RACE 1 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS GOLD CROWN HEAT 1 – 1730 metres
GOOD CHAT– Pre-race blood sample.
WAZZA– Pre-race blood sample.
HEZZA MALTEEZA– Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride free of interference passing the 250 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
SOHO DARKNSTORMY– Broke stride free of interference passing the 800 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, it will be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
SWEET ON LEXY– Worked forward to the lead approaching the 800 metres. Post-race swab sample. Back in the mobile barrier draw.
FOZZ– Broke Stride free of interference passing the 1500 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
RACE 2 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS GOLD CROWN HEAT 2 – 1730 metres
SEVEN TEE TWO– Broke stride free of interference passing the 1400 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery. Acting on veterinary advice it was stood down for a period of 7 days and the production of a veterinary certificate of clearance.
EVELYNS DRAGON– Inconvenienced and raced roughly passing the 800 metres when the tempo of the event was slackened.
RATATATTAT– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field approaching the 1400 metres.
LOCKITINEDDY– Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced and raced roughly passing the 800 metres when the tempo of the event was slackened.
FOX DAN– Caught racing wide in the early and middle stages of the event before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sample.
SOVEREIGN PLACE– Back in the mobile barrier draw.
LA CAVALLETTA– Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 3 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS GOLD CROWN HEAT 3 – 1730 metres
STAY FOOLISH– Pre-race blood sample.
SPRINGFIELD AMORE– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres.
SOHO FURY– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1500 metres. Post-race swab sample.
CHLOBRO– Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
WARRAWEES SHOUT– Pre-race blood sample. Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride free of interference passing the 400 metres checking WOOPAA causing that runner to also break stride momentarily. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
RED SAPPHIRE– Improved three wide from the 800 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 500 metres.
WOOPAA– Checked and broke passing the 400 metres when WARRAWEES SHOUT broke stride.
RACE 4 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS GOLD CROWN HEAT 4 – 1730 metres
SOHO GUNSLINGER – Pre-race blood sample. Stewards questioned Driver Rickie Alchin with regards to the performance of the colt which commenced to tire sharply passing the 500 metres to finish in 8th placing beaten 97 metres. Mr Alchin advised stewards that the colt performed below expectations this evening and in his view had probably had enough this preparation and would now likely go for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination of the colt revealed it to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Alchin and in consideration of the recent record of the colt, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
AIR BORN– Slow to begin. Driver Mitch Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) careless driving, in that approaching the 400 metres he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent his gelding from contacting the near side sulky wheel of SOHO GUNSLINGER which had commenced to tire badly causing AIR BORN to be checked and break stride. After considering the recent record of Mr Turnbull, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
SANCHEZ– Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stage of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.
MY ULTIMATE BARNEY– Caught racing four wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 5 – TLE ELECTRICAL SMOOTH SATIN PACING CUP – 2260 metres
ROCKNROLL GIG– Pre-race blood sample. Used spring lane.
JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ– Post-race swab sample.
SMALTESE– A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed it to have bled in both nostrils and acting in accordance with Rule 101(3)(a) the horse was stood down for a period of 3 months, the production of a veterinary certificate of clearance and completion of one requalifying trial.
MYRA DAWN– Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
BLACK ONYZ– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1800 metres.
ON DEADLINE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 6 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS GOLD CROWN HEAT 5 – 1730 metres
MY ULTIMATE FREDDIE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1000 metres. Broke under pressure passing the 150 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
SMOKING JOEY– Slow to begin. Broke stride free of interference passing the 1300 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, it was be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
BUSINESS IN HEAVEN– Hung in at various stages throughout the event. After considering the recent record of the colt, a warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.
LEAVEAMESSAGE– Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw.
GO JACK CROCKER– Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1450 metres.
ZERON– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.
KINGSTON RAINBOW–Raced roughly passing the 700 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, a warning was issued.
RACE 7 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS GOLD CROWN HEAT 6 – 1730 metres
JACKS ULTIMATE FURY NZ– Post-race swab sample.
MAC BON– Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining a position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres.
MYSTERIOUS BEACH– Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride free of interference passing the 1400 metres. After considering the recent record of the colt, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
RACE 8 – GEMS ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING GOLD CORONET – 1730 metres
HILLWINSOME– Hung in during the latter stages of the score up and broke stride causing the gelding to be out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
TARENTAISE– Pre-race blood sample.
MAXIMUS MERIDIUS– Worked forward to the lead passing the 900 metres. Post-race swab sample.
GIN TONIQUE– Fractious during the latter stages of the score up and galloped out. After considering the recent record of the filly, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Hung in and broke stride on multiple occasions during the event. After considering the recent record of the filly, it was stood down for a period of 10 days and until the completion of two requalifying trials.
RACE 9 – HORNSBY WIZARD GLASS & WINDOW TROTTERS CUP – 2795 metres
YOUNG SON– Tired over the concluding stages of the event to finish in 6th placing beaten 87 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
