The sprint lane was in operation at todays event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – LADBROKE IT! PACE   – 1800MS

Pre-race veterinary examination of NO WIN NO WORRIES as horse raced at Port Pirie 7th April 2024. Passed fit to race.

Reinspersons licence of Corey Johnson (WHITESTARCHRISTIAN) was suspended for 14 days under R163(1)(a) after being found guilty to a charge of contributing to crossing when attempting to take a position in advance of BETTOR BE LIVELY (N Brown) leaving the front straight after the start. BETTOR BE LIVELY galloped when checked and caused severe interference to ROLL WITH EUNICE (K Rogers)  and TREACHEROUS ROCK (D Girardi). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the nature of the interference and previous driving record.

TREACHEROUS ROCK sustained a laceration off front leg in the incident.

Reinsperson Dean Girardi (TREACHEROUS ROCK) was fined $100 under R156(4)(b)(ii) for using whip when out of contention.

ROLL WITH EUNICE (K Rogers) will be reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier events.

RACE 2 –  VALE JANET COX PACE - 1800MS

RACE 3 – THE GLOBE BAR & GAMING PACE - 1800MS

BRANSON (B Page) which galloped shortly after the start will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races.

ARCTIC WIND (S Pascoe) hung inwards leaving the winning post after the start and dislodged a marker peg.

RACE 4 – ‘KING OF THE NORTH USA’ @ LLOWALONG FARMS TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

THEBESTOFFICIAL (C Johnson) which galloped shortly after the start and twice in running will be stood down from racing until it completes a satisfactory trial.

Warnings were placed on OUR SPITFIRE (T Brown) and WISHING ZONE (K Rogers) which both galloped shortly after the start.

HORSE OF COURSE (W Hill) galloped free of interference near 400 metres and warning issued.

RACE 5 – LADBROKES EASY FORM PACE – 2230MS

Trainer Aaron Bain (LOLITA) was fined $50 under R273(6)(b) for having gear not correctly notified.

HOPPERS DREAM (T Brown) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier races.

RACE 6 – BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE – 1800MS

TRADE WHISPERS (S Pascoe) hung inwards after winning post and dislodged a marker peg.

A post race veterinary examination of CALCULATING DANCER (T Pullicino) which paced roughly at various stages revealed it had tyed up. Trainer will treat the gelding.

ABHISHEK (T McMahon) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier races.
