STEWARDS REPORT FOR MELTON

Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted. 

 

RACE 1 – ALLIED EXPRESS PACE (1720 MS)

IDEAL ESCAPE – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

HEZA SON OF AGUN– Withdrawn at 4.56pm due to the late arrival on course of the horse. It was noted that there was significant traffic resulting from a road accident enroute to the racecourse and the horse was stood down for a period of one (1) day.

YAMBUKIAN– Raced three wide in the early stages.

DISTRICT ATTORNEY– Inconvenienced near the 100m.

 

RACE 2 – TAB WE.RE ON PACE (2240 MS)

FIRST DANCE NZ – Trainer Jess Tubbs was fined $50 under AHRR 273(6)(b) for failing to advise of the gear for the mare. Held up making the turn into the home straight.

INVITATION ONLY NZ– Locked wheels making the turn into the home straight. At the request of the Trainer a post-race Veterinary examination and endoscopic scope revealed mucus in the gelding’s trachea.

FIAMMA– Broke gait in the score up and placed on its last chance in the draw.

VANQUISH STRIDE NZ– Pulled hard in the middle stages and held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight.

RAKERO SLAMMER NZ - Locked wheels making the turn into the home straight.

 

RACE 3 – HARAS DES TROTTEURS NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (2YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS) FINAL (2240 MS)

PARLEZVOUS PATTY – Hung in on the first turn and broke gait near the 1400m.

VOLDAGHA– Out of position after breaking gait in the score up. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

ALDEBARAN ZANE– Trainer Jarrod Alchin was fined $50 under AHRR 273(6)(b) for failing to advise of the gear for the gelding. Began badly and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

SEBASTIANS WAITING- Trainer David Miles was cautioned for failing to advise of the gear for the gelding.

ALDEBARAN ABEL- Trainer Geoff Webster was cautioned for failing to advise of the gear for the gelding. Broke gait on the first turn and again near the 300m, the gelding will now be stood down pending a satisfactory trial before being permitted to start again.

ENCHAUFFOUR- Out of position after breaking gait in the score up. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Broke gait near the 1800m.

ROMA SOLDIER– Broke gait near the 900m and a warning issued.

KYVALLEY JAGGER- Out of position after breaking gait in the score up. The gelding will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Broke gait on three occasions in running and placed on its last chance to race tractably.

OGDEN– Broke gait after the start and will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

 

RACE 4 – HARAS DES TROTTEURS NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (3YO TROTTING FILLIES) FINAL (2240 MS)

KEAYANG GYPSEY – Raced three wide in the middle stages.

HARD ROCK ANGEL– Trainer Lisa Miles was cautioned for failing to advise of the gear for the filly. Contacted sulky near the 300m.

PREFERRED LOVE- Trainer Anton Golino was fined $50 under AHRR 273(6)(b) for failing to advise of the gear for the filly.

MAORIS MAC– Driver Josh Aiken was fined $200 under AHRR 156(7) for using his whip outside the confines of the sulky.

THIRD EYE– Returned having cast its near fore plate.

HURRICANE KATIE – Co-Trainers C & T Jamieson were cautioned for failing to advise of the gear for the filly. Began badly and will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

LEGGY PEGGY– Shifted out and had its sulky contacted near the 300m. Returned with a flat tyre.

KEYANG TEWWTYBIRD- Out of position in the score up. The gelding will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

THE PRIESTESS– Began badly and will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.  

 

RACE 5 – NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (2YO FILLIES) FINAL (2240 MS)

CRUSADER MISS- Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $50 under AHRR 273(6)(b) for failing to advise of the gear for the filly.

LONDON BABY– Trainer Amanda Turnbull was fined $100 for failing to notify the tactics of her multiple runners in this race.

SUGAR RUSH– Tired, beaten 73m. Returned with a flat tire. A post-race veterinary examination and endoscopic scope revealed no significant abnormalities. A warning issued in regard to its performance.

IVSEENHEAVENSLIGHT- Trainer Clayton Tonkin was fined $100 for failing to notify the tactics of his multiple runners in this race.

LILLY LOTUS- Began badly and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Inconvenienced making the turn into the home straight.

WICKED SUSAN- Inconvenienced on the first turn and again inconvenienced making the turn into the home straight.

 

 

 

RACE 6 – NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (2YO COLTS & GELDINGS) FINAL (2240 MS)

ROLINGINTHEDEEP - Tired, beaten 59m, no action taken.

GOLDEN TRIBE– Pulled hard in the middle stages. Tired, beaten 76m and a warning issued.

STAY FOOLISH- Tired, beaten 62m, no action taken.

WAZZA– Returned lame in the off fore and subsequently received veterinary treatment. The colt will now be stood down for 7 days and veterinary clearance before being permitted to start again.

HEZATREACHEROUS- Tired, beaten 82m and a warning issued.

 

RACE 7 – HARAS DES TROTTEURS NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (3YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS) FINAL (2240 MS)

PROHIBITED LOVE – Broke gait making the turn into the home straight. The gelding will now be stood down pending a satisfactory trial before being permitted to start again.

VAL THORENS– Broke gait making the turn into the home straight.

ALDEBARAN MARSHALL– Broke gait on the first turn.

BILLY ZIPPIN- Broke gait on the first turn and a warning issued.

EWING– Raced three wide in the early stages.

DEREK THE JET– Raced wide in the early stages. Contacted marker pegs making the turn into the home straight.

KYVALLEY MUGSY- Out of position after breaking gait in the score up. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Broke gait on three occasions in running and placed on its last chance to race tractably.

MAJESTIC ACT- Out of position in the score up. The gelding will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Broke gait on two occasions in running and a warning issued.

MILITARY MERIT- Out of position in the score up. The gelding will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Broke gait on the home turn. The gelding will now be stood down for a period of ten (10) days and a satisfactory trial before being permitted to start again.

 

RACE 8 – WOODLANDS STUD NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (3YO FILLIES) FINAL (2240 MS)

CANT HEAR YOU – Raced roughly near the 600m in the back straight.

 

RACE 9 – HARAS DES TROTTEURS NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (2YO TROTTING FILLIES) FINAL (2240 MS)

MAROON BELLS – Broke gait in the score up and again shortly after the start. The filly will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

YOUR MAJESTY– Broke gait on the first turn.

PATRICIA RUBY NZ– Broke gait making the turn into the home straight.

NO MONEY NO HONEY– Sulky contacted on the first turn.

SKY FLAIR– Inconvenienced shortly after the start.

SHEZALOVER– Broke gait making the turn into the home straight.

THELMABELLA– Shifted out when being eased on the first turn and broke gait after making contact with a sulky.

KEAYANG KURKI– Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

 

RACE 10 – ALABAR BLOODSTOCK NUTREIN EQUINE CLASSIC (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS) FINAL (2240 MS)

MISTER BRILLANTE – Broke gait in the score up and now placed on its last chance in the draw. Gave ground in the final lap.

PETES ONA MISSION– Tired, beaten 72m and a warning issued.

DORRISTOPAYTHEBILL– Underwent a veterinary examination and cleared to start.

MICHAYWEY- Gave ground in the final lap.

MY ULTIMATE HARRY- Tired, beaten 72m and a warning issued.
