GENERAL

 The following horses were declared late scratching’s at 10:51am due to a float breakdown:

RACE 1 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL 2YO TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

MAJESTIC FUNDS– Broke in the score up, was out of position at the start and was issued with its last chance in the draw.

MONTY MONTE– Driver Robert Morris was cautioned after using his whip with a free hand upon entry to the home straight.

RAINBOW JESTER– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – HRNSW 3YO TROTTERS FOUNDATION HEAT 2 – 1609 metres

ADDICTIVE STRIDE– Broke after the start and was placed on its last chance in the draw.

KRACKAJACK TOOTH– Pre-race blood sample.

MILITARY MERIT– Galloped out and in view of the colt’s recent record will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Became unbalanced and broke gait passing the 350 metres. In view of the colt’s recent record, MILITARY MERIT will be required to perform two requalifying trials and will be stood down for a period of 10 days.

IMPACT STRIDE– Post-race swab sample.

KENNYWOULD– Trainer Blake Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand under Rule 41(1) for failing to present the gelding on course by the prescribed time.

PROHIBITED LOVE– Became unbalanced and broke gait passing the 400 metres. In view of the gelding’s recent record PROHIBITED LOVE will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

MAXIMUS MERIDIUS– Galloped out and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 3 – FOLLOW THE STARS @ MEDOWIE LODGE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

SALUTE STRIDE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

FOOTTAPPER– Approaching the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for which a warning was issued.

MELPARK MAGIC– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – SKY RACING TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

VIKSUN– Pre-race blood sample.

WYNBERG WATCH– Raced roughly after the start and was placed on its last chance in the draw. Approaching the 600 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the gelding’s recent record WYNBERG WATCH will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

ITZFERGIETIME– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.

VALLEY STAR NZ– Passing the 600 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the gelding’s recent record, VALLEY STAR NZ will now be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to its left foreleg and required stitches and as a result VALLEY STAR NZ was stood down for a period of 10 days acting on veterinary advice.

 

RACE 5 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609 metres

THREE LINED– Driver Jack Callaghan was questioned in relation to the overall performance of the gelding in that after being able to lead and sustain relatively moderate sectionals, THREE LINED commenced to give ground passing the 400 metres before being 20.6 metres. Mr Callaghan could offer no explanation other than he believed THREE LINED was disappointing.

BELL RIVERKID– Pre-race blood sample.

LINCS POOR BOY– Driver Grace Panella was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain her position behind the starting gate. Post-race swab sample.

DON KEE- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

LETTUCE GO MIKI– Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader approaching the 1050 metres. 

 

RACE 6 – APIAM AGNES BANKS PERFORMANCE ASSESMENT PACE – 1609 metres

SELSEY BILL NZ– Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

MONTEFIORE NZ– Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

GIMME A REASON– Pre-race blood sample.

ITS DOWN TO DIGGER– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1050 metres. Post-race swab sample.

JUST ROCKNROLL– Pre-race blood sample. Trainer Bruce Fox was issued a reprimand under Rule 41(1) for failing to present the gelding on course by the prescribed time.

KNOCKAWARWON NZ– Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

SO I AM– Driver Robert Morris was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that passing the 400 metres he has applied the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion.

KATLAS DREAM– Caught wide early before working forward to a position in the running line passing the 1050 metres.

 

RACE 7 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

FANCY FREE– Pre-race blood sample. Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Post-race swab sample.

WATCH ME REACT– Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

ROYAL VINCENT– Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres as a result of STAGECOACH commencing to give ground.

ACE LOMBO– Approaching the 900 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the gelding’s recent record ACE LOMBO will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

SHARK DANCER– Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

STAGECOACH– Commenced to tire from the 600 metres before being beaten 143 metres. A post-race veterinary report revealed the colt to have atrial fibrillation. Acting under Rule 101C(2)(a) STAGECOACH will now be required to provide a clear ECG including a veterinary certificate, be stood down for a period of 14 days and one requalifying trial.

 

RACE 8 – GARRARDS REAL REWARDS PACE – 1609 metres

BARA DAMON– Driver Chloe Formosa was fined $200 under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that passing the 300 metres when shifting wider on the track has contacted and flattened the offside sulky tyre of OUR REDEMPTION.

OUR REDEMPTION– Passing the 300 metres had its offside sulky wheel contacted and flattened by BARA DAMON.

CARRERA SUNSET NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to notify any gear for the mare. Post-race swab sample.

OZZIE SUNSHINE– Held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.

 

RACE 9 – ALLIED EXPRESS APP PACE – 1609 metres

BERTIE JONES NZ– Shifted out under pressure despite the efforts of Driver Lleyton Green for which a warning was issued.

POPS BOY– Caught wide early before being restrained in the early stages to a position in the running line approaching the 1000 metres.

ANANAIS NZ– Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field approaching the 850 metres.

SON OF THE SHARK– Post-race swab sample.

DRAGON TATTOO NZ– Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.

LOUTENANT NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
