The sprint lane was in operation at todays event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – 2024 SA BOTRA 2YO KINDERGARTEN SERIES (HEAT 4)– 1800MS

A false start was called when TIGER ROARS (S Pascoe) broke in the latter stages of the score up checking BIZZIE LIZZIE (J Kittel). TIGER ROARS will be excluded from the draw in future mobile start races.

TORQUE INTHEUSA (R Hryhorec) hung inwards leaving the front straight after the start inconveniencing BIZZIE LIZZIE (J Kittel).

TIGER ROARS contacted and dislodged a marker peg near the 800 metres.

ART REGAL (K Rogers) paced roughly near the 300 metres then galloped severely checking TORQUE INTHEUSA. A warning was placed on ART REGAL.

RACE 2 – AB AIR SERVICES PACE - 2230MS

URGOODBOY (L Ryan) broke gait in the front straight final occasion and a warning was issued.

RACE 3 – BIANCO REINFORCING TROTTERS MOBILE - 1800MS

LOVELORN (W Hill) raced roughly shortly after the start and a warning was issued.

YOU REALLY GOT ME (M Smith) galloped in the back straight first occasion and front straight final time and a warning was issued.

SPEEDYSEBASTIAN (A Chapman) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile start races.

RACE 4 – K & S ELECTRICAL PACE – 1800MS

SANTIAGO LOU (R Hryhorec) which broke gait shortly after the start will be excluded from the draw future mobile start races.

A warning was placed on FROLICONTHEBEACH (K Rogers) which broke gait in the back straight final occasion.

RACE 5 – BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

A warning was placed on SULTAN SASS (D Smith) which galloped shortly after the start and took no completive part in the race.

MUSCLE MISS (E Brechin) galloped on the turn off the back straight first occasion and a warning was issued.  MUSCLE MISS thereafter took no completive part in the race.

WHITE STAR WHIZZ (T Pullicino) was inclined to shift ground up the track on the final occasion which allowed an inside run for WISHING ZONE (K Rogers).

RACE 6 – LADBROKES SAME RACE MULTI PACE – 1800MS

A post race veterinary examination of SABREUR (J Kittel) revealed it had suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer Symon Kittel was advised the gelding will be stood down 3 months, veterinary clearance required and must complete a satisfactory trial.

LUV ME OR HATE ME (L Ryan) contacted and dislodged a marker peg when crossing TWIN CONNECTION (D Billinger) after the winning post on the first occasion.

RACE 7 – HYGAIN RELEASE PACE – 1800MS

CRUISING BELLEW (S Pascoe) which broke gait immediately after the start will be excluded from the draw future mobile start races.

The reinsperson licence of David Smith (BRUZER) was suspended for 7 days under R163(1)(a)(iii) after he had pleaded guilty to a charge of causing interference to STRAWBERRY DELIGHT (D Girardi) when shifting ground outwards near the 350 metres to obtain a clear run.  In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account the guilty plea and previous good driving record.

RACE 8 – LADBROKES ODDS SURGE PACE – 1800MS

STEAM CLEANED (D Smith) was out of position at the start despite the efforts of the driver.

BULLYS DELIGHT (D Girardi) lost the near side knee boot near the 400 metres.

Post race veterinary examination of JAKES SPORTWRITER (S Loone) which led the race before hanging off the pegs in the backstraight on the final occasion revealed lameness in near hind leg. JAKES SPORTWRITER will be stood down until a veterinary clearance is tendered.

RACE 9 – LADBROKES EASY FORM PACE – 1800MS

LIEUTENANT JACK (S Adams) hung outwards when wide on the track approaching the home turn final occasion.

RACE 10 – ECO-WISE PLUMBING GROUP TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

All clear was delayed to allow Stewards to view the start. After viewing the video, the all clear was given.

ALLEYES (S Pascoe) after delaying the start, stood flat footed and refused to move away with the field. ALLEYES will now be drawn right out of the draw in standing start races. A warning was also placed on ALLEYES for galloping in the home straight on the final occasion.

A warning was placed on KYVALLEY SURFERGIRL (M Smith) for galloping approaching home turn on the first occasion and thereafter taking no competitive part in the race.

A warning was placed on BEWARE THE FURY (K Rogers) which galloped in the back straight final occasion.
