STEWARDS REPORT FOR MELTON

Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

 

RACE 1 – HYGAIN PACE (1720 MS)

GENERAL – Prior to the all clear being given Stewards reviewed the start of the race. It was ascertained that the start was effected shortly after entering the back straight, which was approximately 50m prior to the 1720m start. Stewards were satisfied that after taking into account the start and the way the race was run, that no runner had been disadvantaged. As such the all clear was declared

CASTLE SINCLAIR – Broke gait in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

LEAVEMEOUT – Broke gait after the start and placed on its last chance to race truly.

RARIFIED MAN– Held up making the turn into the home straight.

SWEETGAMBLINGROSE– Pulled hard in running and shifted out under pressure.

GLENLINE– Raced three wide in the early and middle stages.

CLARENDEN VICTORY– Tired, beaten 274m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrythmia. The gelding will now be stood down for 14 days. It will also require an ECG, veterinary clearance and complete one satisfactory trial before being permitted to start again.

GOODTIME MIKI- In accordance with HRV Animal Welfare Policy (Not raced 12mths+) it underwent pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.  Both examinations revealed no significant abnormalities. Broke gait after the start and placed on its last chance to race truly.

HUNGRY HOGARTH- Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Broke gait near the 400m and placed on its last chance to race truly.

 

 

RACE 2 –

ALDEBARAN PARK TROT (1720 MS)

PICKET WIRE - Held up making the turn into the home straight.

HES THEMIGHTY SPIN - – Broke gait just after the start and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

RACE 3 – TAB WE’RE ON 3YO PACE (2240 MS)

KIMCANDO– Pulled hard, broke gait in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

GOOD TOBE LOCKSLEY– Pulled hard in the early stages.

EASTBRO KOZZY– Raced three wide in the early stages.

VERY PRETTY– Fractious in the score up and placed on its last chance in the draw.

RACE 4 – CENTRE STATE PRINTING TROT (2240 MS)

LADY VICI – Out of position in the score up and will continue to be placed outside the draw at its future starts.

YOU NO ILL BE LATE– Pulled hard in running.

IMPERIAL WHIZ NZ- In accordance with HRV Animal Welfare Policy (200 starts) it underwent pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.  Both examinations revealed no significant abnormalities.

RACE 5 – BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS PACE (1720 MS)

CAPTAIN WILSON– Jostled making the turn into the home straight.

MAJOR MANBAR– Raced three wide in the early stages and hung in during the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a Grade 2 EIPH.

OPERATIVE LINE- Jostled making the turn into the home straight.

RACE 6 – BERALDO COFFEE PACE  (1720 MS)

VANQUISH STRIDE NZ - Held up making the turn into the home straight.

KOSIMO– Raced three wide in the early stages.

I CAST NO SHADOW NZ- Raced three wide in the early and middle stages.

RACE 7 – IRT PACE (1720 MS)

BEACH HOPPER NZ – Inconvenienced shortly after the start.

OZZIE PUNTA– Hung in the score up. Broke gait after the start and placed on its last chance to race truly. Thereafter pulled hard in running.

THE SPORTZ STAR- Held up making the turn into the home straight.

MOMENTUM SWING– Pulled hard in the score up. Suffered a gear failure during the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

SASSYOLA - In accordance with HRV Animal Welfare Policy (200 starts) it underwent pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.  Both examinations revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

RACE 8 – LOGICAL STAFFING SOLUTIONS PACE (1720 MS)

STRONG RESPONSE – Pulled hard in running.

BETTER DAY– Driver Jordan Chibnall was cautioned for shifting ground.

WATTLEBANK ARNIE NZ– Raced wide in the early stages. Inconvenienced making the turn into the home straight.

MADIGAN– A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore. It subsequently received veterinary treatment and was stood down for seven (7) days, It will also require a veterinary clearance before being permitted to start again.

OOH AH LISTAH– Hung out and was out of position in the score up. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

RACE 9 – ALLIED EXPRESS TROT (1720 MS)

BLACKRANGE GLORY - Broke gait just after the start and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

HILLWINSOME - Out of position in the score up and will now be placed on its last chance in the draw.

CHEERMEONIMDANCIN– Trainer Jason Ainsworth was cautioned for failing to provide the tactics for his multiple runners in this race.

MATTYO– Broke gait on the first turn. Raced three wide in the middle stages. Broke gait in the back straight and broke again in the final lap. The gelding will now be stood down pending completing a satisfactory trial before being permitted to start again.

BROWN EYED KATE– Raced wide in the early stages. Driver Paddy Meade was cautioned for his foot becoming detached from the footrest in the home straight.

THE GIRLS GOTFLAIR– Inconvenienced in the first turn.

SHADOW JUSTICE- Inconvenienced in the first turn.
