APP - THE FUTURE OF FORM PACE            1780M

The Last Starfire (Trent Hodges) hung in on the first turn and contacted a marker peg.

Lady Antheia (Brendan Barnes) broke gait free of interference at the 500 metres but quickly settled back into a pace. The mare was placed on its last chance to race truly.

Major Mischief (Leonard Cain) raced roughly at the 400 metres when Feeling The Power moved from a position to the inside.

General

Andrew Millard (Feeling The Power) was reprimanded under AHR rule 168(1)(a) for carelessly shifting out when insufficiently clear of Major Mischief which caused that gelding to be momentarily inconvenienced.

Race 9 – PELICAN WATERS RESORT 1 WIN PACE     2040M

Slip Of Colada (Angus Garrard) inconvenienced after the start when Charge Ahead hung in.

Charge Ahead (Grant Dixon) hung in at the start. Raced roughly at various stages and a warning was issued. Charge Ahead will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Singer Snap (Trent Hodges) hung in at the 200 metres placing Tuffy in restricted room to the inside.

Tuffy (Aaron Smith) contacted marker pegs at the 200 metres when racing tight to the inside of Singer Snap.

Race 10 - REDCLIFFE LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN PACE           1780M

Zac Daniels (Leonard Cain) shifted in and contacted a marker peg at the 400 metrres.

Ebony Belle (Nathan Dawson) broke in the score up but was in position at the start and a warning was issued.
