RACE 1  –  STEELINE PACE–  2090M - MOBILE

JILLIBY MENDOZA- Showed gait speed and obtained a position behind the leader. Was held up for a clear run in the early part of the home straight.

CLIFFHANGER- Showed gait speed. Held up for a clear run in the early part of the home straight.

SHAUN TO THE MAX- Had a tendency to race fiercely while in a trailing position.

FIESTA STRIDE- Showed gait speed to lead the event.

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS- Caught racing three wide in the early stages before progressing forward to sit outside the leader.

MAGIC JOE- Raced three wide over the late stages of the event.

JUSTIFY- Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the rear of the field. JUSTIFY tired over the concluding stages of the event. A post race veterinarian examination revealed minor abrasions to its near hind pastern. JUSTIFY was stood down for a period of 10 days to allow for healing.

RACE 2  –  MORNINGTON INN PACE–  2090M - MOBILE

HURRICANE ROCK- Showed gait speed before gaining the position behind the leader racing into the back straight on the first occasion.

LORD VERDE NZ- Showed gait speed and secured the position one out one back in the early stages.

NINE DIAMONDS- Caught racing three wide before restraining to the rear in the back straight on the first occasion.

KOLOVOS NZ- Raced roughly in the score up and showed gait speed to lead the event.

PADDY MACH- Showed gait speed to gain the position outside the leader.

ROCK ON PLAYBOY- Held up for a clear run in the early stages of the home turn. Utilised the sprint lane from the home turn.

RANIERI NZ- Left a trailing position off the back straight to race wide. Driver fined for the manner in which the whip was used racing around the final turn.

ONEOFTHELADS- Left a trailing position to race three wide in the back straight on the final occasion.

RAMBUNCTIOUS- Tended to pull hard in the score up. Made ODM from RODM.

RACE 3  –  A&T ROOFING SPECIALISTS PACE–  1609M - MOBILE

MISCELLANEOUS- Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.

IMHOOKED- Showed gait speed and obtained a trail in the middle stages. Held up for a run in the early stages.

LADY STRIDE- Showed gait speed and secured the position outside the leader.

POPNPENNIES- Restrained at the start.

KERMADEC- Restrained at the start. Raced three wide in the middle and late stages of the event. Hung in off the back straight despite the driver’s efforts and raced in restricted room for a short distance.

AH MACH NZ-Showed gait speed to lead the event.

LOU LOUS ALLGOLD- Restrained at the start. Raced three wide in the middle and late stages with a trail. Broke free of interference racing into the back straight. Given its previous good record in relation to this offence, was placed on its last chance to race truly.

GRAPHITE STRIDE- Raced roughly in the score up and held up for a run in the early stages of the home straight.

WRITTEN IN SILK- Hung outwards and raced in restricted room in the back straight on the final occasion.

VIVID STRIDE- Held up for a clear run in the early part of the home straight.

RACE 4  –  SHAMROCK HOTEL PACE–  2090M - MOBILE

OUR RUBY ROSE- Hung out and broke free of interference in the back straight on the first occasion, given its previous record the mare was stood down to 1 satisfactory stewards trial.

ISOLATION- Showed gait speed and lead the event.

MONEYS NO ISSUE- Showed gait speed to gain the position outside the leader. Obtained a trail in  the middle stages of the event.

MAYLEEJAE EAGLE- Caught racing 3 wide in the early stages before restraining to the rear.

ALEXIS ROCKET NZ- Broke in the score up resulting in the gelding being out of position at the start. The gelding will be excluded from the mobile draw in future race starts. Broke free of interference in the back straight and was retired from the event. The gelding must complete one satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to its next race start.

SOUTHERN LUCK- Showed gait speed to gain the position outside the leader.

CANT BLUFF YOU- Driver Reprimanded for failing to keep both feet in the footrests, shortly after the start, Stewards took into consideration his previous good record. Tired over the final stages of the event and will be placed on its last chance to race competitively given its previous good record.

RACE 5  –  HEALTH DYNAMICS PACE–  1609M - MOBILE

GALAXY DANCER- Showed gait speed to lead the event before surrendering the lead in the middle stages to obtain a trail. Driver suspended.

SPOOKY GIRL- showed gait speed at the start. Severely checked and fell after contacting a sulky wheel shortly after entering the front straight for the run to the finish. Veterinary certificate required prior to next start.

DO NOT SURRENDER- Showed gait speed to gain the position outside the leader. Forced wider shortly after entering the front straight and had its sulky wheel contacted.

IDEN BLACK PRINCE- Caught racing three wide in the early stages before having to restrain to the rear of the field. Had to be checked and inconvenienced shortly after entering the home straight due to a fallen horse and broke gait.

MR KIWI NZ- Restrained after the start and inconvenienced entering the front straight by a fallen horse.

LORIMERTYRRELL- Restrained at the start.

EQUITY STRIDE- Severely inconvenienced as a result of the fallen horse. Post-race veterinarian examination revealed no abnormalities.

GOBSMACKED- Restrained at the start. Pulled hard throughout the event.

ENDEAVOUR STRIDE- Left a trailing position in the front straight on the first occasion to race three wide before leading the event.

BEAST MODE- Severely inconvenienced by the fallen horse and broke gait entering the front straight on the final occasion. Post race veterinarian inspection revealed no obvious abnormalities.

General- Stewards questioned Drivers Jack Watson (SPOOKY GIRL), Paul Hill (DO NOT SURRENDER) and Jacob Duggan (GALAXY DANCER) in the presence of Senior Driver Ricky Duggan into reasons why Spooky Girl fell shortly after entering the front straight for the run to the finish. After taking evidence from all drivers and viewing the official patrol films and stewards acting on their own observation, Driver Jacob Duggan pleaded guilty to a charge under provisions of AHRR163(1)(a)(iii). The particulars of the charge are that shortly after entering the front straight Jacob Duggan contributed to the interference when he shifted GALAXY DANCER outwards to gain a clear run and doing so shifted Paul Hill, (DO NO SURRENDER) wider on the track resulting in SPOOKY GIRL, (Jack Watson) contacting the sulky wheel of DO NOT SURRENDER and falling to the track. Driver Jack Watson was dislodged. The following runners IDEN BLACK PRINCE, MR KIWI NZ, EQUITY STRIDE and BEAST MODE were all severely inconvenienced as a result of the fallen horse and driver. 

The drivers license of Jacob Duggan was suspended for a period of four meetings to commence at midnight 22nd March 2024 and he would be eligible to recommence driving after midnight 05 April 2024.

Stewards when considering a penalty took into consideration driver Jacob Duggan’s excellent driving record and his guilty plea.

RACE 6  –  BELLE PARKER @ HOMES REALESTATE PACE–  2090M - MOBILE

ROCKS ROY- Showed gait speed at the start. Driver fined for unapproved whip manner.

FURY DAN- Showed gait speed. Raced three wide in the late stages.

KARALTA DAZZLER- Gave ground over the concluding stages of the event.

KIAVINO STRIDE- Showed gait speed to lead the event.

MAJOR MUCHA- Tended to hang inwards.

PAWNBROKERS LAD- Gave ground over the concluding stages.

THE DEMOCRAT- Utilised the sprint lane.

SEA HAWKE- Restrained at the start.

OZZIE MAJOR- Restrained at the start.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ- Out of position at the start, Driver reprimanded. Restrained at the start. Left a trailing position in the middle stages to gain the position outside the leader in the back straight to receive the bell.

RACE 7 – AVISO TAS PACE–  2090M - STAND

THEUGLYSISTER- Galloped out and will be excluded from the draw in standing start events. Broke free of interference and given its previous record was stood down until the completion of two satisfactory stewards trials.

NO NUKES SKIPPER NZ- Was fractious before the start. Gained the position outside the leader, then obtained a trailing position in the middle stages.

SMOOTH DEAL NZ- Held up for a clear run in the early stages of the home turn, then tightened for room and contacted marker pegs.

COOL SCOOTER NZ- Delayed the start and galloped away, given its good record was placed on its last chance in the draw.

WHERE YA BIN NZ- Was caught racing three wide before gaining a trail position in the early stages.

DEADLY ASSASSIN- Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.

IMPULZE- Galloped away and will continue to be excluded from the draw. Raced three wide in the middle stages to gain the position outside the leader. Tended to hang inwards at various stages throughout the race and was placed on its last chance to race truly.
