TULHURST DANCER– Driver J Chapple was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when approaching the 1300 metres has shifted his runner down the track when insufficiently clear of MAMMALS HEART and as a result that runner was placed in restricted racing room for a short period of time.

TULHURST SMOOCHER– Driver A Hurst was queried on the mare’s overall performance where she was caught racing three wide in the early stages until finding a position in the running line at the 1100 metres, when placed under pressure over the final 600 metres tired out of the event to finish in tenth and last position beaten 226.6 metres.  Miss Hurst stated that with the false start and having to do more work in the early stages the mare failed to settle and believed she may have choked herself off causing her to tire over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  Connections were advised that TULHURST SMOOCHER will be stood down for one requalifying trial.

MAMMALS HEART– Approaching the 1300 metres was placed in restricted racing room for a shot time when TULHURST DANCER had shifted in.
